Rip, the 4th generation was my childhood, even my first repair sorta, wasn’t a success but first time with the internals of a small device which means a lot as a certified tech for a few of the top brands.
the iPod touch 4th Gen is an extremely tough device to repair. A+ for effort

The main reasons are the low amount of sells and music streaming. Everyone has Spotify, TH-cam Music etc. on their device. The iPod touch is just being a phone with worse specs these days.

I absolutely love my iPod 5th Gen classic. Still adding music to this day on it. Great for walks no distractions just me and my music. The iPod touch was great. I remember getting the iPod mini (blue) for my birthday one year. I used to use Limewire to get all my music!!!

I still have an Ipod 6 I found in a school bus years ago when I was in HS, I tried desperatly to find the owner back but never found him / her, it didn't help to ask around who lost their $400 device, of course suddenly everyone lost theirs. It's Icloud locked so I can't do anything with it, I've always wanted to change the logic board on it to make it work again, at this point, I've lost hope of finding the owner back lmao

I didn't know those things existed until I saw this video. I never owned a stand alone mp3 player. Now that I'm retired can I enjoy my music at home, but I used to take a Walkman when I commuted to work on the BART train. I bought a Sony Walkman about a month after they came out in late 1979. I still remember thinking how cool they were. I'm basically walking around with a stereo in my pocket. That was a pretty radical notion in those days.
