FIXED: Wonderful video. Helped me to understand mixes. Helped me in setting up a UMX Turbo Timber Evolution. 3 position flaps on channel 6 Using switch SB on my Radio Master TX16S running Edge TX 2.9.2. Channel 6 is using -100 up, 0 mid, 100 down. The flaps work perfectly with 2 second speed. In mixes I have added elevator mixing for the middle and down positions of switch SB. Source is switch SB, weight is -17% with SB-, weight is -30% with SB down. With 2 second speed. However, elevator mixing only works for SB down. No elevator movement in SB-. Channel 6 monitor shows this also. Oddly enough I tried using flaps or channel 6 as my source for the mix and the SB down works. SB- will give a momentary few % in the positive direction then return to zero. If I set the weight to 20% positive, SB- will give momentary movement of elevator in negative direction and return to zero. I used the percentages recommended in the Timbers user manual. Any ideas? Working now, changed my source to MAX.
Thanks for the video on this! Question, I have a three position switch. The middle position is partial flaps but I also want to mix down elevator into it. With the x
Hello and thanka for all your support. Can you make one video how to mix aileron and elevator, always for jet edf 50mm eachine? Maibe you not have eachine 50mm,but in general for who want to mix that settings? Cheers and keep your good work!
Just curious is there a way to adjust the compensation for the flaps on the fly while madening the plane for the first time. By maybe making the elevator trim switch adjust while the flaps are down, but go back to normal trims when the flaps go back up.
EdgeTX • How To Change Weight [Rates] and Expo with the Knobs or Sliders th-cam.com/video/lzWUhXblqus/w-d-xo.html Flight modes would work too as they have the ability to set trims per mode.
Any idea on being able to adjust the elevator down movement while in flight? On landing, lets say you have too much or too little elevator, is there an easy way to adjust this in mid fight?
Flight modes is an answer, but not the only answer. With gyros, I tend to use flight modes so I can have individualized trim to correspond with the gyro mode. In that case, using flight modes to mix flaps/elevator isn't a good idea because I might land with stab on, or stab off which both could have different trim arrangements. Just pointing out there are several ways to do things on Edge as @flyer mikey is also pointing out.

Good job.
Thank you for taking the time and writing down the answer! I'm setting up the exact same plane and experienced the same problem.
Thanks! Worked for me as well!
For me too but only if i take out the function x
You just get better on explaining new ideas in EdgeTX, this old man is having fun implementing this snippets. Keep up the good work John.
Good! Have fun with it.
Thank you thank you. Setting up my first plane without a flight controller. This is such valuable information
Very welcome!
Brilliant tutorial, this is definitely the easiest way to do this and I had no idea about using the "func" in mixes! thank you. Tony
You're very welcome!
Good job brother.. like your videos..they have helped me out lots
Glad to help.
attaboy one more hit !
Thanks
Welcome
I have my flap elevator mix using flight modes. Can do the mix while flying using the elevator trim . No guessing have much you need on the ground
Yeah, that's a good way to do it too.

EdgeTx - How to set failsafe?
It's receiver protocol dependent.
