Your money your choice. You don't have to justify it to anybody. It works for you enjoy it!
It is the best looking of the kayak alternative skiffs. Might see if Dragon fly would let you run one of their Marsh Hens with the wheel option to get past the really skinny areas it the deeper holes.
I'm just glad you got her. You've certainly been able to create and provide us some fantastic and "FUN" videos using it. Time with your son will never be replaced. Totally get it. It's perfect really except for configuration issues with the engine mount and platform. Storage these days is a real issue. Very few locations allow home owners to have boats sitting out side in the yard, Storage options are expensive. I must bring my Kayak indoors and actually have it in my garage which acts as a man cave with carpet and finished walls. I'm interested to see how things play out with this and your latest acquisition. I bet you can or already have overcome the big issues you were having. The in_hull tank is a real plus. I think it would be comfortable fishing it with the center console. My legs prevent me from using the platform but I'd love having that seating down low. I'm actually thinking of you in the Blue Skiff these days rather than the Kayak. For us out here what you bring to us is allowing us to do the things we'll never get the chance to do. Thanks and thanks again. . She is the exact same color as my first car when I was 18. That was a 63 Sport Fury convertible.

I recommend you get a keel guard for that if you are scrapping up against corals.

What's it cost rigged with the trolling motor? Does 14k include the mercury? If they could make it 54' wide it would probably make way more stable and possibly decrease the draft

Its a great looking ride and looks to do pretty well but if you decide you want the aluminum version, should check out the MircoX skiff by Xtreme Boats. Lengths 1345-1645 picked up mine with ipilot and elite ti2 7'' for 14k and my second one loaded out to the max for 19k.

@@texascoastalliving well a surface drive uses an air cooled motor and can run extremely shallow! Check out mudskipper surface drive? Just curious how you think it would work! I'm running a 12ft v bottom with a 6.5 longtail and I love that thing!

Looks crap. Buy a real classic skiff, the Salter 14ft. A dream to row and built like a tank, since 1854.
No one should ever own a "solo skiff" brand boat. They are absolutely junk
14,000 for a boat you are crazy but its your money all the place you go I can go in my john boat
