As a mortgage professional, the home buying process is ghetto & so is the entire mortgage industry lol
That mortgage company was super unprofessional. You can actually file a complaint with the CFPB since your disclosures weren’t sent 3 business days before your closing date. More customers need to do this. Complaints lead to audits, and audits lead to possible financial restitution if a decent number of people are effected by poor practices. Sounds like your Closer wasn’t on top of their game.

I also experienced crazy with mortgage company with my closing on my first home in may. It was just plain ridiculous I almost lost money to builder as I almost didn't close on time due to lender. Talk about the stress.

I've been waiting for you to come back! Lol I know how you feel because I just started as a transaction coordinator this month for a realtor (I run her social media too, that's what I started as in February, but she wants to teach me new skills) and babbbyyyy it's HECTIC! Lol everything you went through I have to deal with that but multiple sellers/buyers all at once lol im happy you got your home! You definitely taught me how to manifest what I want.

Girl I went through hell when building and purchasing my townhome as well. I closed on April 30th. Never will I ever buy a townhome or go through these builders again!!

I closed on my brand new home in March. I'm a travel nurse and when I tell you that I went through HELL with the architects, and my lender...it was a headache. I was also on a travel assignment in another state all while trying to make this happen.

Prices have spiked since then. NEVER go with the builder’s bank. They only recommend them because they get a kick back but they are usually awful.

Wait wait, how did you find a new build for $200k in this market? Huge blessing!! There were issues at my closing literally 2 weeks before closing with the mortgage company they referred so I had to go with my credit union at last minute (so glad I did!) to get things moving so we can get clear to close. It was a lot but we got there.
