Visit Scandinavia and go to the fir/pine forests we have. You'll instantly be able to feel the same atmousphere as the black forest (Without the huge copper deposits). The game NAILS the feeling of being in an Fir/pine forest and hits me right in my childhood since my kindergarden would often go on forest walks. Also, they added an option to servers so you can teleport ore/ingots through portals. So, you no longer need mods for that, its an option now.

The building is good, the open ocean sailing is phenomenal. The biomes and atmosphere is really good too.
Other than that, i really dont like this game. And i wanted to like it.
I'm the same way. First, the game is too grindy. Second, it's far too punishing when you die. Third, parrying is so useful that it makes heavy shields feel inferior. Plus heavy armor slows and tires you so much... The devs clearly intended light armor and shield to be the way to play. It's a frustrating slog that I was really excited to play.
@@zek62482lmao The only punishment when you die is you lose some stats. That’s hardly punishing at all. Sounds like a skill issue.

don't bother with raft. there's no substance in it. its literally just floating around picking plastic out of the ocean.@@dumbwaystokai
they could definitely use some QoL in crafting menus such as a search bar or even a category/filter type search...my only issue with valheim tbh
10:00 this isn't true..you don't need to kill a boss multiple times unless you're doing the 2nd or 3rd boss so multiple people can have keys or wishbones..eikthyr too i guess for pickaxes?

I loved it myself, played lots, but it becomes a tedious chore with a lot of limitations for no reason. Losing stamina ultra fast at water. Can't carry items through portal. Super limited inventory space/chest space. No dedicated armor/weapon slots (really devs?). HP/Stamina no matter if you Lv1 or 100, it stays the same, unless you eating 24/7. Archery is beyond broken. Can't sell items to Dwarf vendor. Sailing wind it's really PITA. And i can keep writing more and more. Plus not a single good update for long time. At least some QoL for god's sake. 7 Days to Die i think it's a lot better game, even if it still 10 years into EA zone.

Yeahh.....I thought you were saying conan was the worst....then I watched it and was like, oh wow he loves the game. I was gonna slightly agree conan wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst but again, the title's ? is very important.

I love survival games and have played many of them, and for me Valheim is by far one of the most boring and uninteresting games I have played.
I find the game very bland and monotonous.
The map and its biomes are bland, exploration and not very interesting with a lot of filling, recycling, little content, surprises, diversity etc.
The map is filled almost exclusively with mobs (almost only combat to be had in this game...) and POIs that are recycled and not interesting, even the procedural changes almost nothing, the environmental threats are very weak.
The construction system offers a lot of possibilities and with terraforming there is a way to make great buildings, but the problem is that the system is not very ergonomic.
The structure of the game is also not very original and captivating. You discover a biome, you farm a lot (too much), you change equipment, and you face a boss, and you repeat that, it's the most basic thing possible.
Also, music is WAY too repetitive...
In short, apart from the construction I don't see any aspect that is particularly interesting.
And when we see that a game like Enshrouded is already doing better imo, even though it hasn't been in EA for long...
To each his own of course, but personnally I really don't understand all this hype with this game.
I don't say is a really bad game, but imo it's really far to be great or excellent, it's very average

Also if you’re looking for one I didn’t enjoy when I played it, I nominate Hurtworld.
Its a provocative title, like Josh Hayes "Worst mmo", its not always a bad MMO, but the title is provocative that makes people click to see if th game is actually "the worst".

Ita been a long time aince i tried valheim, and lota changed since then, but considering howuch i LOVE Enshrouded (heavier on the action rpg elements rather than survival), im seriously contemplating picking up valheim again.
Even if i cant play a wizard.😅
I’ve been playing a lot of enshrouded recently, I can see inspiration they’ve taken from some of valheims mechanics plus many other great mechanics from other games. Bringing it all together and making a pretty great survival game, thoroughly enjoying enshrouded atm
Magic was incorporated once you reach the mistlands which is the 6th biome so it is a bit of a grind but its there lol
The hunger mechanics of this game alone are best Ive seen in any survival game

do you know the struggle of not washing your hands and getting a stomach virus? catching the flue because you wore your mask to long? not being able to get your hunger up because you're sick and keep vomiting resulting in death by dehydration? yah... day z life. wash your hands.
And yet it doesn't really capture what a survival game should be, so for me also contrary it's really not desirable, I think that people who want that want to play an action/adventure more than a survival game

Just a heads up that Valheim is currently on sale. As someone who's sank 1,500+ hours into this game I can safely say it'll be money well spent.

I felt bad about the deforestation too (stupid I know) until I learned that I could re-plant the trees and they would grow quickly enough to give me the wood I need. Then I just started a tree farm.

This game is total waste of time. Not fun to play, tons of bugs and glitches. It was made when? 2021, and its still broken.
And its also very iritating. Even if you are top tier, the gaydwarves in meadows will attack you even if they dont have a chance to kill you. Its anoying. Deinetly not worth playing.
And its not survival at all. There is no water management, food is almost everywhere. There is no survival, just grinding and colecting resources and killing the same mobs over and over and over. Building is hard, but fun. You can create a lot of interesting structures. But again - when u try to build, the mobs will attack you and annoy you. The best par is when you need to get roof done and when spawn and start destroy you base, because they cant reach you.
For everyone who want to play this - do something with your life.

Bro i cant get past making roofing. Im so bad at it. Building is so hard in yhis game to me. And im not a bad builder at least i thought i wasnt

Some nice looking scenery and npcs but the game is still unfinished. Basic movement stuff that makes it unplayable for a modern audience. Think about witcher 1 that sort of jankiness. Its also just boring.
