Man, this is awesome! $30K in savings, plus a pension, an IRA, a good salary (which will increase every year), a future home, and a doctorate degree in a few years. This woman is going to be stupid wealthy!!!! I am so happy for her, and for her to have these financial skills at her age is phenomenal.
I LOVE that you mentioned *TITHING!* People get turned off by the idea of tithes and offerings but one day my pastor said "God can do more with your 10% than you can do with your 100%" and it stuck with me. ☺️

My pastor was caught stealing church money lol . After that I stopped. I donate to charities instead.
Ofcourse your pastor would say that, he wants you to contribute. Not implying your church is but a lot of churches are corrupt, so I don’t give anymore. I give in other ways, God is omniscient and omnipresent so he witnesses my giving. If money is the root of all evil, why are pastors always pressuring people to give? 🤔
Leah McDermott not disagreeing with you, bc some pastors, do that, but when you give not only are you blessed (just like giving to charities), that money goes for the bills of the church (taking care of the church/home).

You are a testimony that it can be done!!! I became serious about saving in February and we now have a healthy sum of money. My problem was that I spent on frivolous things that I did need. God put me on a spending fast in February just to show me that I was literally wasting about $3000 on NOTHING!!! After that, I said, "I got it now God"!!! I have been able to save close to that amount monthly!!! Congratulations to you!!! #goals. We are currently in the UK and will be headed back in a couple of years. Our plans are to move to McDonough, GA and we want to have as much cash as possible to buy our retirement home!!! This video is very dope and inspiring! Thank you love!!! ❤❤❤

Awesome vid. Congrats.She is so on it with the rent. That is the biggest expense for most of us. Rent is ridiculous these days but renting a room, having roommates, or renting a guest house is truly the way to go if you're trying to save especially in bigger cities where rent is sky high. A lot of times utilities are included in the rent so that helps save coints too. It might not be ideal and you may be use to more privacy but it's a means to an end especially if you're trying to get to the next level. Sacrifice now and relish later. It's so worth it.

This was great info. Though I live in Cali and rent is expensive. Even renting a room, which I've done before is steep out here. But I LOVE having my own place.
Although I can't save that much a month, I am still saving and working on my $15k by december. I am halfway there. Once I get $15k, I'll start saving for a home, which the goal is $30k aside from my $15k. I'll be in my apartment a few more years but it's okay. 3-5 years is the goal. If I can save between $8k-$10k a year over 5 years, I'll hit my goal.

@@Sunkissbabe2 idk how I'm just now seeing this but I'd recommend putting some money in a savings account. I'm 21 & started working at 18. When I first got the job, the first thing I did was open a savings and checking account.

Loved the info inbetween such as your tax returns. Going into adulthood and hearing co workers mention the first thing they were going to buy with their tax return was weird to me. I know understand just because you have money doesn't mean you need to spend it. My boyfriend is from Africa (Lome, Togo) and the only payment method available is cash and most people typically get paid once a month if they work for a company. Saving is a necessity and a requirement. Definitely implementing more of this into my routine and your videos have truly helped thanks!!!!!!!!

My rent is twice that, and its a shared house. 😪😪😪. START to add other bill its about $3000 😭😭. i still save a minimum of 25k plus a year though. not including, retirement and investment .

Love that you mention tithing, but a small correction tithing is 10% of your gross income. So, this means off the top before taxes. Tithing it not what you want to give.Tithing is none to be 10%. If you make $3000 amount your tithe will be $300, and your offering will be whatever you desire to give. The offering amount speaks of your love for God so your offering amount is what is on your heart to give.

Not every situation is going to be the same. If you can't stay at home, then you need to save money by cutting back somewhere else. You can't expect to spend all your money and somehow save 5 million dollars in two weeks.
