    So many You Tube canners are sharing "tips" like using regular jars instead of canning jars! You are "by the book"-Thank you!!

    My grandmother did caning all the time but I never appreciated just how valuable this process really was or is. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever thought about doing it for people who don't have the space, or time to do it themselves? It could be a profitable business.

      I have! I’ve thought about an entire black market grocery store. 😀 I was so scared to start canning. I mean terrified. Once I got one or two sessions under my belt, I was addicted! I make everything now. Bacon, sausage, soups, stews, spaghetti sauce, ribs, chipotle beef and pork, plain beef, pork, chicken, chicken wings, drumsticks, thighs, roasts, heavy cream, bone broths, beans, etc… I’m always on the lookout for new recipes.

    That really looked beautiful in the jars. I bet it was gorgeous on the shelf. Deliciousness starts with the eyes.

    Don't apologize for your baby. He sounds adorable. Nice video thank you for the video. I have been making 14/15 bean soup for many years but I never canned it yet, I like it tomato sauce based. :)

      I'm late in finding but I LOVE tomatoe based soup. I add half canned puree tomatoes and diced tomatoes from my pantry. It's amazing with half tomatoe and half stock. Thanks so much!

    I enjoyed the fifteen bean canning procedure. I am a vegetarian and would like to make some soups. I have a Power Pressure CookerXL. Please add some other kinds of soups. Thanks

    Hi just found you!
    Your 15 bean soup looks delicious!
    Cant wait to make a batch!
    Have you ever made it with ground beef instead of ham?

    • @WelcometotheDen8
      @WelcometotheDen8  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t but that sounds really good and you could use more meat if you used ground beef so not a bad idea.

      Absolutely!! Canning is such a great way to control what we’re consuming but it’s also a great skill to learn. If you have any questions feel free to ask!!

    What a great video! I have made up my own 15 bean mix. How many bags of beans did you use for this canning session?

    • @WelcometotheDen8
      @WelcometotheDen8  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 4 bags of the 15 bean soup beans for that session. Thanks so much for watching!!

    You need to leave much more head space because the beans will absorb some of the water!

    I made bean and ham soup in a crock pot. Made a lot, so I pressure canned what I had left . Is that going to be safe because I used a lot of ham and beans in my soup. I pressure canned my pi nts for 75 minute's

    • @WelcometotheDen8
      @WelcometotheDen8  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It says only one piece of ham per jar but I think you could have some leniency in that. Always make sure your jars are sealed properly before using and cook at a boil for 10 minutes minimum before eating.

    Hi, I'm new to canning and to your channel!❤ could you tell which book you're getting your 15 bean soup from?
    Thank You

      It’s the Ball book on canning and preserving. The newest version. It’s the fourth book listed in the books list in the description. Thanks for watching!! Happy canning!!!
