Short story from Brian: „I think Freddie had more belief in me than I had. I remember once we’d have been arguing about a song and I was feeling kinda insecure about my part in it. The next day Freddie came over and said: „ I’ve got something for you, darling. I’ve got this little casette.” He had spent hours and hours at night in the studio putting together all of the solos that I’d done up in our albums to that time. He said: „Just listen to this.” And he’d made it into a continuous sort of guitar solo thing, to encourage me, but that was him. He would surprise you in all sorts of ways.”
This is a beautiful comment - thank you for sharing it with us. It shows the deep respect and affection Freddie had for Brian and, in the many interviews I've heard, Brian honors Freddie not only for his musicianship, but - more importantly -for his character. Thanks again.
Sadly Brian can't find that tape now ... Also Freddie wrote a song Soul Brother for Brian (incomponated a lot of names of songs written by Brian into lyrics). ❤ 👑 were like a close family of 4 brothers. If you know their zodiac (Freddie draw a Queen crest representing all 4) Brian = Cancer, Roger and John = Leo, Freddie = Virgo 😅😮😮😅 then it is normal that they had a great share of fighting (in most cases over a trivial things) but they were all educated to a high level and they all had a big heart and they lived, breathed and dreamed music. They cared for each other. When Freddie got ill they protected him like lions, they made a safe blanket around him, doing everything they could to protect him and make him safe from savage press, they hide information they lied ... and they succeeded to make him a peaceful environment in Montreux recording studio so he could do what he loved most = music. On those final days at the studio Freddie asked Brian to write him anything and Brian, scrambled lines of Mother Love to pieces of paper so Freddie could sing them...❤💔😢
The US was not particularly fond of Queen. The gay connections bothered the US. Freddie didn't officially say he was gay, but at their live performances he didn't make any secret of it. Rolling Stone's lists are always pretty much a joke.
The meaning of the song was effectively settled when guitarist Brian May wrote on his website that “Hammer to Fall is really about life and death, and being aware of death as being part of life”, and that “the Hammer coming down is only a symbol of the Grim Reaper doing his job!” Yes, Wembley was packed with 72,000+ on both nights of the Queen Magic tour. Freddie preferred being able to move about on stage while he sang. so the band found ways to creatively release him from the shackles of the piano. For example, while performing the ballad "Save Me", Brian would play the piano (with his guitar in his lap) during the first part of the song and then Freddie would take over the piano duties when Brian began his guitar solo. In 1984, beginning with "The Works" tour, Queen hired Spike Edney to accompany them mostly on keyboards (his main instrument), plus some rhythm guitar and backing vocals. In 2020, _Total Guitar_ readers voted Sir Dr. Brian May the top guitar player of all time. This last list from Rolling Stone (derided by hundreds of guitar enthusiasts and players) put May at 33. Not the ranking many would give, but much better than some guitarists did who didn't even make the list. Spike is a dream in the touring band world. He is on tour right now with Queen... 71 years old! The septarians rule the Queen Rhapsody Tour! As usual, your reaction was fantastic. Your obvious enjoyment for Queen feeds this Queenie's soul! You both are amazing. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant reaction! I love the way they improvise around the main song. No performance of any individual song is ever the same. The guy in the pink shirt is Spike Edney. They hired him in 1984, to free Freddie from his static position at the piano, and give him more freedom to run around the stage, and interact with the audience. Over the two years he worked live with them back then, he also filled in with extra guitar and backing vocals as required. You might have noticed him playing piano during Live Aid. Queen isn't the only band he worked with. He was like the travelling 'extra' who was called upon by some of the bigger bands when extra power was needed! As far as I know, right now, he's touring the US with the current Queen line-up.
Spike Edney was originally member of Irish band Boomtown Rats (Bob Geldof who is known as Live Aid organiser was lead singer in this band). Their biggest hit which you probably know was "I don't like Mondays"
I never understood why this song didn't get more attention. It has always been one of my favourites. Love the line "lock your door because rain is falling through your window pane"
Yes, you got the unofficial fifth member right, Freddie loved his keyboard skills and as some songs had more than one layer of instruments he was called on this last tour to provide support, he was also presented here in Brazil with a pink jumpsuit . Please check out It's hard life at Rock in Rio. Regarding the Rolling Stones, she always stays one step behind Queen...
It was Fred Mandel on the road w/Queen in 1982 . . .former keyboardist with Mott The Hoople who Freddie teased about the pink jumpsuit, long before Spike began the touring spot, on the road w/Queen playing keyboards and rhythm guitar...now also leads, or did lead his own band the SAS Band.
I was also at the gig, unfortunately to be the last time I saw queen live, I bought the sheer heart attack album in 1974 and was hooked, I would love you guys to do reaction to some of the album songs , to name a few 1 ) good old fashioned lovers boy. 2) the millionaire waltz. 3) seaside rendezvous. Those are all different from what you think of as queen songs, finally keep the reactions coming I love the reaction and honest reviews especially queen as their music has been the soundtrack of my life .
When the band members found out how sick Freddie was they were all off doing their own thing. But when they knew Freddie needed them, as Brian put it, "We came together, and we closed ranks."
Cannot improve on the comments, but did want to point out that Brian only added want was needed and then handed it back to Freddie. He never tried to show off his shredding skills or upstage the others. His solos have been evaluated by many critics and musicians and the best one is IMO the guitar is singing the lyrics! Love your channel!
I love this song. Brian rips it. Written by Brian and Freddie really nails the vocals. Roger and John really do a great job filling out the back end. John looks great in those yellow shorts, he has some fine looking legs! Personally I think that the most current Rolling Stone list of best guitar players missed the mark on so many and omitted so many that definitely should have been on it. I don't know who made up the list but they need to up their game because this time, Rolling Stone got it very wrong. That is Spike Edney on the second guitar. He is a multi-instrumentalist often called the 5th member of Queen. He usually is playing piano when Freddie needs to be up front but also plays other instruments for the band but not usually in the main part of the stage. He still plays with Queen + Adam Lambert and also played on Roger Taylor's most recent solo tour. Thank you both for a wonderful reaction.
Yes, that was Spike Edney , the keyboard player... the next song is Crazy little thing called love and you can see Spike rocking that piano.... This was a great reaction, Thanks!
Brian has been ranked number 1 of all time twice. Once in 2020 in Total Guitar mag and in 2023 in Guitar World. Freddie has been voted best Frontman a few times over the decades. Even some of his peers have publicly stated he's the best including Axl Rose nonetheless.
I know I am late on this Party: We all know Brian play with a six Pence coin , and because of this he hold his Pick very soft and drops quite a lot during a Gig , he can play all the songs also with his fingers not many can do it , and it is a seamless transition.
Another one favorite from my favorite reaction channel! The melody that carries on the punches the cohesiveness of it. Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. Yes, they used to fight on the road to perfection every day, but the driving vision was always there. One day in his 20 Freddie was sitting in a coffee shop in London sipping tea thinking about something. He got up suddenly and declared loudly “One day I am going to be a star!” then he headed to the door, but he turned around and said “No! One day I am going to be a legend!” and then walked out. I assume the customers thought that that guy who walked out had a screw loose. Little that they knew. Queen is royalty!
Wembley was an amazing show. Nobody knew it was the last time they'd play live together. One just never knows. By the way, Coach, you get that Betty Boop shirt, I'll give you $5. Throw in the shorts, I'll make it $20. Love you guys!
Spike Edney came in about 1985 as keyboard player and another guitarist when needed. He was previously with The Boomtown Rats. Queen are touring now and will be touring in Japan in 2024. And Spike is still playing keyboards for them.
Thanks again Mr. and Mrs. C. for yet another fabulous reaction to our favorite band... yes, Sir Dr. Brian May may be underrated, but when you have the likes of Jeff Beck as neighbors, what can you expect... they were good friends, along with Toni Iommi (Black Sabbath)... someday you could react to the entire Tribute Concert for Freddie in 1992 Wembley... absolutely whirlwind performances including Elton John and Axl Rose singing together (talk about "historical" -- the look on Roger's face is absolutely priceless!!)... blessings.
Queen poured their heart and soul into recording albums - as they progressed, the quality of the recordings improved massively. In the future, you could react to all the recordings - Freddie’s voice, Brian’s playing and especially John’s bass playing really shine through! PS - Rolling Stone always sneered at Queen for a variety of reasons. I think being massively successful was seen as a real sin!
I just want to say one thing about Spike Edney -- He is the _quintessential_ touring musician. A great example of this is at the Tayor Hawkins Tribute Concert where instead of the full touring band of Queen + Adam Lambert it was Roger, Brian, and Spike along with the Foo Fighters and members of other bands such as the Darkness (including Rufus Tiger Taylor, Roger's son). But Spike is at stage right, in the shadows, even when "Somebody to Love" starts, and they film his _hands_ from _behind._ This is a man that's been a part of Brian's musical life longer than _Freddie_ was and it's like he's _built_ to be humble. So to see him out in front at this concert and other concerts on this tour just warms my heart. A better performance of this was the Friday show, but although I know Queen has it on their channel, I don't know if the audio is any better. Someone did a rip of this very performance _and_ the audio from Live Magic (which was recorded from the board at this very concert), that's another one... but I do think you got the essence of this performance well. (Having said that, maybe see if you can find the Queen + Adam Lambert version of this song from Live Around The World, from Fire Fight Australia in February of 2020 just before COVID smacked us in the head. Just for contrast.)
I know your not a ballad fan coach but your lovely lady is...however the song 'you take my breath away' is so powerful and sends a loving message that just makes you feel like the world can be great...yes I've seen a good few of your videos
I love watching your reactions to queen the greatest band of all Time ( my opinion ) and I’m 38 … you mentioned some great guitarist if you get chance ..Santana, smooth , bb king thrill is gone and slash god father theme live in Tokyo would be some greats to react to …… queen rock in Rio love of my life now that’s an experience … keep up the great reactions Thankyou from the uk 🇬🇧
As for past critics ratings, Queen were a Fan Favorite band, not necessarily a critics choice! They were overlooked for many awards, but man could they fill a stadium to overflowing everytime! Go figure.
@@CoachCastTV Rolling Stones top 200 greatest singers had Freddie Mercury at top 14. Pretty high in the grand scheme of things, but this is Freddie, LOL. He should be atleast within the Top 10. And the fact that they had John Lennon higher (Top 12) is so wack considering that he's not even the best singer in the Beatles. And lets not even forget them putting Michael Jackson at Top 86....
Absolutely brilliant song live! Always preferred the faster tempo from their live aid performance! Remember you loving Radio Gaga from live aid too! That is written by Roger! Highly recommend Radio Gaga live Wembley '86 on Saturday! Awesome live performance Still in anticipation of a kind of magic live Wembley '86 on Saturday too! Johns bass solo and brians solo give me goosebumps every time i feel like im there and thats from somebody who was born in '94! Haha Awesome video you two! Really love your queen reactions! Keep them coming! 👍👌🔥😎
7:52 TLDR: Spike Edney, Sometimes played keyboard and guitar with Queen live That is Spike Edney he played with Queen in some of their concerts in the mid-80's. He would play keyboard and piano sometimes guitar as you can see in this performance mainly because those are the instruments Freddie would have played so Freddie would be limited to how much he could run around on the stage and interract with the crowd
Rolling stone magazine is crap. They never liked queen. Thats the reason brian was so low listed. Spike edney supported queen since 1984 til today in the live concerts with Keyboards and guitars
The United States has never really been a friend of Queen. Nor has Rolling Stone Magazine. Queen stopped coming to the United States in 1982. For various reasons.
I love this song!! It regained popularity when it was featured in the popular series Stranger Things Season Two: The Spy. My favorite live version is Queen’s performance at Live Aid 1985. Brian commented that the lyrics are kinda “tongue-in-cheek”, literally about The Grimm Reapers Death Hammer! Rich or poor, death comes to us all.
@debramoore7513. No it is not The grimm Reapers death Hammer, it is a theme from the Cold War era about a nuclear war, I don't know why English mother tongue speakers get it wrong, even DR. Brian May talked about the danger of a total nuclear war ,that is the song about. We are waiting for the Hammer to fall. what literally means if the Hammer falls it is over. It is also a therm used in construction work , The hammer falls we are finished from todays work. someone wood say drop the hammer we going home.
Yes that was Spike who still works with the group and also on their separate careers. It's actually Dr Sir the profession always comes before the title which in this case was awarded by our new King, and it's Sir Brian who wrote this song, Wembley Stadium ( the old one) could hold 80,000 including everyone in the hospitality boxes, restaurants etc, as you'll often see 72,000 that's just the pitch and stands, I worked at various locations around the UK including this one as I'm in hospitality so know the numbers including other parts. John had Hilda Ogden on his T-shirt this will mean nothing too yourselves, however she was a character in Coronation Street, and he wrote I Want To Break Free, which is about oppression and the music video set up was Coronation Street, and the characters the group played were Roger Taylor then girlfriend idea, if you've not reacted too this you'll see why I've pointed it out. I would agree with you that Sir Brian isn't mentioned enough along with other people, how many in Rolling Stone and other organisations have someone who actually built his own Guitar with his dad from items around the family home, it's made up from parts of a mantlepiece, table, a few bits from his Mum's sewing and knitting basket, saddle bag for the arm and other interesting bits, there is a video with him talking about this and his other instruments and how he built in the sound he wanted right back in 1963 and helped by the Amp John made again from nothing, that was his degree at University Electronics and to this day Sir Brian uses Amps made by John
@@CoachCastTV have you seen the last Beatles song yet? If you're going to watch this I suggest doing the whole thing with the back story which is both Sir Paul and Sir Ringo, or Sir Richard Starkey and Sir James Paul McCartney
please react to "Too much love will kill you" by Brian May. He wrote that song about the breakup of his marriage and difficulties he was going through. It is great. Freddie also did a version and that is also wonderful.
I saw that comment where Total Guitar put Brian May as number one guitarist. As of January 23, 2023, he is still number one. He sure has great and unique guitar skills
Indeed. Coach saw Rolling Stone had him 26th or something...just way too low...no disrespect to anyone rated higher, of course. We realize art is very subjective.
Hey Mrs. Coach...about John’s shorts...in the first Wembley concert 11th July John’s shorts are white with a red lipstick kiss print on them....just saying🤩
John wore shorts in several concerts and videos.....he also wore (in concert) pajamas his roadies bought for him ,after he had his hair cut short (they said he looked like the Birdman of Alcatraz, so they bought him a 'convict' outfit)..... also pictures of Roger wearing that same 'arrow' shirt..
Never seeing Queen live (with Freddie ofc) is one of my big misses in life. So jealous of everyone who had the fortune of doing it! Totally agree with your take on Brians playing, he is underrated. Probably more in the US than in Europe, I would imagine. Throwing in some new suggestions for the list: Sabaton Spiritbox Gloryhammer

If you like Eddie Van Halen, know that the guitarist was a friend of Brian May and, one day, answered a call from the Queen member to play together. Brian, alongside Eddie, Alan Gratzer, Phil Chen and Fred Mandel, suggested that they record a cover of the theme from a Japanese sci-fi puppet series called Star Fleet. The theme, the other songs and the rehearsals from that day were recently released in the Star Fleet Sessions box set and the full version of the single can be heard at the link below: th-cam.com/video/QMSta60nhY8/w-d-xo.html
Undoubtedly a wonderful performance, it is Queen after all. But for me personally, the 1985 Live Aid concert performance will never be surpassed. The band were on fire that day.
Hello again Coach...just to add that the Wembley concerts are here on TH-cam posted by Alex, who has a great channel...the difference with what he has posted is the resolution of the vids...”Queen Live in Wembley 11th July 1986 (4K -60FPS)”..in this vid you are mostly on the stage with the band....the next night 12th July it shows a lot of the audience....both are brilliant...and you can also view the songs individually...you won’t be disappointed..the quality is amazing🤩
"Resurrection" by Brian May. Thanks for the review. I have to calm down before I write anything about RSM and the ranking of guitar players. They are not fans of Queen, never have been. Please read about how Brian and his father built Brian's guitar. Boomer Sooner.
I don't know if somebody has suggested it already, but I noticed that you mentioned your favorite guitarist was Eddie van Halen. And there is a Star Fleet Project which Brian recorded with Eddie. There is a robust song with the same name as the album, but the solo jamming between Halen and May is a great listen. Just a thought. Thanks for the reactions you have done. I enjoy them.
If you want to see what other top guitarist think about Brian May, go look at the smoke on the water video with him, Tony iommi, Richie Blackmore, And that guy from Pink Floyd! 😸... You can see the look on their faces when he starts soloing! And in January 2023, total guitar magazine rated him number one! ABSOLUTELY ABOVE LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE!... AND RIGHTLY SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
❤❤❤ I think by that time John Deacon had quietly had enough of touring, and may have been protesting with his choice of outfit. He was drinking heavily at that point and if it wasn't for the revival in Queens popularity on the back of Live Aid, I think he would have retired before then. History had other plans though.
Don't agree . . .after this John Deacon even played Bass on Freddie's opera collaboration with Montserrat Caballe. It was the "How Can I Go On" track on their "Barcelona" album. Maybe "Coach" will react to that.
I don't put much stock in rankings of "greatest" musicians. Music isn't a sport with performance stats you can measure, so such lists are completely subjective and, therefore, mostly meaningless. They always say more about the person or persons doing the ranking than about the musicians themselves. I don't need Rolling Stone or anyone else to tell me who my favorite musicians should be, and Brian May is definitely one of mine.
Check out and react to Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits performing Sultans of Swing live Alchemy recording. You will be blown away by his skills as lead singer and lead guitarist.
Coach, I just stumbled upon a snippet of Brian talking about seeing and hearing Eddie Van Halen for the first time and I think you would be interested: th-cam.com/users/shortso9YGwUbdxUk?si=OinwKIhdA_5DVVi4 The picture shows BM and EVH while they worked together on Brian's Star Fleet project (they were friends) And yes, these ratings of musicians (in this case 🎸 players) are ... khm ...just crap. Music is no competition, music is art and we all just have different opinions or preferences.
Very true, and wise words on your part. Great to see the mutual admiration between those guys. For some reason we cannot get that link to work, though.
if that was the case why is mick jagger socialising with them backstage before these two shows at wembley? they are all relaxed and laughing and joking together 👑✊🏼🇬🇧
@@johngraham5996I think there was a letter "S" too many 😅 ... A conversation was about 🎸 ratings and how The Rolling Stone Magazine didn't appreciate Brian May... "The Rolling Stone never liked Queen" 🙃 and sadly that's true... Mick Jagger / Rolling Sones were on friendly terms with 👑.
Nah, you maybe havent seen him in any list because he indeed isnt considered one of the best, maybe top 10 still living or top 50 overal. He is however considered one of the best rock music composers. His sound is very unique due to his guitar, nobody can match it. There are way better electric guitar players like Jimmy Hendrix, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Keith Richards, Gary Moore, Steve Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Steve Lukather, Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Howe from Yes (the flamenco guitar solo in Queen's Innuendo btw) or Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath. Classical guitarists that entirely new level
Just thought you must watch Brian May playing Live "God Save the Queen" on top of Buckingham palace in gront of an audience of about a Billion people, Rolling stone Magazine is sxxt, they put Paul McCartney above Freddie for best vocalist, Paul is good but a great vocalist he isn't.
And as for Rolling Stone is full of crap. So many brilliant guitarists weren't included in their top 250 guitarist. Please react to Gary Moore and his version of Messiah Will Come Again from Montreux. Knocked my socks off

Thanks so much! This band's chemistry on stage is so good.
We appreciate you! This is, indeed, a fabulous song, and a fun version of it.
Freddie rockn it as always ❤
Yes, that was Spike Edney , the keyboard player... the next song is Crazy little thing called love and you can see Spike rocking that piano.... This was a great reaction, Thanks!
Thank you for confirming!
Royalty indeed, very appropriate name. Thanks for your kind comments!
Rolling Stone magazine has always been bizzarre in their choices. I reckon just based who invites them to Thanks Giving.
LOL...possibly!
Wembley was an amazing show. Nobody knew it was the last time they'd play live together. One just never knows. By the way, Coach, you get that Betty Boop shirt, I'll give you $5. Throw in the shorts, I'll make it $20. Love you guys!
LOL! Mrs. Coach may object but I'll let you know. Appreciate you!
@@CoachCastTV 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Last time.. except for Budapest a couple of weeks later, and finally Knebworth in August.
Excellent reaction love it. Brian May doesn't use a guitar pick, he uses a coin, maybe that's why he playing sounds unique. 🎉🎉🎉
He's unique in the best possible way. Thanks for watching!
Any song from this concert is amazing! Great reaction!
Brian May is consistently voted (uk) the greatest guitarist of all time in a number of guitar magazines 🎸
Spike Edney came in about 1985 as keyboard player and another guitarist when needed. He was previously with The Boomtown Rats. Queen are touring now and will be touring in Japan in 2024. And Spike is still playing keyboards for them.
Spike Edney is guy in pink. He is still with Queen.
Thanks again Mr. and Mrs. C. for yet another fabulous reaction to our favorite band... yes, Sir Dr. Brian May may be underrated, but when you have the likes of Jeff Beck as neighbors, what can you expect... they were good friends, along with Toni Iommi (Black Sabbath)... someday you could react to the entire Tribute Concert for Freddie in 1992 Wembley... absolutely whirlwind performances including Elton John and Axl Rose singing together (talk about "historical" -- the look on Roger's face is absolutely priceless!!)... blessings.
We always enjoy Queen. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we want to cry, but all the time we enjoy it.
Hell yeah, my favourite Queen song live. Glad you reacted to this as recommended.
Seriously good song!
John Deacon ( bass ) has a photo of a soap opera character called Hilda Ogden popular through the 60s 70s and early 80s,
Queen poured their heart and soul into recording albums - as they progressed, the quality of the recordings improved massively.
That's great info about Spike. Clearly he's been a very valuable and respected talent.
I know your not a ballad fan coach but your lovely lady is...however the song 'you take my breath away' is so powerful and sends a loving message that just makes you feel like the world can be great...yes I've seen a good few of your videos
We appreciate you watching. We actually have that one on the channel now. Coach will tolerate ballads for Mrs. Coach from time to time. LOL
I love watching your reactions to queen the greatest band of all Time ( my opinion ) and I’m 38 … you mentioned some great guitarist if you get chance ..Santana, smooth , bb king thrill is gone and slash god father theme live in Tokyo would be some greats to react to …… queen rock in Rio love of my life now that’s an experience … keep up the great reactions
Thankyou from the uk 🇬🇧
We truly appreciate you!
As for past critics ratings, Queen were a Fan Favorite band, not necessarily a critics choice! They were overlooked for many awards, but man could they fill a stadium to overflowing everytime! Go figure.
Yeah, the critics are not always the best source of info. LOL
Did you know that Brian has made his own guitar together with his father in the 60's? It's called the Red Special. You should look it up!
This is my very favorite fast Queen song. I first heard it when they played Live Aid, and I’ve loved it ever since.
Brilliant reaction absolutely love your channel ❤❤
Thank you so much 😁
Hilda Ogden is the woman's face on John's shirt, a character from Coronation Street 😂
Oh, nice. We'd have never guessed.
Absolutely brilliant song live! Always preferred the faster tempo from their live aid performance!
Remember you loving Radio Gaga from live aid too! That is written by Roger! Highly recommend Radio Gaga live Wembley '86 on Saturday! Awesome live performance
Still in anticipation of a kind of magic live Wembley '86 on Saturday too! Johns bass solo and brians solo give me goosebumps every time i feel like im there and thats from somebody who was born in '94! Haha
Awesome video you two! Really love your queen reactions! Keep them coming! 👍👌🔥😎
Thank you! We really enjoy this band and will continue to delve into their catalog.
No worries 👍
7:52 TLDR: Spike Edney, Sometimes played keyboard and guitar with Queen live
That is Spike Edney he played with Queen in some of their concerts in the mid-80's. He would play keyboard and piano sometimes guitar as you can see in this performance mainly because those are the instruments Freddie would have played so Freddie would be limited to how much he could run around on the stage and interract with the crowd
Very cool to know. Thanks for confirming!
I'm sure you would love the fast version of We will rock you. They used to open the show with it and it is a complete different song.
OK, good to know.
Spoke still tours with Queen and does an excellent job. Freddie does give a lot of energy but so does the whole band.
Rolling stone magazine is crap. They never liked queen. Thats the reason brian was so low listed. Spike edney supported queen since 1984 til today in the live concerts with Keyboards and guitars
Great reaction. I miss Freddie so much. Check out Who Wants to Live Forever, live at Wembley 86. Ty
Thank you!
I was there!!! ❤
Nice!
You need to watch that whole concert ty for your channel God Bless
A kind of magic is another song by Roger too forgot to mention that! 😂😂
That's a very true message. We've never gotten around to watching Stranger Things. Had it on the watch list for years. LOL
Great info. We appreciate this comment!
@@CoachCastTV have you seen the last Beatles song yet? If you're going to watch this I suggest doing the whole thing with the back story which is both Sir Paul and Sir Ringo, or Sir Richard Starkey and Sir James Paul McCartney
@@sandrabutler8483 We have not. Thanks for the guidance. Have a great weekend! 😀
please react to "Too much love will kill you" by Brian May. He wrote that song about the breakup of his marriage and difficulties he was going through. It is great. Freddie also did a version and that is also wonderful.
Oh definitely! The video to Brian's version hits you right where it counts!
🤣
John wore shorts in several concerts and videos.....he also wore (in concert) pajamas his roadies bought for him ,after he had his hair cut short (they said he looked like the Birdman of Alcatraz, so they bought him a 'convict' outfit)..... also pictures of Roger wearing that same 'arrow' shirt..
check out brian mays song called last horizon. its a solo piece. the one to watch is titled best version ever. enjoy it.
Never seeing Queen live (with Freddie ofc) is one of my big misses in life. So jealous of everyone who had the fortune of doing it! Totally agree with your take on Brians playing, he is underrated. Probably more in the US than in Europe, I would imagine.
Throwing in some new suggestions for the list:
Sabaton
Spiritbox
Gloryhammer
Thank you for these additional suggestions. Yeah, those who saw them back in the day were very fortunate.
Hi!! я очень рада что наткнулась на ваш канал, это такое удовольствие разделять с вами эмоции от просмотра видео Queen! хочу сказать большое спасибо за ваш труд! если честно, хотелось бы посмотреть с вами еще одно видео из Rainbow 1974 ‘In The Lap Of The Gods’. Голос Роджера поразит вас🥹
Send lots of love! ❤️
We are glad you are here! That is one we hope to do in the near future. Thank you so much!
Great reaction. Love queen ty for reacting❤
Thank you!! 😊
Awesome info, thank you!
Star Fleet is a superb song. Love it! 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
That's great to know. We appreciate you telling us this!
"Resurrection" by Brian May. Thanks for the review. I have to calm down before I write anything about RSM and the ranking of guitar players. They are not fans of Queen, never have been. Please read about how Brian and his father built Brian's guitar. Boomer Sooner.
May I suggest reacting to Who Wants To Live Forever at Wembley stadium July 11th, its a stunning performance
That's one we will definitely do. Several people mentioned it. Thanks for watching!
@CoachCastTv --- Finally able to join you on Patreon, Thank you!!!
We appreciate your support! Hope to continue to chat with you in both places!
It was just mentioned, and we appreciate you confirming it's a good one. We'll definitely keep it in mind. We appreciate you watching!
Thank you...just to say that Brian May IS world famous....the U.S. is only a teeny part of the world😂
If you want to see what other top guitarist think about Brian May, go look at the smoke on the water video with him, Tony iommi, Richie Blackmore, And that guy from Pink Floyd! 😸... You can see the look on their faces when he starts soloing! And in January 2023, total guitar magazine rated him number one! ABSOLUTELY ABOVE LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE!... AND RIGHTLY SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ac/DC hells bells riverplate Argentina another awesome band xx
Yes, sir. That's my favorite band and I've seen the entire River Plate concert. It's amazing!
Maybe "Coach" will react to that.
please react to Queen - Tie Your Mother Down (official video)
I don't put much stock in rankings of "greatest" musicians. Music isn't a sport with performance stats you can measure, so such lists are completely subjective and, therefore, mostly meaningless. They always say more about the person or persons doing the ranking than about the musicians themselves. I don't need Rolling Stone or anyone else to tell me who my favorite musicians should be, and Brian May is definitely one of mine.
Very well said. Some people had commented about Coach saying he was underrated, and was just clarifying that we think he's one of the best.
Check out and react to Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits performing Sultans of Swing live Alchemy recording. You will be blown away by his skills as lead singer and lead guitarist.
LOVE that performance!
You always talk about Brian May’s singing. Search for The Brian May Band singing Hammer To Fall. Brian sings it.
Thanks. We appreciate that!
Again... Wembley held something like 70,000 to 72,000 people...
Queen as a whole and the members individually never got the respect in the United States that they deserved. I just don’t understand it.
Coach, I just stumbled upon a snippet of Brian talking about seeing and hearing Eddie Van Halen for the first time and I think you would be interested:
th-cam.com/users/shortso9YGwUbdxUk?si=OinwKIhdA_5DVVi4
The picture shows BM and EVH while they worked together on Brian's Star Fleet project (they were friends)
And yes, these ratings of musicians (in this case 🎸 players) are ... khm ...just crap. Music is no competition, music is art and we all just have different opinions or preferences.
Very true, and wise words on your part. Great to see the mutual admiration between those guys. For some reason we cannot get that link to work, though.

Rolling stone magazine ranked Slash #1, so obviously they don’t know squat!!!
Exactly my point! LOL

Knocked my socks off
Yes, after seeing their list, have to agree.
