The problem is that the foreign languages we speak separate us more than the physical borders between our countries: for example, a Ghanaian knows better what is happening in Kenya than what is happening in Côte d'Ivoire, even though Kenya is further away. And vice versa: Ivorians know more about what's going on in far-off Cameroon than they do in nearby Ghana.
You are contradicting yourself when you say foreign language is separating us yet pointing out how someone in west Africa knows more about east Africa than his neighbors - the reason that’s even possible is due to the foreign language that some of you born overseas complain about. Same, and I totally agree. We get to see the grandure of other places while ignoring their woes, but Africa always gest shown in reverse. This is so refreshing
We need to showcase our African reality to the African diaspora. The rest of the world 9read "west") knows all this but has used most of their resources distortion the reality and projecting poverty, disease, misery, lack. It is as if African film makers were to focus their works and films only on San Fransisco and then say "this is what the west looks like." But we should speak to each other without alien mediators.
Thank you for this tour of the Ivory Coast! I am Jamaican living in the USA. Keep opening people's eyes to the real Africa, so that those telling black people of African descent to "Go back to Africa" is not an insult to us.
Abidjan had always been ahead of all of West Africa from the beginning. They are civilized people and have been fortunate to have leadership that has always prioritized development. From your Sierra Leone Neighbor.
God bless Ivory Coast it’s Presidency and it’s beautiful people. Love from South Africa. Very impressive clean and progressive. I would love to visit someday. Your grand Church is a symbol of your blessings ❤❤

I’m African American and as every day that pass I find myself loving Africa more and more! That’s where my ancestors are from and I have a growing desire to come home! Be around, show love and get love from my people! I find myself watching videos about African cultures and people and loving it. America has been lying to us our whole lives over here about Africa! 🤦♂️
I was in Abidjan just last week, the people there are very friendly even though I wasn’t a French speaking person,I was able to communicate with them and even got some friends. They have beautiful infrastructures . I really enjoyed my stay
Not true about Ewe and Ga. If you find them there, they are immigrants. But we have Fanti fishermen who have settled and mixed with local non-Akan populations on the Ivorian coasts for centuries. But as far as Akan groups, Ivory Coast also have Brong (called Abron there), Aowin (called Agni there), Nzima(called Apollo there). We also have Akan groups that are only in Ivory and not in Ghana, like the Baoulé, the Attié, the Abouré, the Abidji.
You will be the most welcomed to my country Côte d'Ivoire. You can come here to visit and also look for opportunities to link business between South Africa and Côte d'Ivoire.
Ivory Coast remains by far one of my favorite African destinations. It is home away from home. Friendly and hospitable people. My 3yrs in the country remains indelible. Of course, i'd visit again, and again, and again.
I am Dominican.🙏🏾 And I don't miss any of these videos I'm still at the University and I'm waiting to finish it to go live in some country in Africa and start there ❤. Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda, Ghana, etc... Hopefully the Indigenous people who have emigrated to other countries can return with their preparations and contribute to Africa and make it bigger and Sovereign, that the wars between the diaspora end and that the True African Union is born. I love Africa, and all the diaspora. Hopefully and never get married, but with an African sister. 🤗🙃 My English is not very good.👀

Your English is a thousand times better than the native English speakers in England. Because it’s their mother tongue, they don’t care much about grammar etc. People are careless about their mother tongue. Every country has the same problem. 🎉🎉😂😂 you’re very good in your English writing.😂😂
I am a Kenyan who has always kept my eyes on Cote D' Ivoire from childhood in the 80's. I used to watch a TV program called URTNA and it used to feature various African countries and Cote D' Ivoire wowed me with the beauty of the people, culture, fashion and music. .
Another fan of URTNA here 🇬🇭 made me love east Africa in the early 90's with their programme. It was the only programme that brought a lot of Africans to know much about each other. Sad it's no more...
The Ghanaian brothers said they enjoy being in Côte D'Ivoire than Ghana. This is the Africa I love. Look for where you are Happy and stay there. Am in Dubai now, a Cameroonian and will settle in Côte D'Ivoire. I dey road di come😊

Wow this looks nice!! Being born in America and living here my whole life, they have never showed us anything close to Africa being built up like this and other places you show us... I believe it's time for the diaspora to come home and help build so we won't have to ask any other countries for help... We can do it ourselves!! 💪🏽🤴🏽👍🏽✊🏽
That is the way it must be. Only black people and other honest men and businessmen will genunely build our Africa and enjoy it. Because no matter what anybody says or thinks, this is the place given to us Blacks by the creator. Our true happiness can never be found anywhere else but only here in Africa.

You'll probably hit them back by saying,"give me reparations now and I'll leave..❤❤❤ Love and Respect to you from Papua New Guinea, bro.

The rest of the world 9read "west") knows all this but has used most of their resources distortion the reality and projecting poverty, disease, misery, lack. It is as if African film makers were to focus their works and films only on San Fransisco and then say "this is what the west looks like." But we should speak to each other without alien mediators.
We in the csribbean were blind folded about Africa.
People that are born in Abidjan raise your hands 🙌🏽….I’m Nigerian/Ivoirien … J’aime la Côté d’ivoire….Maya u didn’t show my district called Adjame 220

Thank you for this tour of the Ivory Coast! I am Jamaican living in the USA. Keep opening people's eyes to the real Africa, so that those telling black people of African descent to "Go back to Africa" is not an insult to us.
We will go and develop it together for us
This means so much! Thanks

Africa is rising and beautiful. Come back and invest in your motherland!!
Jamaicans I met in Canada asked me if I swam to get there lol

Yeah the Ghanaian government are taking naps on he's job. This is what you get when you build a country on codes and abide by the rules
Now you knw. We got roads, 24 hrs electricity. Our current government is trying to do their best to become number one in Africa.
As a Ghanaian that was born in Bingerville and grew up both in Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire, it's amazing how Cote D'Ivoire was so ahead of Ghana.
Abidjan had always been ahead of all of West Africa from the beginning. They are civilized people and have been fortunate to have leadership that has always prioritized development. From your Sierra Leone Neighbor.
Yes.. Abidjan is the most beautiful city in West Africa hands down
Seeing this , WODE MAYA really deserve 3 million subscribers by the end of 2023.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I was in Abidjan just last week, the people there are very friendly even though I wasn’t a French speaking person,I was able to communicate with them and even got some friends. They have beautiful infrastructures . I really enjoyed my stay
Côte d’Ivoire is a very beautiful country 😊 I was born there but grew up in Togo 🇹🇬 and I wish to return one day ✌️.
I'm south African and I would definitely love to visit Côté d'Ivoire❤
Great we waiting for you in Côte d'Ivoire, i like too south africans

You will be the most welcomed to my country Côte d'Ivoire. You can come here to visit and also look for opportunities to link business between South Africa and Côte d'Ivoire.

You're good bro
Your English is a thousand times better than the native English speakers in England. Because it’s their mother tongue, they don’t care much about grammar etc. People are careless about their mother tongue. Every country has the same problem. 🎉🎉😂😂 you’re very good in your English writing.😂😂
soy dominicano y al igual me interesa bastante conocer ese lado del mundo, saludos😃

It’s probably best to keep Africa out of sight and out of mind so it can continue to prosper.

Africa is beautiful 🤩 I was born there but I never grew up there
And I will never forget where I coming from let’s go my Africa people❤💪🏾🙏🏾

Thank you, Maya! I watched this with my husband and children. The land is beautiful, the people are wonderful , Cote D'ivoir is amazing. Love from 🇳🇬
Thank you I am from the ivory Coast also, right now living in Johannesburg for decade for business reasons
Don’t forget, Ivory Coast was seen to Ghanaians as Our Abroad. So am not surprised at all!
Wow this is beautiful ❤
Next time I come in Kenya I call you if you want. We will meet and organize your stay in Abidjan.
Yeeees!! URTNA🎉. Watched that when growing up
Yes URTNA, I liked it too,😂 it was shown on GTV,it was the only tv station then 😂😂😂 so we had no option than to watch it

That is the way it must be. Only black people and other honest men and businessmen will genunely build our Africa and enjoy it. Because no matter what anybody says or thinks, this is the place given to us Blacks by the creator.

I was in Abidjan a year ago and I must say that I was so impressed by the development in the country. The roads are impressive, public transport and taxi system is spot on, and the sky line in plateau makes the city awesome. Africa would rise🎉
