    2 1/2years ago my handicap was 36. I live in Australia but did Jims course and my handicap is 11.
    Not sure how many 65 year olds can acheive this in such a short time. It hasnt been easy as Im still a very bad putter but many days I have been on every green in regulation. I practice heaps and set up exactly like Jim in this video and only think of keeping weight on my left foot throughout the swing. If I didnt do his course I recon my handicap would be about 32!

    Hey Jim, been watching you for a few years now. Love your simplicity to the swing path. When your beginning your backswing do you open the face as you go up or keep it as squared as possible then sling it with your lead arm/shoulder?

    Started with your swing ten days ago and am really happy: my irons - especially the short ones - are so much better than before. Of course I have to work on it but I already feel now after a short time that this is "my swing". So thank you. But one thing is crazy: since I started swinging your way my Driver does not work anymore. I tried it your way - no chance. And when I try to do the conventional Driver swing which was not to bad earlier I also get an incredible result. What do I wrong? Help ... Thanks, and best regards from Germany - Frank

    Can you tell us where your ball position is for driver off the tee if your goal is a tight draw towards the middle of fairway? In the video, it appears that your ball is center to back of your stance (but that maybe due to camera angle). Thanks

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      There are many golfers who have played at the highest level with swings that have extra moving parts. Those players are great enough to manage those extra moving parts but the avid golfer is not which is why I offer a simpler technique.

      @@johnzoppi8913 I keep 70% or more of my weight to my lead side throughout the swing. V1 did a study on tour pros and found that they keep more weight to their lead side than was realized and across the board, they keep more than 50% of their weight on their lead foot. Just because their bodies are moving it doesn’t mean that their weight is shifting. At the top of the backswing you will commonly see a lean to the lead side.

    In your final setup for off the deck, you definitely looked square to the target line at address. Your preshot explanation was more closed, but either way, I'm seeing whats happening here with the stillness aspect of the swing. When I'm not still, my trail shoulder turns OUT towards the ball...every time...

    Why can you adjust your pitching wedge distance yard by yard but not your driver?

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Seriously? Ok…many reasons; irons are more versatile clubs than woods and hybrids, woods are meant to be hit w full swings and w your max clubhead speed, my driver is an x stiff shaft so if I make a half swing it won’t perform properly, my driver has 6.75 deg of loft, drivers are typically played off of a tee and finally if you want to hit driver from 35 yds off the green…have at it.

    Your the master but I must disagree with the driver. It's posted on the tee to INSURE you hit up on the ball. Hitting up provides 'OVERSPIN' to the ball which delivers roll for max distance when it hits the ground. Love your swing concepts!

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Incorrect friend. Hitting up is to reduce back spin not to create overspin. If you have overspin you’ve topped it.
      My swing already produces low spin so we don’t need to hit up on the ball which allows me to play with a lower trajectory and have more control over the ball.
