- ශ්‍රී දළදා වහන්සේ ආරක්ෂා කිරීම සඳහා විශේෂ ක්‍රම භාවිතා කරපු දඹදෙණියේ මලිගාගල ගැන ඔයාල අහල තියනවද ? අද අපි ඔයාලව අරගෙන යන්නෙ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ 3 වන රාජධානිය වන දඹදෙණියේ පිහිටි මාලිගගල බලන්න. මේ video එකේ දෙවන කොටසින් අපි ඔයාලව එක්කන් යන්නෙ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අදටත් පවතින නටඹුන් නොවූ පැරණි දළදා මාලිගාව බලන්න.
දඹදෙණිය පිහිටා ඇත්තේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වයඹ පළාතේ කුරුණෑගල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයෙ. මෙම මලිගාගල මුදුනේ බලකොටුව සහ මාලිගාව ඉදිකර ඇත්තේ එවකට දඹදෙණිය අගනුවර වශයෙන් තෝරාගත් ක්‍රි . ව 1232 ත් 1236 ත් අතර කාලය තුල රජකම් කල 3 වන විජයබාහු රජු විසිනි. පොළොන්නරු යුගයේ ඇතිවූ ආක්‍රමණ වල ප්‍රතිපලයක් විදිහට දඹදෙණි යුගය ආරම්භ වී ඇති බව ඉතිහාසයේ සඳහන් වෙනව.
මෙම මලිගාගල විශේය වන්නේ මෙහි ආරක්ෂාවට තිබු විශේෂ ඉදිකිරීම් සහ එහි පිහිටීම නිසාය. අතීතයේදී මෙහි ශක්තිමත් ගල් පවුරු සහ වගුරු බිම් වලින් මෙයට ආරක්ෂාවක් ලැබී ඇතිබව සැලකෙනව. අදටත් එම ගල් පවුරු වල නටඹුන් ඔයාලට දැකගන්න පුළුවන්.
මෙහි ඉහලට ගමන් කරන ඔයාලට ගල් පඩි රාශියක් නගින්න වෙනව. ඒ උනාට වනය මැදින් ගමන් කරන නිසා වෙහෙස තරමක් අඩු වෙනව.
මාලිගා ගල නගින ඔයාලට එක් විශේෂ ස්ථානයක් දකින්න ලැබෙනව. ඒ තමයි ගල් උගුල නමින් හඳුන්වන ස්ථානය. මෙහි විශේෂත්වය වන්නේ මෙම ගල් පඩිපෙලේ එක් ස්ථානයක් පටුව තිබීමයි. එය පැමිණෙන සතුරු හමුදාවට බදකයක් ලෙස යොදාගෙන තියෙනවා. එහිදී ඉහළ සිට ප්‍රහාර එල්ලකර ඇතිබවද සඳහන් වෙනව.
දඹදෙණිය මාලිගා ගල නගින ඔයාලට ඉස්සෙල්ලම දකින්න හම්බවෙන්නෙ "රජ සභා මණ්ඩපයයි". මෙය මහල් 3ක ගොඩනැගිල්ලක් ලෙස සඳහන් වෙනව. ඔයාලට මේ ගලේ පේන කුහර එකල ගොඩනැගිල්ලේ ලී කණු තිබූ ස්ථාන ලෙස දැක්වෙනව.
ඊළඟට ඔයාලට දකින්න ලැබෙන්නෙ රජ මාලිගාව පිහිටා තිබූ ස්ථානයයි. ඒ වගේම තිරිවානා ගල් අතුරා තිබූ මෙහි විශාල මැදමිදුලක්ද දකින්න පුළුවන්.

Dambadeniya is located in the Kurunegala District of the North West Province of Sri Lanka. The fort and the palace were built on the top of "Maliga gala" when Dambadeniya was chosen as the capital. By King Vijayabahu III who reigned between 1232 and 1236 AD. It is mentioned in history that the Dambadeni era started as a result of the invasions of the Polonnaru era.
"Maligagala" is special because of its special construction and its location. It is believed to have been protected by strong rock walls and swamps in the past. Even today you can see the ruins of those stone walls.
Those who travel up here have to climb many stone steps. However, the fatigue is slightly reduced as you walk through the forest.
Climbing the Maliga gala, you will see a special place. That is the place called Stone Trap. The special feature of this stone staircase is that one place is narrow. It has been used as a bait for the incoming enemy army. It is also mentioned that there have been attacks from above.
The first thing you will see when climbing the Dambadeniya Maliga gala is the "Raja Sabha Mandapaya". This is mentioned as a 3-storey building. The holes you see in this stone are the places where the wooden posts of the building were at that time.
Next, you will see the place where the royal palace was located. You can also see a large courtyard here, paved with Thirivana stones.
