My uncle, who was sudanese was going to play pro for Al-Hilal Sudan. However, his parents told him to go to university and become an accountant because football in Sudan didn't pay well. He listened to his parents and didn't sign the contract, but he said he would have never made it that far without the inspiration of george weah.

Hey Raymar, can you try making a video about the 94/95 ucl winning Ajax squad? It was stacked with legends like seedorf, van der sar, frank de boer, rijkaard, edgar davids, overmars, kluivert, and ofc Litmanen who was the best among them that time but isn't remembered as much now. Also they were even coached by Van Gaal. I personally see them as among the top 5 best ucl squads of all time.
Ah, I remember those times. It was always Ajax, Feyenoord and Juventus back then.

I saw him play and score in Padova, Italy (when he was with AC Milan). He was awesome, and there were many other great players, too (such as Pirlo and Roberto Baggio [my childhood idol], who almost scored a header and, I believe, provided the assist to Weah). Baresi (the legendary defender) scored the winning goal in that match. Incredible memories. :)

Hey Liberian here, great video but I want to point out a couple things
He was not from a village lol He's from Clara town, a community that's in the capital city of Liberia.
I live in that community currently and sadly, it is still underdeveloped....
I'll never forget that fabulous solo goal against Verona in which Weah barely looked like he was breaking a sweat while frolicking through the entire opposition backline. It typified his class, bluster and frightening individual ability: do you know how difficult that was to do in 1990s Italy?

He was born and raised into adult age in an african country (at the time part of the Portuguese "empire") so, granted, he's Portuguese, but not European. He's definitely African.

I have Venezuelan ancestry but I would much rather play for them then America, problem is Im a 5 - 7th generation Venezuelan so idk, but because I have Trinidadian parents I would prefer play for Trinidad. South American Football is better than North American football.

Forcing players to get degrees and stay in college just ruins wonder kids, in Europe no one is looking at your education status and players turn pro as soon as 18 in Europe, in American you have to wait till 22-24 which is to late and is ruining wonder kids who have a change in the teenage years.
