Well it started again, but I just cleared it again. I’m sure there’s another setting I can do to make it more permanent or something. Haven’t looked at it anymore.
Cleaned the MAP, replaced the exhaust pressure sensor, engine temperature sensor and new plugs. My 10R80 tranny is now slick as silk. I got 65K on this 2018 F150 with a 2.7 and it runs like new and again back to 32 MPG on the highway. BTW, great video, good info.

Interesting too, I was at my local stealership this week talking with the service manager and he said ford released a new TCM update this week and that they have been instructed to start flashing this update, however he said he wasn't holding his breath that its going to be the big fix everyone wants. just bought a 2017 f250 super duty 6.2 liter 6 speed tran. 62,000 plus miles. No issues until we left on a 700 mile trip and now it jerks between 6 and 5 some times. Hope Forscan can take care of this when I get home. Already bought the cable but have not tried it yet. Cable is at home, bummer. Thanks for the video hope it works. Planning on buying an RV while here. Hope the towing doesnt mess things up.
@@datboymike806bme I downloaded the program and did what the video said. You have to purchase a cable to connect from your computer to your vehicle. It was well worth it.
My 10r80 in my 2019 expedition does not like the 19 degree weather here in Michigan got 60,000 getting ready to do a filter drop did a drain and refill at 30,000 it's not acting up definitely getting ready to try to do a reset with the forscan
When I go to the Cobb website, I only see devices labeled for the f150 Raptor....will those also work on a 2021 F150 XLT? I don't always get rough shifts, but I'm starting to between 3-4 and 4-5 with just over 17k miles. I don't want to trade this thing, but good grief this is annoying.
I’ve added nav to my old 2016 explorer years ago. And been looking at the code in my 2019 F150. I think there’s line to dis able the auto learn. Maybe that’s what’s ford will do on a TSB. But the AL was for clutch wear too.

Forscan has a new update that allows you to completely turn off adaptive learning instead of just clearing the tables. I was wondering if you have tried this option yet? Also, silly question to ask, will Ford void your warranty with messing around with foreskin on your vehicle? I really want to try this turning it off completely option cuz I've seen other people post about it saying completely solves the issue. Also, after clearing your transmission, have you had to re-clear it or is it a one-time thing?
I found that leaving the truck in drive and not manually shifting the gears. In sport mode my truck is hanging in the lower gears and doesnt want to shift.
I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet, but you can also tell the TCM to stop learning after you reset it, and then you should never have this issue again!
My F150 definitely has the downshifting jerk. What's worse is that it jerks the truck forward when I'm trying to slow down. My truck has never been tuned.
be aware... I tried this, and my gearbox is still jerky in 4th, 7th and 10th gear... Straight after reset, so if you feel anything on your truck, it can also be hardware, not just the software. My hardware was rebuild 2 months ago (10k miles since), as the maintenance of 5 months ago started the harsh shifting. After 1k miles my gearbox oil was black altho it never overheated. Now I'm making my next appointments for the post rebuild as it is still miss shifting in those particular gears. my biggest question is, there is an software update available from the 22+ gen 10R80 gearboxes. As 22+ models shouldn't be skipping gears anymore, how do we do this update (without the help of ford)
Does the forscan fix remove old tunes? Wondering if those that have Cobb, roush or Shelby tunes will have to retune their vehicles after doing the reset?
ford escape 2015 se 1.6, 6F35 transmission; at 65000km mileage it started to shift hard 1-2 when stepping light on gas; did twice atf simple drain and fill but still shifts hard 1-2; but after I cleared transmission adaptive table with forscan, shifts were noticeably smoother and the hard shifting 1-2 disappeared.
At 75k now and it’s been fine since the last fix. Someone commented that forscan can turn off transmission learning now. Haven’t looked into that yet but I will if the transmission starts acting up again.

I don’t know about answers but there’s probably a few things to check. Get under the truck and see if any of the u joints on the driveshaft are bad. Also try draining and refilling the diff and see if any metal shavings come out. If it’s not either of those or the transmission tables it’s probably something internal in the transmission

Give forscan a shot, cap’n. You have the same transmission so I’d wager you have the same problem. Worst case it’s $50 to figure out if it’s the transmission or you.

Any thoughts on whether Forscan might apply?
My trucks doing this as well.. but what about the guy who talked to ford and sat with the master mechanic and he said in his system he had the option to turn it off completely!! Which fixed it and theoretically forever! Im planning on calling and hopefully having them do this for me for close to nothing… 😂

My 2020 f150 was shifting hard from 1 to 3, 3 to 4, and sometimes 4 to 5. This fixed the issue. Dealer wanted to charge $150 to reprogram. Thanks.

Just dropped my raptor off for harsh shifts and can phaser rattle. Hope this shit gets fixed because it’s almost underivable at this point

I’d give forscan a shot before taking it into the dealer. Can’t hurt and should work if you have the same problem

You have to disable thee adaptive driving all together. The transmission is junk im on my 3rd.

Mine is doing the same thing and the wrench turns on the dashboard. 3-4 is rough some miss shifts it’s bad

$40 or so for the obdii adapter and the program is free

Yeah, warn 10k on swarfworks hidden winch mount. Cobb intercooler. If you click on over to the “le raptor” playlist it’s all in there

I didn’t have a raspy sound but 30k is around when my problem started. It’s a low cost to try forscan so I’d give it a shot

I used My aultel Scanner To turn off Transmission adaptations altogether It doesn't learn anymore
