    Would you say a Harley Motorcycle be safe in that hotel Parking lot? I would like to ride over from U.S. and stay a few days.. Cheers from Las Vegas.

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've sure seen Harley's in Baja. Many people ride down the coast to Ensenada, etc... I'm not one of these guys that thinks every car entering Mexico will get stolen. If you're going to ride down the coast, etc.. many of us use Baja Bound for a Mexican insurance policy.
      The lot has security but it is outside. I saw some expensive Ducati's decked out for a 1000 mile trek, parked near the lobby. I'd guess a $10 tip would get you that spot right near the front door. I'd guess that's what these guys did.
      The other choice would be to park on the US side and walk the 1 mile to Pueblo Amigo. Most of the lots are for 8 or 10 hours, but I'm sure they will work something reasonable out. The Gateway parking (it's next to the Jack N Box) has 24 hour attendant. I'd guess for a small tip, you could park the bike within feet of his little tent area. Who know the 50(?) bucks to park, might be the same cost as the Mexican Insurance.
      Sorry for the wishy washy answer. I'd lean towards not leaving a nice Harley sitting around in Tijuana. But, many people do. The drive in is no problem. Unless you head back at midnight, you better be comfortable when you drive back across the border dealing with that traffic.
      I understand that sitting on a bike for an hour plus is crazy, so I have no problem with the lane splitting at the border line. Other people like to honk and even play games. Act like there turning into you, etc.. Then again my buddy Julio who lived in TJ and worked with me in San Diego, did it everyday.

    We just booked a stay for an early flight to La Paz. What's the easiest way to get from the San Diego Airport to Ped East? Love your videos! Especially the ones from the Baja California Sur

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Mike. The easiest way is an Uber or Lyft. Check each but Lyft is usually cheaper. Around $40. If they make good time, about 30 minutes. You can take the bus to downtown train station. Santa Fe Depot then take the Blue line to San Ysidro. Maybe 1.5 hours and $4.
      Once you cross you can try an Uber. Hit or miss for me. I usually gets away from the border area and walk to Pueblo Amigo Hotel. I was cancelled twice last time I headed to TJ airport. But it'll cost about $4. You can try and slip the hotel shuttle bus a $10 tip. Ill bet that might be worth an airport run. Cabs as you cross into Mexico will want $20.
      Have a great trip. La Paz is awesome. I can't see everyone who subscribes. If you haven't, that really helps my small hobby. Thanks again. Later. Joe

      One other thing, if your checking a bag. I rolled in around 8am with a backpack only. The counter line looked to be at least 45 minutes. So don't cut it close. No real advice fir La Paz airport. I always get a car in Cabo and drive the 100 miles over. If you get a car, really nice freeway between La Paz and Cabo. Go towards Todos Santos not the old road through the mountains. Just watch the speeding. Federals patrol like highway patrol in Ca

Its easy. 10 minute walk to Pueblo Amigo. Have your girl take an Uber for $5 to hotel. Or they have a free shuttle from hotel. For a nice tip, maybe 10 bucks? 200 pesos. Ill bet hell take you too get her. Also get a few hundred in pesos near the McDonald's by the border. You'll save a few bucks in Tijuana. You can also exchange cash in TJ. Clean bills only. Sometimes hundreds pay slightly more.

    Are you not a fan of the Cross Border Express? Or is it easier walking across and taking a cab to the airport?

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used it. It can get a little pricey. If you're driving into San Diego, it's not a bad place to park and cross. For me it's easier to get to San Ysidro. Then it's a $5 Uber to the airport
