What a treat to watch my coach in action. More of these pls.
🙏
Really enjoyed this. Lots of stuff to learn. Thanks😊
@@arnevidarpedersen1198 thx for watching! I’ll do more of these 🙏
Maybe The best on course video I have ever seen!
I really like watching someone doing all their shots while explaining their strategy. Thanks
This felt very real and authentic.
It would’ve been so easy re-record those few putts that just barely missed, and we’d be none the wiser.
I’d love to see more videos of you playing, very enjoyable.
🙏
Great video to show the whole process in action! Thanks for sharing this young fella. Also Jeffrey Dean Morgan is looking for a new stunt double so maybe a side gig?
Love this video 10000000000 percent. We get to see his swing theory in action. He talks through club selections, lies putting. All of it coming together. How to focus on stillness and Living with the result move on. The yardage card just blows me away... This is best JV golf video ever.. Yes his other videos are great, but its mostly theory and a couple shots. I get it no one wants to just watch someone hit balls.. This gives a very solid course management plan I have seen to date on youtube, and its with his swing method, which for me is my reset method when it all goes bad... Now I have a solid plan with setup and execution for a whole round..Seeing now Im way off on my swing speed and yardages because of the card. The only thing I wish, he could play all 20 million courses in the world and I could have him caddie in my ear each shot... Keep it up! Love it!!
Only thing to make the next one better is yes hit into bunkers up and down and how we deal with out of bounds management.. Not saying you have to loose a ball on purpose, but say hey so you didnt listen, got quick, here is what I see..
🙏👊 I’ll do me best to make it happen
Just being greedy. Seriously awesome video.. Hope it goes huge. You know your method works, and to all of those that think your method makes them shorter, that yardage card gives a SOLID option. Yes I can hit a 7iron 190 200.. but at like a 9-10.. It's a prayer session on where it goes.. now I can just golf my ball and not play golf swing, just golf the ball by the card. Move on.. Now I gotta find a big enough note card for my eyes! Stay smooth as you always are and I'll try and focus more on stillness and using the card. I'll update my progress.. Thanks again for the video!!
Loved the save on #3! Watched this twice already! Love this ❤
🙏
Excellent video. Most entertaining and instructional.
What a cool 😎 nine hole.
Thanks for letting us in your thoughts!!
love the video jim. really getting content out there that your pupils want!!!!!! mr smooth !!!!
Loved seeing the swing on course and hearing your thought process for shots.
🙏
love these !
love these.
Keep these videos coming!
This was great!
Great stuff Jim!
Great video again coach
Loved the club selection tips. It open my eyes to not be so single-minded on my choices.
Great content
THIS was a treat! More of these please, Jim!
enjoyed this format👍🏻
So much gold in this video. Love it! Thanks, Jim
Nice playing! Really enjoyed watching you manage the course!
👊
thanks Jim, that was 😎
Loved watching you play. Thanks
Playing in the moment is a difficult mind game one must learn. 😂😂 Reminds me of a Bruce Lee saying, "Take things as they are. Punch when you have to punch. Kick when you have to kick." 😂
All we get is this moment. I learned this after 11 and a half minutes of cardiac arrest. What came before is not important and the future may never get here.
Loved this! Really boosted my enthusiasm for the JV swing, More on course will be appreciated.
Cool on-course video! Thanks JV!
We need more of these, great video!
Will do 🙏
This on course content is the best. Looking forward to more.
Very helpful. Good video. And in Chucks too. Amazing.
Great strategy coaching. This is fun. Do some more of these. Thanks
Nice 9 Jim. Mostly non-stress. The book that, can’t remember his name wrote, Golf is not a Game of Perfect, is what all of us play. Your attitude about every shot will have a huge effect on your score. You can’t let any shot, bad or good, affect your attitude. Every shot has to be segregated from the next. Really enjoyed you talking us through the thought process. I learned a lot. Thank you. Would love more of this type of video.
Bob Rotella was the author
🙏
I love watching your interpretation of the course.
I love your approach to the game - so fun and inspiring. Thx so much for making these videos :-)
As a Pennsylvania resident, that tract reminds me of some of the courses in my area. Beautiful course and great talking us though your game. LOVE the vid, tx!!
Great to observe the mental approach of an excellent player at work.
🙏
Hey Jim, I've been watching your stuff for a few weeks now. I was tearing my back up trying to do it the old way and I stumbled onto your videos and now I am in way better shape pain wise. I took four shots off my score in just a few days. My shot is still a fade though.
I’m glad the stress is less for you
Swing is smooth as silk, and effortless!
What a nice thing to say, thank you 🙏
4:35, man that yardage card is GOLD, especially with the wind and knowing that long on 1 is totally dead. I need to recommit to developing a yardage card for me, ¼, ½, ¾, full to start. Nice, Jim!
You’re speaking the truth
@@jimvenetosgolf The problem is, it's very hard to know all of your distances using driving range balls. That's one thing all teaching pros preach " know your distances". However, since the average guy only gets to practice with limited distance range balls, that's hard. What's the solution, Obi Wan?
@@leonardhandzlik6008 Rent time on a Trackman or GC quad. You can do this at a PGA Superstore or similar retailer. Bring your own balls. It'll take a while to develop it but it's something to get you started.
Great stuff Jim. Well planned strategy and smooth swing. It’s so encouraging to see a Pro Stand by his own method with proven results.
You’re too kind 🙏
Very, very nice course....the kind I like, tee lined and somewhat narrow. Greens need some speed. You need a mid loft hybrid for those iffy lies in the rough. Nice to see you play. Thanks!
Jim it’s great to see you play thanks for doing these videos. I play with a set of Wilson FG55 staff tour blades which have traditional lofts and I’m having an awful time hitting them so high ! Any idea what I’m doing wrong ?
Thanks Jim love to watch you play you make it look easy .
I loved it when he made that bomb to save par, particular after the recent videos on putting and him saying how much he dislikes putting 🙂
@@pensfan718766 lol 🙏👊
I have only one hole in one to my credit. Done on a 194 yard par 3 with a four iron and a perfectly executed JV golf swing!
👊
Just makes me want to go and play another round of golf
JV. I got more out of this video than most all of the rest. And I have watched them all. Especially set-up and feet position on various shots. Even par on a tight course wearing Chuck Taylor All-Star fisheads and corduroy slacks. More stuff like this. Maybe a match with your best student?
Awesome…..nice to know you’re here🤗🤗
👊
Great production on this video, sound, music, etc. My question to you is your sneaks, Do they slide in wet conditions? Or are you playing like you did in Cali when it "never rained in southern California". Thanks and well done.
Thank you Jim for using the term “Pin position” instead of “Hole location” which I hate. If I’m playing the 3rd hole, I know the hole location because it’s the hole I’m currently playing
lol 😂
That’ll do
Can you explain more about yardage card, how to make them
I’ll make you a video
wow Jim, you travel a lot to golf... I guess that's the closest we'll be from each other... I am from Quebec, Canada) next to Maine... come play in Canada, you'll save 25% in currency and we have nice golf courses as well ! I like your videos.
I don't know how you guys break up a swing in 10th's..best I can do is in 5th's...20,40%,etcetc.
Thanks for the vlog...
Where’d you get those pants Jim? Super stylish!
What are you doing in our neck of the woods???
Nice to see you🤗🤗🤗🤗

I’m on Wolfeboro….what town are you from??? Are you here for a while??

Always thought you had a California vibe…🤗

Your set up looks a little different on this 9 holes, you appear to be squaring your shoulders a bit more to target line at address, while still presetting stance and hips closed. It could be where the camera was situated however it definitely doesn't look like your shoulders aren't preset to the same angle as your hips. Is this intentional?
I've implemented your theory into my game and it has made my striking much better through the bag, still have a few loose shots but I understand almost immediately what I've done on those poor shots - common flaws for me are swinging too hard which sometimes includes early extension or letting that lead shoulder fly which results in pulls. When I play in control and around 80% swing effort I play my best. I'm 52 and am currently a 6.2 index, thanks for posting your content.
Same set up. I’m just as closed as all the videos I do on my mat. It’s just the orientation of my target that makes it appear that I’m less closed
Solid contact every time. No real mishits on short game and making every short put. What I'd do to get to just hitting it solid say 70% of the time. I noticed your open stance for putting and it looks like toe up at setup. Is that a comfort thing or something you teach?
Good stuff. What is Jims technique for a fade since he always seems set up closed and swings to.1 Oclock?
It’s an advanced skill that should only be attempted after you develop the consistent tight draw, but it’s actually quite simple once you do develop a consistent tight draw. You make the same swinging and you hold the club face open through impact, the ball will start on the same line, but it will fall as a fade
@@jimvenetosgolf thanks Jim.
So Jim, most of your videos seem to be in the Southwestern desert, and now you are in Maine playing a course that " you will play better when you play it more". Have you relocated to Maine? Or are you just trying to get away from the desert heat?
I teach half of the year in so cal and half in Maine. Been doing that for many years. 👊
@@jimvenetosgolf Gotcha. Good time of year for Maine.
What length is your driver? Looks a bit shorter than the prevalent 45-45.5"
45”
Played with your swing today and have been for a little while with great success. Kinda lost it today. Are you pushing off of your right foot as you press your hips forward?
Negative. I’m pivoting on to my lead foot. Trail foot is empty.
@@jimvenetosgolf thank you. that helps. I expect a better round tomorrow. wasn't bad today,,,,just not as good as had been. love your swing mechanics. nothing like stillness and only thinking about contact and not the back swing..
Just curious on your choice of shoes. I know you preach stillness but wow... not even spikeless golf shoes? Do you wear golf shows if there is dew on the ground? If so, which ones?
I don’t find spikes necessary unless I play in the rain which I don’t do anymore.
Sorry no. Too friggin crazy on our big lake
👍
Are you here teaching?
