  • Last winter I installed an Airlift Performance suspension setup in my 2002 WRX, but that left the rest of the suspension lacking with old 22 year old bushings and parts.
So in this episode Ill be installing:
    - Mooresport 1" Lowered Correction Trailing Arms
    - Whiteline Forward & Rearward Trailing Arm Bushings
    - Whiteline Rear Subframe Lockdown Bolts
    - Powerflex Differential Outrigger Bushings
    - STI Group N Rear Differential "Dogbone" Mount
as well was giving the rear differential outrigger frame and rear subframe a good refresh.
IMPORTANT NOTE - I mistakenly installed the Powerflex bushings backwards. Watch the proper installation here:

I have a profound love for these cars and respect those going the extra miles to restore and preserve these epic rally cars.

Because these cars haven't gotten the resto treatment much on youtube, I plan on doing an entire series on my 05 Wrx as soon as I can.

At approx 33:30 you're talking about which bushing goes on which side and you say that the taller bushing should go on the driver side. I am doing a 2004 resto project with these same bushings but the packaging from powerflex says that the taller is the RH side (passenger). The RH side also has a mounting bracket with a curve in it for the RH side suggesting that bushing should be taller. Just looking for any insight on your end because it's damn near impossible to figure out which way these bushings are supposed to go

Good look man! I must have gotten mixed up somewhere along the way. I just double checked Powerflex's site ... and yea the thicker bushing is the top bushing for the right hand side.
I'll have to swap em around when I get some time.
Thanks again for pointing it out!
