Holy crap, this is the exact question I had at Joe Nall and was trying to help a guy out. I couldn't get the elevator to move at the same speed as the flaps when I had slowed the flaps down. Thanks for solving yet another situation for me!!!!
Thanks Adam, very clear. In my case X20 RS, once I choose T6, I don't have a value displayed next to it like in the Video. However, at least now I have a decent Flap to Elevator mix. Still looking for a way to reverse (or cancel) my Thrust Reverse (because it is always on and the EDF is sucking air rather than blowing air), then find a way to activate it only on a switch or a momentary switch.
The video is from a pre-1.5 version of ETHOS. SO the display is different from the current version. FOr your thrust reverse, you need to know what channel it is, then setup a Free Mix to control it.
@@adam_mawz_maas thanks a lot Adam ! It was long process to discover the issue, but finally was successful. The only way was to reset the FMS Predator 120A esc (11 beeps), then activating reverse of the esc (4 beeps). Of course it wasn’t that simple. Needed to open the edf and pull out the esc to know the brand and searched for its manual and so on. Now all is good. Thanks 👌
i like how you did this but i dont like mixing ele with half flaps/takeoff flaps. i like just using free mix. they really should put slow on these mixes. not sure why they didnt.
They didn't put slow in the flaps->ele mix because if setup correctly, it would actually break things out. NB - Use the Active Condition of the mix or a 3 point curve to zero out the mixer output at half/takeoff flaps.
@@adam_mawz_maas not sure what you mean by "break things out". slow should be an option in these mixes. it pretty much makes these predefined mixes useless for me without it. this is why i use freemix because the option is there. not sure why they chose to leave this option out doesnt make any sense. using the predefined mixes as they are now is no different than using freemix takes the same amount of time but with more options. it would be ideal to have flaps=>ele be the flaps and ele mix on one mix that would make things much more simple and is the reason it should have slow up and slow down. i thought ethos was supposed to be easier than openttx but in reality it is not.
You adjust the flaps in the Flaps Mixer (balancing the flaps should be done by matching your midpoint and endpoints in the Outputs menu, or the new Balance function which should be in ETHOS 1.5.16)
I checked many different u tubes for flap to ele. but just found your video and its by far the best one , thanks a million Adam
Glad it helped!
Definitely best I've found also
Good stuff Mawz! Thanks for your support on RCgroups.
Glad you find it useful!

Glad it came in handy!
Adam... I like the way you teach...Thanks
Thank you Steve!
Again, clear and concise. Thanks Adam, ,multiple good tips on this video.
Thanks!
wow, finally someone shows it the correct way, thank you!!!!
You're welcome!

thanks for this simple video had fighting to get the slow on the elevator mix to work thanks for the info
Glad it helped
Thank you for this - works great but how do you change the amount of movement of the two Flaps ?
You adjust the flaps in the Flaps Mixer (balancing the flaps should be done by matching your midpoint and endpoints in the Outputs menu, or the new Balance function which should be in ETHOS 1.5.16)
Will this work with SXR enabled?
Yes
...😜👌
