It's kind of weird to me seeing people's violent dislike of the World Eaters. Saying "Why would they get the nails? That's stupid and childish!" When them being the irrational sons of an abusive father is literally the entire crux of the story.

It's literally a story of abusive and neglectful cycles. The Emperor never cared about Angron or anything he held dear, and he in turn did the same. And now, his sons.

@@thedivinekahuna298 I THINK it was one of Vox in the Voids videos where Angron states how disappointed he was with them for cowing so easily, each and every one of them. It may not be official cannon but that fits so much into his character. Pleased they show solidarity and loyalty, disgusted how they'd so willingly volunteer.
There may be competition but there is only 1 Lord Baldy who provides such rich lore and tales to bring 40k to life

Oh yeah, the pure passion in every video brings me back every time. To date my favorite story is the thatius but I can imagine him sitting in front of a raging fire with a bear pelt rug and a drink in hand ready to spin a new tale.

I still play totalwar warhammer 1 now and then. Just to think wh fantasy might still have a future.

Their rage isn't comparable to what a 40k fan achieves when you tell them that having a fight scene go for half a book isn't amazing writting.

Fight scenes are most fun when they're focused on how it effects a character. It's why Gotrek and Felix is so fun to me but Space Marines are kinda dull

Ive always loved the sweet tragedy of Angron and his sons, Re-Listened to Cry Havok by A Vox in the void... istvaan 3 was brutal. Garviel Loken of the newly coined Lunar Wolves had to lie to Captain Ehrlen about the betrayal to get the remaining legionaries to safety saying the traitors had detonated a virus bomb. Only for them to see Angron barrelling towards their lines then the realisation kicks in... this Is why I loved the fall to Khorne during the fighting

Oenomaus had already freed Desh'ea and ruled House Thal'kyr, then after hearing about the boy named Angron, raised first by wolves and then by villagers, he decides to recruit him among his gladiators, seeing him as their hope.
Angron thus grows well becoming a just adult, in a reborn city with a large army of strong warriors, successfully leading his valiant soldiers (and many others thanks to his empathic psychic power), with the title Lord of the Red Sands, against the tyrants (witnessing the tragic but honorable death of his father figure in the last battle), ultimately becoming the Gladiator King, powerful ruler of all Nuceria.
Some time after the planet's pacification Angron meets the Emperor, this time voluntarily embracing his place as son, Primarch and father of the XII Legion of War Wolves (World Eaters), officially making Nuceria their homeworld.
Or maybe even this: all the cities of Nuceria are already free and governed by several Gladiator Kings (the bloody slavery just a bad memory), who over time see the rise of the wolf Angron Thal'kyr as a sign of a worthy ruler (and future worthy Primarch)!
