This is super helpful for me! I’ve been identifying as nonbinary for years but have found myself wanting to start hormones and possibly microdosing. I hope you make more videos about the topic!
I’m glad it was helpful! There are a ton of articles and resources online about microdosing and I’m so glad it’s a possibility. I can totally make more videos in the future about hormones. Thank you! :)
I am 50 years older than you, just acknowledging my androgeny and non-binaryness. I so admire your courage to be who you are. Thank you for your advocacy. ❤ Jessie
That's awesome! I love meeting older non-binary people. I wish there was more representation of non-binary people like you; it would have helped when I was young and feeling alone.

Thank you for the video and information! I came out and lived as transmasc as a kid/teen (10-15 years ago!), had to go back in the closet for survival, but and am finally going to PP for a consultation for T today! I'm hoping to start on a low or micro dose and am nervous I'll get turned away... Will see how it goes!thank you for sharing your experience and information, it's invaluable for everyone exploring their options
Thanks for the comment!! It is really cool to hear from voices like yours. I hope the appointment went well, and I would love to hear more from you if you want to share your experience!
@@wolfibird So I got to take my first shot a few days ago, and it went super well! Planned Parenthood was a fantastic provider, they are very much operating in the 'informed consent' model (basically, if you come and ask for care, they provide it no questions asked really) and the clinician was knowledgeable on non-binary transition options and low dose T options. I live in a very queer town, so wasn't too surprised, but it was really nice to be able to talk openly about my ideas/goals. It was super expensive ($250 for apt + labs, and $30 for 3 months of T), but luckily after the first year the cost will go down a lot (don't have to get labs done as often). I feel really great about the decision and experience so far. I think my partners, family, and I all had a lot of misconceptions about what starting T would be like. Particularly, there was this intense fear of irritability or extremely high libido. Maybe that could be the case with higher doses, but mostly I've just felt more "solid" mentally the past few days. Obviously other sensory/physical changes that are a little sensitive to talk about here lol, but in the emotional realm, I was pretty surprised that it affected me so mildly and am really happy with the change. The emotional effects were what I was mainly curious about - I always wondered if I'd feel more "me" internally/mentally. I have a ways to go before I have a more solid idea of if it's right for me, but so far I'm super happy with how I feel :) Maybe I'll make some videos about it too someday. Watching folks on TH-cam throughout my life has been so informative and is so important. So thanks again for sharing!
Sure! I guess it is a bit hard to understand by looking at me cuz I am a non binary person who transitioned to basically look like the opposite sex. Thanks or the video idea!
I can't tell if it was due to growing up or t but my hair went from being mostly wavy/straight when short to very curly. It was pretty curly during 2020 before I cut it, but while being on T my hair got even curlier. This happened to my bf too.
I'm 18 and nonbinary and also really want to start t, have to do more research on if i want to do microdose or not but I was wondering if you experienced any differences in mood like increased anxiety or anger? Or how has that personally been for u?
Hi! My anxiety went down after starting T because most of it surrounded my body and how people saw me, and now I am much more confident and less anxious about most things. However, I also had almost 2 years of therapy for that. I don't think I have been any angrier? I have never been an angry person, and I only get frustrated at things every so often, but never angry. If you already struggle with some anger, it might get worse with T, but I don't know much about that. The only changes to my emotions have been that I've been so much happier, more energetic, and confident, so all good things :) It's different for everyone, but it seems pretty similar that everyone feels a lot better once dysphoria goes down. Good luck figuring stuff out! The best advice I can give is to keep doing research, listening to others' experiences, and reach out to a doctor when you're ready to know more. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi! I can’t give you an exact “guide” because everyone is in a different situation but this was the order I did things. Don’t feel like any of this is necessary for you. Your transition is your own. 1. Hair cut 2. Bought men’s clothing 3. Came out slowly to friends first then family. Chose a different name and started telling people I wanted to be referred to with they them pronouns. 4. Got a binder 5. Got my name changed at school Then a few years later -> 6. Started hormone blockers 7. Started low dose testosterone 8. Got my name and gender legally changed 9. Got new passport, birth certificate, and social security 10. Top surgery And now I’m here and I feel done with my transition :) it’s a long process but I am so happy I got to go through it.
@@wolfibird As somebody who is in the beginning ish stages of transition maybe videos on style and outfit ideas/how to look more masculine, or a daily routine like how you do your hair or like hobbies you enjoy.
