I love the fact that you refer to each character by their spirit. It’s a small gesture, but it does a lot to emphasize that World of Light is a celebration of video game history. Regardless of your feelings on the gameplay of World of Light, you have to respect the amount of work and passion the dev team put in to have each battle themed to a spirit.
Also, because it would be stupid to refer to the fight as anything (e.g. the Lucina and Shulk fight in the bottom right for Fiona). Credit where credit is due something, but this minor choice is not praise-worthy.
@@LilacMonarch From what I've experienced, many battles, especially those in the novice and advanced levels (for the most part), can be easily beaten with someone like King K. Rool in mind. For Ace level Spirits, sometimes you can beat them without Spirits in mind, but other fights definitely need Spirits if you aren't doing the strategies like Chrom/Ike's Aether moves or Lucario or even Donkey Kong as some regular examples. Legend battles definitely need trick strategies to win against more often than not, especially Spirit battles like Giga Mac or Caeda. Seriously, the only one I remember not really needing a Spirit without trick strategies was against Deoxys. That was pretty much it there.

It's actually funny to think of how Galeem and Dharkon are functionally "holding back" in the final battle. They are currently facing each other in combat, and you're sort of just there. In fact, if you stagger one, the other will do a massive blow to them. It's not until their phase two when they realize just how dangerous your team is, and start getting serious against you. Even then, though, they are "holding back," since they still have to hold the other one off as well. It’s funny how the Rex fight is just a slightly harder Fiora fight now that the fight has been altered. If you bought the Pyra DLC, the stage will be Cloud Sea and the Fire floor will be gone, it’s now just a Shulk and Lucina with a fire bar. Also…Sora is legit very good for this type of challenge since he can easily carry foes off stage with Thundaga and can cheese spirits like Akuma because they forgot to code the AI to fight against his up tilt.
I really like how you pronounce the Spirits' names incredibly literally. Stuff like "Mario Mario Tennis Aces" and "Sakura Fire Emblem". Made me laugh every time. Great work as always!
Technically saying Mario Mario tennis aces could mean Mario from Mario tennis aces but since Mario Mario is Mario’s full name, it could be Mario Mario from tennis aces and I love how the devs made that his name. The same thing applies to Luigi Mario tennis aces.
I love the patreon names at then end, it's a mix of actual serious names, people challenging each other, and people trying to get Gamechamp to say funny things.

The amount of dedication and commitment to not only complete this challenge, but also upload every successful fight AND make a spreadsheet to make certain fights easier just proves how much you care about providing entertaining and inspiring content.
Quick note: Galeem and darz can damage each other, but cannot kill one another. Let them each get the other to 0.1 hp and you don’t have to deal with any full power attacks.
1:02:25 Plot twist: Kirby survived again... Mainly because Galeem stole his lunch so Gallem's death is now the only possible path forward for this universe.

That final moment was such a fucking hype ending. Lucario just standing there, unfazed by the massive tentacles of doom, then firing back with the killing blow.
"I would say something about the enemy AI being bad, but let's be honest, you probably do this more often than the AI does". Hahahahahahaha damn shots fired... At me
9:01 - Ganondorf hit you with wizard kick, sending both of you offstage. - He recovered and grabbed the ledge before you, so you were able to steal the ledge, which forces the earlier ledge-grabber off of the ledge with no i-frames. - You then used a getup attack before he could re-grab the ledge, launching him to the left and into the stage. - He tried to perform a tech (the smash's community's name for the technique in which you input an air dodge just as you collide with a wall to cancel all momentum and instantly recover), but he mistimed it, meaning the air dodge input... actually output an air dodge. - By the time the air dodge ended, recovery was out of the question because Ganondorf is, in fact, Ganondorf. I'm sure someone explained this three years ago, but if I'm somehow the first, I hope I could help :)

That “I’m a Supa Smash Bruddas Mastah!” gives me so much life
11:22 for those wondering
It’s funny how the Rex fight is just a slightly harder Fiora fight now that the fight has been altered. If you bought the Pyra DLC, the stage will be Cloud Sea and the Fire floor will be gone, it’s now just a Shulk and Lucina with a fire bar.
Also…Sora is legit very good for this type of challenge since he can easily carry foes off stage with Thundaga and can cheese spirits like Akuma because they forgot to code the AI to fight against his up tilt.
Whoever put "Old hand yells at Cloud" during the Cloud 2 battle in the chat, bless you.
I really like how you pronounce the Spirits' names incredibly literally. Stuff like "Mario Mario Tennis Aces" and "Sakura Fire Emblem". Made me laugh every time. Great work as always!
Sans Undertale energy
Technically saying Mario Mario tennis aces could mean Mario from Mario tennis aces but since Mario Mario is Mario’s full name, it could be Mario Mario from tennis aces and I love how the devs made that his name. The same thing applies to Luigi Mario tennis aces.
Holy crap, Snake's A.I. knew to hurt itself to reset it's recovery. I'm actually impressed.

On this episode of gamechamp torturing themselves
9:01
- Ganondorf hit you with wizard kick, sending both of you offstage.
