have been playing golf for a long time. youtube served your channel up to me a day or so ago. took your ideas to the range tonight. clearly you must be a genius. the left shoulder, the circle, 70% of my weight on my left side and set shoulders closed. took me a bit of time to get used to NOT turning my shoulders, staying still and just letting my swing happen. was pumping them out there as far as I ever have. was soooo much easier not thinking about all the crap that I have heard my whole life about what to do. you have simplified the golf swing down to its most basic and essential elements. I think the golf teaching industry is like just about ever other service industry...it's all about billable hours. the more they can keep someone coming back the better for them. so ignorance is on their side. the last thing they want to do is help someone in a lesson or two.
if I ever get out to palm springs I will look you up. would love to thank you in person. that desert set up of yours looks like it is right up my alley. no frills. love it! thanks again!

I have practice sessions like this, nice and relaxed.
Only trouble is on the course, I might blade one and it throws the confidence out!

@@Mogsey1972 you blade it because your weight is not on your lead foot enough.

Dang Jim. Looking good out there on those chips. I’m afraid of my 60 degree wedge.

Thank you. Don’t be afraid, work your way up to the 60. It’s a great tool.

hi Jim, great video. I like these long sessions with you. I also love training this way. However, I've heard and read that it's not helpful to always practice the same distance from the same position with the same club, as it's not realistic. On the other hand, I understand that it's great to master a specific shot from a certain distance and be able to consistently lay it there, rather than having a somewhat confusing mix of different lengths with different clubs in your mind. What's your opinion on this?

Jim you mention at 3:40 mark that you are a little open to the target line. Is this right? You typically ask for a closed pivoted stance for long game. Just making sure I heard and understood correctly. Thanks for the videos!

Nice touch. That's something that takes lot of balls and time to develop. But half the fun is getting there. The fun is in the improvement. ❤️
What type of camera and mic rig do you have set up. Really appreciate the 2 separate views. I wanna do something similar but for shooting baskets.
    Thanks 😊
