I dont hate this game, at least not as much as I hate its developers and publisher. This game is home to one of my favorite RP servers Darkside RP, which does its damn best to fix most of the problems present in Atlas. Darkside has been around since the games release and has been one of the few reasons the game has any players left to begin with, sadly this is will likely be the last anyone hears of Darkside RP in Atlas as Grapeshot/Snail Games have constantly undermined the efforts of the Darkside team by breaking modded content with each update, shoehorning in broken and unwanted mechanics that don't work properly, some of which were stolen from Darksides developers a good while ago, and most recently removing voip for an unkown reason and confirming they will not be adding it back in. The shenanigans of Grapeshot/Snail have plucked every nerve of the Darkside Team and the lead dev Venalis went into a good portion of this on a live stream a few months ago. Its sad to see a community that gets completely undermined and consistently fucked in the ass by the games owners like this.
to expect anything less from snails is of course laughable. it's easy to see why they call themselves snail games due to them leaving slimy trails of shite in there wake 😜
Well, I've never seen a game use vitamin C poisoning as a mechanic before. I'm not even sure if I've seen one use scurvy as a mechanic, actually. What a strange way to set things up.
I honestly have some really fond memories from this game lol, when it worked, it was a fun time. I also really love the music, but it is literally impossible to find more than like 4 tracks online :/
I played this game on release with my old WoW guild; it's a reasonably decent game and engine. What killed it for us was... well, Asians. See, we played on PVP servers. PVP servers based in US locations, mind you. And we were fine with PVP. What we were NOT fine with was the absolute horde of Asian-timezone players that would show up every night and absolutely demolish your entire outpost and any ships you'd spent the entire day building. Try to stay up and fight them off? They used tiny models and were somehow able to score headshots on players in enclosed spaces from distances that literally wouldn't render for some of us. I did enjoy running around with an entire hotbar of loaded pistols so that I could rapid fire unload on some unsuspecting fools, though.
I play this game from time to time still, and I had no idea the servers had so many issues. But I only play offline, which works fairly well, But it is missing a lot of update content because Grapeshot only cares about online. Which seems to be working out well, lol.

The game is buggy but its not as bad as this vid makes it out to be.. i means it pretty unactive at the moment but i havent had random crashed in ages... My only assumption to the crashed i that the servers your joining are just poorly setup or have random mods that mess with the game... Other then that.. totally agree with the game having no activety in servers.. i mean, they have no activety in the updates either.. Probably becuase ark 2 is just arround the corner

Atlas was a great game. It was abandoned by the devs is all😢. You don't need a tutorial for this. If you have any experience with Ark, it's sibling, then this is a cake walk. Many have wonderful memories from before the abandoning. Just seems a bit much when you don't seem to have experience playing games like this.
no, it really wasn't. if you play ark you will see where most of its program and assets was copied and pasted from, not only that it was copied and pasted from the older code. what snail should have done is actually paid wild card to make this game THEN it could have been good. to defend a game that has literally been abandoned by the players as well as the devs is ridiculous to say the least 😏 i would agree the idea was good but snail are not a good company by a long way, a shame really but there it is. 😉

do you work for or have affiliations with snail games at all ? or a lack of gaming experience ? try playing ark survival and then looking into older versions of ark and then see what crap snail games put together to make this shit show of a game. they even went out of their way to prevent modders from improving this old code ark copy. the game idea is actually good but the implementation is nothing short of lazy and piss poor at best. 😏
