Been watching you paint since the old GW days. I remember telling my Warhammer buddy, 'man you gotta watch this Duncan dude paint!'. Your a legend mate! Keep up the great work.

@@alsmith5031 thanks buddy 🙏🏼 really have to say im enjoying his videos ao much and I dont even paint since 10 years but he makes me wanna go back to it. The calm, his voice and his brilliant talent is just insane 🙏🏼
It's not just about how clean you paint the minis, it's about how you can take such an amazing project like Angron and divide it into easy to follow pieces. You make painting look and by that, BE easier, with enough patience, anyone can reach these levels. Especially on a big model like this one, where edge-highlighting is a bit easier. Games Workshop lost not only a talented painted, but a very talented and patient teacher, something that won't be easy to replace. Amazing video.
Love it, would love to see you take on Mortarion again as well, the way you make these bigger beasties look easier for the rest of us is absolutely needed
Watching your videos has inspired me to get back into the hobby again. I was heavily into it in the 90's. I won Young Bloods in '97 so the basics are there. Its been fantastic watching you paint and helping me pick up some new skills and ideas. Thank you.

The angriest Ron of them all. An absolutely awesome sculpt, painted wonderfully. Many of the parts of this video are also very useful if you are interested in painting a Bloodthirster. In a way Angron is just a really big, scary Bloodthirster so many of the steps used here will look great on there as well.
I hope one day he does all the primarchs. I would one day like to have ferrus Mannus and fulgrim painted for a dropsite display but they look really intimidating
I followed this guide, and it's probably the best I've ever painted. Thank you! I also appreciate that you used drybrushing for the skin, my preferred method.

buying this model next week, whilst ill be using different paints to what you have used its a good way to see if there is any smaller details you do in ways i prefer to the official warhammer tutorial. also it helps me get excited to paint him!
Yeah the same for me, i will use the same colours for his skin and the sword but will definitely tone down the brass. Its a bit too shiny for my personal liking. Havent decided if i wanted to do iron or a darker more desatured brass
@@Ouwesnuifduif1I found the use of a warm bronze color a bit odd given all the red skin. Runelord Brass from Citadel is much more of a cold tone and really balances the official studio piece

Hey first off thanks for all the guides and all the great paints, Ive got all 180 and love the academy. I have one question thats been having me curious. For the World Eaters logo, would you say its worth using the Angron method used here with the added Ahriman Blue to the Kabalite Green for the Berzerkers too? Or is it just not necessary because of the size of their pads? I just ask because this is the newer video so it seems you may have adapted the color over time. But I also figured you may just have used the simpler non-mixing method for the Zerkers because of how many of them we have to paint haha. Bonus question, since I have all of your paints and wave 3 is out, any suggestions on a couple colors to replace those 2-3 citadel paints and use your paints only for the World Eaters logo? (I've checked the reference chart but its rough since Lupercel Green doesn't really have a similar replacement I can find.) Or are some of your technical paints good for this as well in lieu of something like Nihilakh Oxide? If you respond I would highly appreciate it, but either way thank you so much for all you've done!!!!!!

Hey Duncan, I'm entering my first Golden Demon soon. (Youngbloods). Do you have any advice? Also, congrats on 300k, even if you deserve over 1 million lol
Sure, just have fun with it, remember your brush control and thin your paints! No streaks. Also, thanks for the kind words and good luck 😊
It looks really good which make me want to spend more money. How to build forge world primarch?
Great video will be using this as a guide thanks. Will you do a Gulliman tutorial?
