I love the Wiiflow mod. My only concern with this setup is controller support. Since this is installed on the vwii side you loose the ability to use the gamepad or wiiu pro controllers. Basically regulated to the old/original Wii controllers. Curious what everyone is using for controllers with this?
I have a good size hdd hooked up to my wii u and I was planning on running my gamecube isos through TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector Mod to install them in that method but I'd really like to use wiiflow. Is it possible to install gamecube game directly to the wii u hdd and still use wiiflow? I'd very much prefer to fill up the hdd rather than have to use the sd card.
Hey man, used your hard drive splitting tutorial and some elements of this one, would you be interested in creating a small tutorial going over the virtual Nand option in Wiiflow, I'm having issues with running WiiWare and getting past the restrictions of the very small wii storage space?
I need help - everything works good until I get to 34:42 in the video, my b button will not take me back to the retro games. When I hit b button it does not do anything. When I go to page 12 and hit source flow setting mine says no source menu found. What can I do? I appreciate your video and any help you can give.
love your guides! thank U! Asked this on a different video, BUT... is 1tb SD card overkill for wiiU if I'm shooting for full nes libraries (everything up thru gc) ? def going with 2tb ext hdd for wiiu titles thx.
Thanks man you're a hero So I have one question I want my Wii u boot to Wii flow and i need to get two menus one for Wii and the second for Wii u is that possible
So I got this set up on my WiiU with aroma and wiiflow works great from the vWii side but I cannot get the forwarder to work from the Wii U menu. When I start it, it will load to the black screen with the "Wii" logo then goes black and nothing after. Wiimote shuts off as well. Any ideas?
I got wiiflow to work with GameCube games by downloading nintendon’t, is there any way to play the games with the GameCube controller? It doesn’t seem to be working for me.
I saw that the systems (consoles) on the sd card or HDD, there was retroarch. And inside retroarch, there was Neo cd. Could you show how to set up the neo cd games in WiiFlow to play? Also, is it possible to play neo cd games in chd format?
Thank you for this guide, it’s awesome! I was wondering if it’s possible to overclock the virtual Wii when set up this way, or if another solution is needed like separate emulator channels launched from the WiiU menu. I really like the idea of everything contained in one big wiiflow setup but there’s heavier N64 games I’d like to try and run.
watched a few of your videos helped me out a lot but you don't seem to cover other old computers like spectrum or dragon 32. probably not heard of them in the USA as they were British companies lol
Hi I made everything and installed cios But every time play Wii games Wiiflow queting to Wii menu I changed iOS to 251 instead of auto in wiiflow and works fin Is there any way to play any game without changes iOS ?
What do you mean by emulation on the Wii U? Do you mean on the virtual Wii? Or do you mean emulators on the Wii U themselves? To my knowledge, you can only run emulators through the virtual Wii. There are ways where you can overclock the virtual Wii to perhaps give you better speeds in the emulators but I haven't done that personally. Individual emulators have their individual options for upscaling, some do some don't
@@BelowAverageGaming You can emulate on the Wii U with RetroArch now. Check FunkyScott47 for his latest video on that. It works well but I haven't tried everything to validate. I did have a small issue with sounds with one of the core (I don't remember which one) but it was good with others that I tested. WiiFlow looks like a better option for WiiU though (even if it runs through virtual Wii). It seems the development is much more advance and adapted for the console. I think it would be worth comparing them.
Great video mate! So im having a weird issue - everything is working well except for wii games on the wiiflow app. I have my wii u games installed on an external sdd and wii and GC games installed on 256gb sd card. Now both wii and GC games work on GX loader no problem but on the wiiflow app only GC games work, when I try to load a wii game I'm thrown out back onto the wii menu. I've checked settings and tried CISO - 250, 251 and auto. No luck? It has to be the wiiflow settings right? As it workd on gx loader like I said. Would appreciate your help buddy 👍
There's a couple of different things that you can try. Unfortunately a lot of things can cause this problem. As a test I would say to try to play your Wii games on a different device. For example, if you're using the SD card, try using a USB drive and see what happens, if you're using a USB drive, try using the SD card and see if the results change. When in doubt you can always do the CIOS installer over, no harm in that. wii.hacks.guide/cios-vwii.html As a last resort, you could also uninstall everything for WiiFlow and try again because perhaps a file got corrupted along the way.
@@BelowAverageGaming thanks for the swift reply. Yeah I've already tried the CIOS installer and didn't work. I haven't partitioned my drive so it will be tricky to transfer my sd games to HD. It's just weird that works on GX but not on wiiflow 🤷♂️
AMAZING VIDEO! Quick question does wiiflow start configurator overwrite when changing it? I accidentally put the wrong numbers in and then went back and fixed it?
Awesome tutorial! The only issue i had was a major one. I cant even get wiiflow to load. Constant looping back to homebrew channel. I have tried 249, 250, and 251. Including auto and none change the outcome. Also have tried loading it through Usb loader gx. That also would not work. Please let me know if you of any other workarounds. Im excited to eventually be able to load wiiflow. Thanks! Ps using a 128gb sandisk ultra hc sd card. Formatted to fat32
Awesome tutorial and it didn't even work!?!? Jk lol Are you doing this on Wii or Wii U? (Stupid question I know) Have you done the CIOS installer before yourself? If not I would recommend doing it : wii.hacks.guide/cios.html (Just make sure you do it for your system. Whether it's Wii or the virtual wii) Did you delete the Wiiflow save file as instructed in the video? And did you run the Wiiflow start configurator?
I know it's something I did. That's why I said that lol. I'm using the Wii u. So I am using vwii. I have tried all 3 different cios types. I don't remember ever deleting a part of the wiiflow as you mentioned. Do you remember what point it was at in this tutorial? I did run the wiiflow start configuration
@@BelowAverageGamingso I tried deleting it before trying another bios in the configurator. But it deletes the entire bios. And then I have to reload it with the default bios. I noticed you didn't delete it in your video. Am I missing something obvious?
Delete the save Start Wiiflow which creates a new save Open configurator tool and try setting iOS If that doesn't work, repeat process with different iOS. If that doesn't work and your application still does not open, I'm not sure what the issue could be
I tried using Python to show my N64 games, but Python says, "N64 games" folder does not exist and no .zip files present in the 'n64 games' folder. Any help?
I'm planning on getting an 8bitdo pro 2 Bluetooth controller and loading blupair on my Wii u for pro controller compatible games. Will this work on vWii for retro games also?
When you're downloading the Wiiflow plugins pack, the title has now changed to "Wiiflow plugins pack complete"
Wow! Very detailed video! Incredible work! Thanks for all your help again!
They updated the WiiFlow Plugin the day after you submitted this video lol
You have the BEST videos bro I’m currently attempting to mod my Wii I’m going to try and make it look as cool as yours

I'm not sure which step you missed but if your source flow isn't there then you didn't transfer the files to the SD correctly

Does the cache load everytime we press it or only once?
Only once per console unless you make changes, then you can do it again

and if I'm just trying to update wiiflow, do I just add the new files or need to remove all wiiflow files from my sd first? cuz it's like 7GB of files
There’s an update option in wiiflow, and if you can’t do that, just drag and drop the new wiiflow files and overwrite them
