I’m at 7.5k saved in 3.5months working full time w/ rent high car note high insurance & two phone bills for me & son. Nail care every week BUT I MEAL PREP. Proud Mom!
I’m sure that is possible I mean i used to save 3.6 k a month last year but yeah definitely get a job that pays more if you want nice things if you see an opportunity go for it . I could have saved more money than her in 2 months honestly . With kids , rent , phone bill ,insurance and groceries and not to mention house necessities and car maintenance .No man. Lol girl power
Tomorrow I start my second full time job, in efforts to purchasing a home before the end of 2021. I am a single woman with bills bills, however I want something big to come out of 2020. So Project Saving begins tomorrow!!!! Wish me luck, now back to this video.
Saving can get addictive. Im saving for the third time. with my first savings I brought electronics and second, I helped do my parents kitchen. This time round, im trying to save for a year's emergency fund.
100% agree! When I started dating my boyfriend he really worked to teach me the value of a dollar and how to save! I am now working three jobs at 17 so I can reach my goal of a 10k emergency fund once we move out next year for university
The only way u can even save that much is if you’re making enough money to save it because at the end of the day bills don’t stop kids need things and always expect the unexpected making $10hr won’t do it . She’s speaking from a person who’s already making a good amount of money like she said in the video you have to have more money coming in to even save that amount
yeah this isn’t a realistic goal for anyone who’s not already earning a high income, which is like a lot of the people watching this. but the tips could still be used so 🤷🏽♀️
The best comment yet. I thought I was the only one who felt like this. Some people are making minimum wage with children, recurring bills, unexpectancies, etc. Everytime I look up a bill is due. I'm not saying its impossible to save, but dang! Lbs. People be like I saved $45,000 in 2 weeks. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Living off almost half my income got me to 30k in 10 months. Budgeting and delayed gratification works saving is now a habit I barely notice anymore. Projecting to be at 50k by March if I stay on track
I don’t like the tip “live with ur parents” 🥺 personally I’ve suffered so much trauma in my home. It’s mentally & emotionally draining living with my parents. I feel like this is a space where I can’t grow mentally or emotionally. Im moving out next month with 2 other roommates! Im so excited.
I don't condone living in an environment that causes trauma, stress or is generally unhealthy to you and your mental health. I'm glad you're doing what's best for you and moving out - living on your own with roomies will be so fun!
This is probably one of the best thorough money savings videos I've watched in a long time! Loved it. New subbie here ❤️ Currently, I am on pace to save $25K this year. I'll be hitting $20K next week so I'm so happy. There's been A LOT of sacrifices I've had to make, but it has definitely been worth it
That’s so exciting. I just replied on someone else’s comment with this, but open a Roth IRA if you haven’t yet! Putting 5k in now, you could see it grow by way more than it would in a savings account. There’s a lot of TH-cam videos on it. I opened one with fidelity but there’s a lot of institutions you can out into.
I truly resonate, when you say “ we can’t do it all” . Something I’m still learning, to allow others to help because I’m so used to having a mindset where I truly want to do it ALL myself and not seek help.
You're Awesome!!! I have watched over 15 videos on this topic and you are the first who actually stated tracking as something to do first. Tracking is key!!!
Hi Tanicha! Congrats on saving 10k in 7 months.. Seriously IMPRESSIVE! I am a personal trainer and personal finance enthusiast so I love the idea of SMART goals for keeping track of your goals. Nice work lady, and thanks for sharing these tips!
The answer was given in the beginning if you want to save 10,000 dollars you have to live with your parents, or someone who will let you live rent free. The rest is just ways to save money and how easy it can be.
This was great tips!!Thank you 😊I just started my savings journey & it’s hard to deny friends to go out but I keep thinking it’ll be money down the drain if I do but my savings is growing !!
Yes!! And you can still go out, you just have to plan and budget for outings with friends and have enough discipline to only allow yourself a set # of outings a week/month + stick to it! You got this!!🤍
Smart goals! we use that in nursing too before a patient gets discharged home. I love the idea of using it on your finances, really any goal should be made into a SMART goal.
I paused the video and screenshotted when the spreadsheet image came up. I thought it was just a still you used as an example and I was going to try to recreate it from scratch! Imagine my surprise when I saw the link to the exact template in the description box! (maybe you mentioned it in the video but I was multitasking) I'm so grateful and so excited to plug in my numbers!! THANK YOU!
My big budgeting tip is: recognize luxury vs necessity. A starbucks a day for a year ends up adding up its easy to get carried on w society and what it expects us to have and to buy.
nice video you made thank you for sharing your tips on the budgeting... Love your necklace so pretty.. I want to get for my daughter can i have the link where you got that from... Thank you once again
This was a great video! Thank you for being so realistic! I want to save 10k in a year so I’m looking forward to it! ❤️ thanks so much for the practical tips and advice!
Thanks for these tips, I absolutely love saving and investing towards my personal, future goals. The beauty treatments form part of self care and I usually pay in advance and get a hefty discounted package. I used to spend a lot towards my travels, but obviously with the pandemic I got to save even more and going forward I’ll travel a bit less and work towards reaching my other goals rather, then reward myself with a trip when I’ve achieved that said goal. I really loved the tips 😍 thank you!
Covid and the shutdown really motivated me to save and I saved about close to 15k. I cancelled my gym membership, boxycharm subscription, basically anything that I don't really need. I also stopped spending money on eating out since most restaurants were closed or were limited. I was just not spending money at all, other than a few major bills and this also applied to my husband as well. I'm really hoping to buy a home in the next year and this is a great start for me.
That’s exactly what I did!! Cut out all the unnecessary stuff and having everything closed has honestly been AMAZING for my bank account - I don’t miss it at all lol🤑
Awesome tips! I just started on my saving journey, def will start using that app. Thanks for the advice, love your channel! Many blessings your way!! 🙏🏽🤍🤍
thank you so much! I am looking to save more this year. This video is so helpful I took notes and going to start putting some goals in place and cut back where I need to!
Great video!!! I’ve always been a saver right now I’m saving for a business investment and boyfriend and I saving for Hawaii vacation next year yay!!!! Very much important to save if we as people want things car, house, pay off student loan etc. your such a lovely young lady full wisdom ♥️
I had a small sidejob for a while, like very small 250€ a month and the only thing I spent money on was my wardrobe (second hand ofc) but it still must've cost me about 300€? I didn't count. I don't regret it tho because I feel so much more confident now, my old clothes made me feel ugly and not like me. I feel kinda guilty, but I know I shouldn't. It was worth it. I didn't buy anything else, no decorations, bath products I knew I don't need, drawing supplies etc. I still saved about 1800€ that way and I am proud.
If you’ve been feeling a bit down lately and your reading this comment... I hope something amazing happens within your life very soon, stay strong, everything always works out in the end and have a great rest of your day/night - from a small youtuber!
Hi Tanicha, I'm a new subscriber and I just want to say congrats on saving $10,000! I really like your advice on using a budget, it can seem intimidating to set up one, but, like you said, it truly helps! And I like your tip on making sure to stick to the goals I've set. It can be easy to set a goal, but it requires dedication to actually fulfill the financial goals! Another channel I've learned financial advice from is Canna Campbell's SugarMamma TV. She provides tips on how to save and even wrote a book called The $1,000 Project! I believe you would like her tips as well! Thanks again for sharing your journey and I'm looking forward to your future uploads!
I’m planning to save £800 by the end of this year, I know it’s nothing but as a 17 year old who loves to shop and only has a part time job of a few hours a week, it’s quite a lot to me and I just wish I started this goal last year. For anyone my age trying to save their money, plan out how much you need per month to reach your goal and make sure you take this out of your wage first! Also make a checklist of each month and stick it by your bed so you see it everyday which is what I’m doing!
Loved this! I also LOVE your budget spreadsheet! Would you ever consider making a copy of it as a template for your viewers and maybe a video walking us through how you use it?
This is inspirational and incredible 🙌Thank you for sharing this! With lockdown and just being home so much this year my savings has really ramped up and I want to just continue it even when things are more normal
I'm currently attempting to get back to budgeting so I can start allocating money towards different goals! Hopefully, I can do well but working as a student worker, I don't get paid next to as much as I wish, but hopefully, that's in my next job!
Yes!! I need to work on editing mine bc it’s super tailored to me but it’s on my to-do list and I’ll post a link of it here/in the description box once it’s ready!! 🤍
You have to keep in mind... If you live with your parents you can save 10k in 6 months because you dont pay for housing or pay barely anything... Also if you have a roomate or you live with your husband/boyfriend saving is much easier....If you make over 50k a year with all the living arrangments i mentionned earlier you can save 10k in 6 months... People who live alone working minimum wage how they can save 10k in 6 months ? Single moms ???How ????
I find it hard because I pay light, water, internet and tv and I still live with my mom...then I also pay my student loan close to $300 a month. This takes up almost more than half of my salary.
I make less than $40,000 a year, single mother to a 15 years old child, I own my 2bedrooms,2 bathrooms condo that I bought through foreclosure that doesn't need any work done in a good neighborhood , no roommate, cook my own food, no junk foods, living below my means and I have started saving over $1,000 a month from July 2020 since I changed my mindset.
I should be at 9K soon and now have a realistic shot at banking 10K in a few months depending on how much a save. It helps to have a consistent income and to make enough to take care of the basics and have some left over. Eating at home certainly helps because you'll be shocked at how much you spend eating out in a month. I want to pay a good percentage of my credit card down before I can seriously get rid of my student loan debt. I'm wondering if I should keep going after 10K and pay it off then before I replace the spent funds
there are some people that could not handle holding a signifcant other accountable for their spending Oh no I couldnt let someone do that look at me like that because there are some that would take it too far and not know their place in the end of the day. I am glad that worked out for you.
Something that's help me out is having multiple accounts! I have 3 that I'm managing and because of that I totally forget about my savings account with automatic transfers I don't even think about my savings! And before you know it in just a few months I have a nice little amount of change saved up! And learn the stock market! I can't say that enough! It's not doing to good now because of the election but that happens but let it be to your benefit
My bf always raves about how much he’s earning in stocks - I definitely want to get into them just need to do more research and make smart investments! 👏🏾
Great tips. Living with my parents wasn’t good for me though. I had to be sleep by a certain time and couldn’t be too loud. It wasn’t worth it. Now I live in my car lol I’m not paying these high rent prices.
The one thing that I struggle with is just spending my money😭 I literally just got paid like $1134 and I’m already down to $485 and I don’t know how or what I spent for me to get that low. I also planned to use at least $500 for bills but idk how to really budget
I’m at 7.5k saved in 3.5months working full time w/ rent high car note high insurance & two phone bills for me & son. Nail care every week BUT I MEAL PREP. Proud Mom!

Just paid off 35k in student loans. Trying to get my savings back to 15k by December.
That's awesome and you really gotta look around investing too that pays more

Having a supportive partner that sees eye to eye with you on saving money is such a game changer.

Congratulations on hitting your goal and hitting it early! Each year I make a financial goal then break it down into monthly goals.
At the start of the video “live with ur parents” sis I’m here to learn how to save without my parents 😅

Well done . That is my goal by January 2021. Staying with parents is not always the best if you support them..
Emergency funds is so important before you start investing

So sweet, thank you so much! ♥️
I'm currently attempting to get back to budgeting so I can start allocating money towards different goals! Hopefully, I can do well but working as a student worker, I don't get paid next to as much as I wish, but hopefully, that's in my next job!
Sending you positive vibes babe!! ✨✨
@@tanicha Same to you! 🥰✨
Hi! Would you consider posting an editable version of your budget Excel sheet please/how to make one based on our expenses and needs? :) thank you!
@@leishie98716 Omg !!! I didnt know you had all those expenses....At least in this channel we can support each other and give each other ideas...
rizeuse YES! I really want to be a good steward to my money and buckle down and how much I’m spending.
@@leishie98716 We got this
I make less than $40,000 a year, single mother to a 15 years old child, I own my 2bedrooms,2 bathrooms condo that I bought through foreclosure that doesn't need any work done in a good neighborhood , no roommate, cook my own food, no junk foods, living below my means and I have started saving over $1,000 a month from July 2020 since I changed my mindset.
Thanks hun.My budget begins next month. And this video is just in time.
Fantastic suggestions! This is such an important topic to be discussing right now. I really enjoyed the video!
Thank you!
I’m have a baby with no money cause I lost my job but I’m getting a new job soon so I need a great budget
Good luck ♥️
Thank you so much for the advice 🙏🏽 Would you be willing to share the spreadsheet you used for budgeting ? ❤️
This video is fantastic, thank you for the saving advice! ❤️
So glad you found it helpful! ☺️
Very helpful, thank you! Looks like I need to track my expenses better :)
there are some people that could not handle holding a signifcant other accountable for their spending Oh no I couldnt let someone do that look at me like that because there are some that would take it too far and not know their place in the end of the day. I am glad that worked out for you.
You should make a video on how you created your budget charts.
@@tanicha Yes! Do it you won't regret it 😊
Do you have a link for the gel nail kit on Amazon ? I’m looking for a good one to cut back on nail salons:)
Yes, here you go 🤍✨ amzn.to/2MRtFy3
Ily for linking the budget template💕
Started my own personal goal in November, by this November I hope to have made it if not more ❤️
I’m the same way ! It’s super discouraging and I get so disappointed in myself. I’ve been really praying against mindless spending.
Try the envelope method.
This is so me 🤦🏽♀️ I am really working on it, never was taught how to save money
Use mint! It connects to your bank accounts and automatically categorizes your purchases . You can see past trends I love that app so much
