Thank you for the shout out!! It was a pleasure working with you on the Melee portion. I'm very proud that you tackled the other games too. Well done!!
Hey Nathaniel, I don't know if RubberDuckyAssassin mentioned it in his talks with you, but I'm currently the only one (as far as I know) that has done a full challenge board speedrun of Brawl without using hammers. It took me almost 80 hours with somewhat optimized routing, so it's definitely not an easy task. I would be happy to help you out a bit with the sticker/trophy routing for the game if you do get enough likes to try again, since I have a good amount of ideas from my run and what you attempted here that could potentially spare you some pain next time around. If nothing else, I respect you for trying the full challenge - I genuinely hallucinated a bit during my run, so I can't imagine doing it for almost two weeks straight. It truly is a mind-numbing challenge haha
I don't think he mentioned you! If you have contacts with him, feel free to shoot him a message since I might come back to this and finish getting 100% in Brawl eventually
@NathanielBandy he asked me a couple of questions about stickers/subspace enemies when he was talking to you, but I'll be sure to keep on the radar if/when you try again!
It’s pretty stupid! There is absolutely no reason it’s not on there yet. It’s not like putting it on there will hinder Smash ultimate sales, either. They made their money on that game, anyway, and they are almost completely different games.
@@jhihowbvow I've played it for my whole life and I think it's worth having on NSO tbh Especially for someone like me who can't lug their N64 through every move. It's a damn shame it isn't already there but it's also not like they have too many big games to add anymore
I’ve just watched the whole video and… wow. This marathon is just so indescribable. The mental health drop you experienced at the start of these, like in 3D Mario and Mario Kart, was probably nothing compared to this. I’m glad you’re reworking the marathons for the future, you really need and deserve it, NB. No one should suffer this much just to entertain an audience, just remember that. Keep up the good work!
I'm always so intrigued by the very small ways Bandy mispronounces words I didn't think could be mispronounced. Like pronouncing "roulette" like the the starter pokemon from Sun and Moon, "rowlet"

World of Light takes forever bro. Each battle takes so long to load presumably because of the special conditions for each spirit battle. The experience dragged on real quick.
Yeah honestly I didn't notice on my first playthrough it wasn't until recently when I went back and decided to do ng+ that I realized how slow and numbing it was. Those loading screens really add up
Nathaniel, you are a man of fighting- I mean platform fighters because of this challenge. If you want to become a real man though, you must complete every variant of Street Fighter 2 out there, including remakes! For real, this is an ambitious video. I admire your efforts.
You technically can't 100% Melee without hacking because of the Mario & Yoshi and Samus Unmasked trophies and the milestone obtained from getting them along with every other trophy.
@nintendo-relatedchannel5810 it's almost like a Pokemon event, where you had to physically be there to "upload the trophies" to your memory card. What this actually did was unlock them from deep within the game's code. Both the Mario & Yoshi and Samus Unmasked trophies are on the Melee disc, it's just a matter of how you obtain them legitimately. In this case, it's never unless you hack the game and unlock them that way.
@@EpicJacob I have, beat it in a day. It's really short. That's why I say I'd be a break because as long as he's good at the game he should be able to beat each one really fast.
Really glad to hear you're improving the timer system. Can't wait to see more videos like these next year. Hope to see a mario-rpg or paper mario related one eventually, especially since mario and luigi are back.
For the new timer, I'd go for 224 hours as the new amount, that's 16 hour days for 2 weeks. or round it down to 200 hours, to cover the bathroom and meal breaks and setups etc etc. being about an hour and 40 mintes a day removed from the timer equivelant.
What I will likely do is look up the average 100% times for each game in a series, and then pick a time that's a lower then the average to see if it can be done
Insane Video and it was really fun to watch. I actually did all challanges on Brawl, Smash 3DS, Smash Wii U and Ultimate without ever using a hammer. I did not do it in 2 weeks of course, I think Brawl and Smash Wii U took me several weeks or months at that time, but I did not feel like its really 100% when I use a hammer. So I still have all hammers left while every achievement is unlocked. And yes, a lot of the challanges are annoying, like completing All Star with every char, but it is not meant to be done so quick. I had fun with it, cause I did it over a long time and when I felt like playing Smash, I could just hop in there alone or with a friend and play the game. It never felt exhausting.
So I checked the doc and as someone who has 100% the game here’s some useful information: - for one you DONT NEED TO PLAY CLASSIC MODE TO UNLOCK THE SPIRITS FOR THE FIGHTER CHARACTERS. You can buy them in the shop and they will always spawn as long as you do a couple of matches. There’s an optimal way to do this effectively I forgot the method but either way unless it’s a challenge you can skip most of classic mode which thank god. - Also for spirits equip eithier Medusa or the great zapfish to be giant and then play Ganon or Pyra and just mash smash attacks to quicken the spirit battles - I also recommend using the hammers for taking out the online challenges and that Sunday flash sale if your not doing this during a Sunday - All the smash challenge can be easily done it’s just setting up the rule sets that are annoying but for example for the robin flurry kill on a level 9 cpu just do it on a walkoff and Ridley skewer either a a level 1 cpu or you control the character. That’s some advice I can give great video
The "Doctor Mario Fever Rush" is a direct reference to his game. Because the main theme of the game is literally called Fever. The other is called Chill.
Your a mad man attempting this! I plan on doing all smash games including the one's the characters came from but to 100% everything from smash bros? And in under 2 weeks? You have my sympathy
Ngl Nathaniel, I 1000000000000000000% percent agree with you about the timer. Your not playing the game, if your sleeping and the like. If that timer is one while your said sleeping and such, the game is more playing you. Like with the 2d mario 100%ing you did, you where reviewing mario kart at the same time, so that's LOADS of time chewed up. (I think it's the mario vid. Mainly have your vids for background noise as I play a buggy game.) So, feel free to stretch your rules as much as you need! We're all rooting for you each time in every way! (Also, technically, this means you could redemption arc the ones you didn't finish.)
Watching you play Melee has unlocked a part of my brain that I forgot existed. The 100 Man Melee challenges were among some of my favorite things to do as a kid! Maybe I’ll whip this game out this weekend and share a piece of my childhood with my wife. Thanks for reminding me of this NB!
I can tell that smash wii u and smash 3ds are different somewhat after watching this video. I think you should've cut out one of those. They are effectively the same game with a slightly different coat of paint and different challenge/achievement list. I think including just the most up to date version when you have games that are a remake/remaster of each other would also make life easier. For example, you played a couple of different versions of the same Luigi's mansion instead of just the newest. It'll cut down immediate effort, video time, and the amount of stress the timer caused. Also, good idea for the new use of the timer. It'll also allow you a break from the challenge, so you can eat, sleep, shower, or play something else to recharge more easily. Playing very similar games back to back for a week or 2 straight is draining, so extending the challenge to a month or 2 to keep your mind feeling fresh going into each title might be a better approach.
For even trying and almost completing this challenge Bandy should be proud of himself! So many hours and days spent where spent on this and man, he should just get a world record for these challenges.
I love how much content Brawl has. Even if you didn't have any friends to play with, you got your money's worth, and then some. My strategy for most of World of Light was to use Ganondorf with the Metal Face sticker (makes you giant and metal at the start of the fight).
Earlier this year I've been planning on my 100% brawl after replaying subspace during the pandemic but been putting it off because of my own personal schedule and after watching this I'm inspired to really do it and hope this video gets 50k likes because I want you to finish this colossal task. Leaving a bit 🫡 to you Nathaniel because I love and respect your marathon videos

Ah yes. I do enjoy playing Classic Mode, All-Star Mode, and etc. with every single character. That brings back a lot of memories. And this isn't sarcasm. I did enjoying playing as every character. Ultimate being my favorite. Either way. Great video.
Here is my guide to the World of Light, Nathaniel. First, you need to get Donkey Kong. Then, always use the Metal Face spirit. And finally, hand clap the fighter while you are a metal giant, which will instantly KO, the fighter.
@@jumentoqueanima I agree but this guy has 100% many game series and games. All sonic games all Mario kart games all d smash bros game. Some even in an amount of time
From what I know of SSBU, you don't need to start Snake's Classic Mode at 5.0 you just need to finish with a final score of 5.0 or higher. You can't use spirits in classic mode so I would say the best way to reach 9.9 is to use characters that don't have Master Hand as the final boss or a heavy character that can hit hard and breeze through matches. Ridley's down b isn't the hardest thing in the world to land but it can be tedious on a moving opponent. Clearing the end with Ganon without getting ko'd is far easier on very easy mode but still tedious. Some spirit suggestions based on experience: Rodin, Rex, and Soma Cruz are imo the top 3 primaries to use. Rodin has insane atk power but average def, Rex has more balanced stats and trait, and Cruz doesn't have type weaknesses. When you get Medusa, upgrade her now and use her with a transform duration support like pseudo palutena and trade off atk support like Xion. Then use this combo with Ganon to destroy everything I personally find Riku and Masked Lumen to be excellent early game spirits to use until you get to the absurdly broken ones. Some good supports I like to use are: Halberd, Roxas, Wedding Peach/Great Fairy, Pneuma, any autoheal, any trade off spirits, golden mushroom, and Max Brass. 20 hits is super easy Bayonetta's jab hits 26 times

Here is my guide to the World of Light, Nathaniel. First, you need to get Donkey Kong. Then, always use the Metal Face spirit. And finally, hand clap the fighter while you are a metal giant, which will instantly KO, the fighter.
Man I love these kinds of videos, you present and make them so well and love seeing you go insane throughout the time limit
I have to say, your choice in music is beautiful. Hearing sonic heroes sound track made me happy
This dude is insane. He’s 100% multiple games wtf
Almost makes me wanna do the same honestly dude is a machine
@@Swagger_Guy Some games are fun to 100%. I've had fun with most Switch games.

Even 2d and 3d super mario, mainline Kirby games, splatoon, and Luigi’s Mansion
@@angijuan2364 that’s crazy dude
Then use this combo with Ganon to destroy everything
I personally find Riku and Masked Lumen to be excellent early game spirits to use until you get to the absurdly broken ones.
Some good supports I like to use are: Halberd, Roxas, Wedding Peach/Great Fairy, Pneuma, any autoheal, any trade off spirits, golden mushroom, and Max Brass.
20 hits is super easy Bayonetta's jab hits 26 times
Thanks for sending out the spreadsheet! It’d be kinda nice if we had access to ones from previous marathons (or maybe I just suck lol) but keep making amazing videos! But of course, stay healthy and whatnot.
Haven’t started watching yet but still major kudos to Nathaniel for having even a GLIMPSE of this challenge in his head
You know it’s a good day when Nathaniel bandy uploads a 100% vid
I honestly really liked the Duolingo segment! I think Japanese is a great fit for you mainly due to the fact that pretty much all Nintendo games are originally written in Japanese (save for a few exceptions)
Literally learnt new strats for unlocking things in Smash 3DS as it is not at all optimized thanks to this video.
You're a legend, these videos are incredibly enjoyable
YESS! The marathon I've been waiting for!
