My experience is that you made a good choice with going with the seadek. It does help a lot with the noise but also with fatigue when fishing all day. Nice little boat Mark.

I have owned a number of boats over the years and watched people buy all kinds of equipment and gadgets they didn't need. Best advice I can give is to get the state/coastguard required stuff first. Then get used the boat, experience will determine what you you need. This is a big step up from a kayak, I know I fish out of a Outback, but room and added weight is still a major concern. Take your time, it will pay off in the long run.

If I ever lived on the coast I'd probably be looking at a square back canoe to turn into a micro skiff...but then again my little 16 ft aluminum bass boat with the 40hp is probably all I'd need too. Great to have options, paddle or power. The skiff is very nice!
Man, she is very nice 👍 Great quality in her build. If I were the designer, I would have moved the aft platform closer to the helm and put a livewell under the companies round logo in it's center area. And a steering wheel on the console. There is enough room for both the steering wheel, and the locator of your choice! At my age I surely don't need to be standing up on any kind of platform just to pole or sight cast! 😝 All in all, a very nice little skiff! 👍 Congrats on getting her!

Make sure you join some Facebook groups, especially the boat fails groups. When I went from a Hobie to a used ‘99 19’ Shoalwater Stealth, I learned so much just from those pages. You’ll see recommendations for transform savers, lots people say to not attach anything to the trailer. Good luck!

This skiff is on my radar I live in Tampa Iam sure they make something you put under the engine lift the engine and should be able to put a motor tot or with the bracket so you won’t have to use the trailer great video thanks for showing us
The transom savers have holes on the edges of each side that cradle the motor. I used a small bungee around the motor to hold it in place during trips. It worked fine.
Very nice. Looks high quality to me. All the videos about it show high speed cruising and hardly holding on, but none show it hitting a boat wake. My 13 foot Boston Whaler Sport will go airborne if I’m going over 20 knots.
Congratulations on the new Skiff you might want to buy some trailer guides for your boat it helps you keep the boat on the trailer during windy days you can buy them at Academy for about 75 bucks
Just to let you know, you can put a short piece of two by four parallel with the transom held in place under the motor bracket with a bungee cord as an option. A little tip from cajun land in Louisiana. Good Luck!
Super nice. Whatever you do, pay the extra money for non-ethanol gas for your motor! The gas with ethanol will break down, attract moisture and gum up your carb before you know it.

So youre thinking maybe a 6 or more feet in space between the ground and the skiff its self? Im more of a kayak/shore fisher so im new to the boat/skiff world sorry for the questions. You seemed like the best person to ask rather the salesmen them selfs.

Funny I was looking at the 19 Cat but when I called them I was shrugged off. So I continued my search and eventually found the HSkiff 13.

also if you keep the motor vertical and tilt locked it wont bounce around. notice none of the flats boats use transom savers.
