2 pcs of standard LEDs (3.3V/0.04A) instead 1W LED (3.3V/0.3A) = excellent. How many seconds it worked? Buy complete set of LED strips at Ebay or ali (about 25-30$ for all set) - it is only correct solution.
The dip replacement leds always need the diffuser lens otherwise they will appear as white spots on the picture. Also you can remove the bad led and solder with wires a small part of led strip with a single led taken from old one.In some cases i have replaced the burnt led with a resistor as a dummy load. There was a very little dark area hard to notice.
There was a much better way to fix this witout exposing the LED lamp to excessive he. Using a jumper LED strip about 2inches long. You can use can scrape the coating on the strip on each sie and sold a bare wire to each side. The strip gets the heat, not the LED. It's a good piggy way to do it and it works.
They sell these compatible led strip bulbs. Just copy and paste-- 2 Pack x Led Strips 3v Bulbs Diodes 32-65 inch Tv Optical Concave Lens Fliter Backlight w/ cable Double-side Tape 10pcs/pack ( aliexpress ). No need trial and error. No need to live with that dark spot, sir.
Pretty clever but I wonder how it would look if you did all of them like that. I'm sure 1 wouldn't be noticeable at all I'm sure. Probably wouldn't notice it much if you didn't even put the 2 bulbs in there but if you could replace them all that would be amazing if it worked. I have same problem with leds but not sure how many. I know I have to order the led strip but takes so long to get here but I do have some of those so I might just try this out. It's gotta be better then the other solution using a regular diode with a resistor to bypass the led. Either way ingenious idea and now I might be able to get mine working instead of waiting.
@@doityourself8314 I ended up waiting on the smd chips and replaced them using a heat gun even though you say it will reduce the life I figured it's so easy and the chips are so cheap. I just wanted to basically see if I could fix it myself. It's been working fine so far although I wish I knew of a glue that would hold the stupid reflectors on other then 2 part epoxy which is what I ended up having to use after taking apart a couple times to reinstall them lol. Superglue isn't so super lol. I don't know why but I tried 5 different name brand super glues and none would work. It's like the lensons kept them from drying or something. Very aggravating lol.
Use clear bathroom silicone sealant. Just a small dab on the end of a needle for each spot then let it set for a few hours before moving. It will hold.
So I took my Samsung 60 JS 7000 apart. It has ten rows but only bottom 6 work and the top 4 rows don’t. I switched out a working one and placed on top and the bad one at bottom. All rows lit up like a Christmas tree. I was happy only to find out that when I picked my tv to check the back the TVs top4 rows turned off again. I kinda wiggled it and they turned on again. The strips all work fine. Do you know what could be causing top 4 rows from turning off? I have no issue with the bottom 6 rows. If you can help or anyone that might has some knowledge of tv electronics it would be greatly appreciated. When this first started I would just give a bang and tv would work fine until it didn’t. Eventually not a bang to tv would work. So my thinking there is a loose wire or something might be triggering or not triggering for the lights to turn. Again any help would be great.
thank you for the tip of using the back of the strip on a soldering iron because I had been trying to use my headgun and no matter what it was a mess, and or using the soldering iron on the pos or neg side until it heated up enough that it would crack off and then do same for other side for it to slide away then clean up the contact points , yours seems much easier aha though it leaves a nasty balck mess aha

It is my belief that it is a waste of time to replace or fix the individual LED's; especially if the LED's have been burning for years. Better to purchase the LED strips and replace the whole lot. These are relative inexpensive on eBay. And VERY easy to replace all of the entire strips.
Anyone watching the last part he needs to learn to solder and use flux, pair of tweezers and buy a smaller soldering iron flux cleans the board and helps the solder to stick without it you get a mess
