    QUICK NOTE: Although the torque for the wheel nuts is 65ft-lbs, this is far too low! I recommend between 80-100ft-lbs instead.

    What size is that long knuckle bolt? I just got my 1st subaru and am wanting to replace it with a stainless version when I start tearing out all the old and installing all the new :-)

      Like the length and thread size? That I have no idea on. I would suggest waiting on getting the new bolts after you take the old ones out if you can and bring them to the hardware store with you.

    Would the end links have fit if lowered? The only reason i can think that they might not be compatible is if you had to use the end links.

      The arms are designed for lower applications. I swapped the left and right arms so I could have the end link brackets facing up.

    I’m dealing with this at this moment lol. What Ratchet did you use at the 3:00 minute mark I need something that can handle that much breaking power. Thank you!!

      I don't really remember the brand of it as I borrowed it from a friend, but I think any tilt head style ratchet should work, it just needs to be thin enough to make it in between the bolt head and the axle. You could probably also get it with a wrench and a pipe too.

    I clicked the link and I put my forester in and it's saying it won't fit. But I just watched you install it. Do I just ignore whiteline?

      @TheCreateOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, I know what's going on there. If you have a second gen Forester (03-08), it shows a different kit for it that only includes the rear arms, but that's not enough for full flexibility in the alignment.
      You have to buy the first gen (97-02) arms instead, which I linked to. They are compatible since it's the same suspension between generations. I emailed Whiteline awhile back but they never got back to me.
      So in short, yes, just ignore Whiteline.

    I hear lots of guys say, "Torque the lug nuts to 65 foot-pounds" but my 2014 Forester docs say go with either 79 (steel wheels) or 89 (aluminum). Am I being misguided?

    • @TheCreateOutdoors
      @TheCreateOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, I agree with you it should be around 80. I don’t understand why 65 is okay, that is far too low.

    What is the purpose of "lifting" a vehicle, other than cosmetics?

    • @TheCreateOutdoors
      @TheCreateOutdoors  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The purpose of lifting a vehicle for offroading or overlanding is to allow for more ground clearance over obstacles on trails. Lifts are not intended as a cosmetic mod usually, even though it is a side effect of installing a lift kit.
