Well, it depends on what games you played.
And how much it's detracted from other, important work.
THEY WERE SO WRONG BECAUSE SOCIETY IS MORE IGNORANT THAN GAMERS THEMSELVES.
My dad played games with me on Nintendo, Gameboy, computer, Old Doom, Duke Nukem, some of my oldest memories are watching him game. I'm 40 now and we still play Xbox, mostly stuff like Halo, Borderlands, Remade Quake 1 and 2, he's even played ME series.

This is one of the first themes you hear in the game. I remember it playing right before the first mission on Eden Prime when I was first introduced to the awe-inspiring world of Mass Effect.
Oh that classic Mass Effect 1 immersion!!! I love it!
Character animation was really good in this game for its time.

The voice acting was waaayy too good. I thought this was the standard for a long time. Needless to say, I was disappointed a lot

I always intensify my eyebrows and slow jog through the house and sorta stare off at nothing to this.
that's a good move, I usually just put random elevators in slow mode and ride them up and down for a couple of minutes
I just stand in a corner staring intensely at the wall like I've left the controller on the couch.
I was driving in the car with my mother, this video was playing on the radio. Mom said that the music seemed to be calm, but it caused anxiety, as if it foreshadowed something terrible. She knew nothing about Mass Effect and the Reapers. The composer is a GENIUS, so he can convey the entire plot of the game in short music.
Always loved this track. Perfect placement and sci-fi feel. Makes me feel like I’m right back at home in the Normandy.
The Mass Effect trilogy contains some of the best music and ambience in any game series in history. Just impeccable.
Playing ME2 now right after finishing ME1 and definitely miss this playing while on the Normandy.

I just wanted to share something with you. Thanks a bunch for these ambience tracks. They helped me tremendously during my finals. I have a master's degree now, and it's hugely thanks to these ambience tracks. I just played this one + Normandy engineering deck and it made me feel like I was doing some sort of logistics for next Shepard's mission. Anyways, thanks again and take care.

The music playing when I'm browsing the map with where I'm going to order food from.
I was very happy to find this, and genuinely appreciate you posting it. This particular theme isn't very popular for some reason, and most of the version online are of somewhat low quality for one reason or another.
And never come with perfectly looped animations like your videos do.
I still remember when I finally got to play Mass Effect 2- the introduction cutscene RIGHT when this music kicks in again on the SR-1 I got actual nostalgia chills. Before it gets thoroughly eviscerated but that's beside the point.

I loved this theme because made me feel that space opera ambient. It helps the role-playing. Also sounds mysterious just like the whole game is. We don't really know at this point what is happening, why is Saren screwing us over, or what the reapers want. this game is the best opening and is very much appreciated that they created a big galaxy history and characters to tell a story.
It makes the game feel more immersive. The other games became less engaging because Bioware narrowed the level design and because they had fewer tracks such as this, probably to make the series faster-paced and more action-oriented.
Had to come back to this beauty! One of my favorites out of all the OSTs ever!

Commander Shepard, something uncomfortable has just come up. During the First Contact War we fired a lot of espionage probes into Turian space. We just received a mission complete burst from one of them.
This is why I never made a speed run of this game, the ambience between missions always hypnotizes me into accidental naps 🤭 thanks for bringing it when I need it for a change, I'm going to bed..!

Yeah I'll for sure do a lot on the Citadel including the dock, just not exactly sure when I'll get to it.

I don't get why they removed this track (as well as others) from ME2 and ME3. Hearing nothing but ambient engine rumbling in the background really lowered in the immersiveness and excitement from the trilogy.
Even tho I played ME1 this year I still feel sense of nostalgia listening to this.

I took it off once and switched it back immediately. All the character models looked like plastic GI Joe action figures. When games are done right they can easily get away with sub par graphics
One of my favorite themes from the game, and the whole soundtrack from ME 1 is the best in my opinion, and still Mass Effect 1 is my favorite in the series.

Ah man, it felt good running around in the original Normandy after not having played ME1 for many, many years. I have played the second one probably the most I have out of any game, and the third one many times as well. I do hate that slow ass elevator though.

Tbh I have no idea why they didn’t bring this back for the Alliance version of the Normandy in ME3. I hated the Normandy in that game. I swear it seemed like there was a total of about 8 people working on it. Lonely and dull. Music would have made it a much better atmosphere.
Yeah it does feel a lot smaller in ME 3. Even though I would get totally lost on the Normandy in ME 1 I much prefer it compared to the other two games.

I keep hearing a distinct series of beeps and boops from a game called Tribes 2 and I can't hear it in the Ambience only version of the Normandy CIC. Did you add that yourself or is this a pure capture from ME? I played a demo of Tribes I think from PC Gamer back in the day lol. But nope, this is all from Mass Effect. Never added anything extra. Not sure the exact location I recorded the audio in that room, probably near some terminal or something.

Parts of the ME soundtrack sound similar to the original Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack. I wonder if it was inspired by the movie's soundtrack.

Played me1 for the first time last year one of the first rpg genre games ive played……on le never played the games prior couldnt get this out of my head playing the game finished me3 2 days ago
Trilogy overall 8/10
Me1 8/10 sure the plot is a bit basic but the twist of the cycle was amazing saren was great
Me2: 7/10 very cookie cutter in its get a team assembled for a villain also being forced to work for your enemy (kina like the movie suicide squad) more a stepping stone for the third game
Me3: 9/10 loved this game only reason its not 10/10 it felt short imo and also the ending was a bit anti climactic also its on me cuz i kinda goofed up in the order i did misisons lol gonna replay the trilogy but overall it just is so surprising they made andromeda (which i wont play cuz i hear its bad and has nothing to do with the trilogy) yet didnt make me4 cuz shepards alive in the secret ending
Overall: will replay all 3 overall as a trilogy really damn good. Must reccomend it to anyone tryna get in the rpg genre.
