I didn't discover this trilogy until 2013. I was in a really low place in my life and was contemplating suicide. I don't know what it was about this series, but it pulled me back. Now I'm a good place in my life. Thanks Mass Effect crew. "Until your friend picks you up, dusts you off, and tells you you're the best damn soldier he's ever met."
I always imagine going to space for the first time is like a cold relaxing shower, nothing matters, past trauma, broken heart, regrets, mistakes, for a brief moments nothing matters and you feel at peace thats what Vigil makes me feel
The most epic scene of all: -Udina: Is that the kind of person we want protecting the galaxy? -Anderson: That's the only kind of person who can protect the galaxy. Then comes the text that ends by saying: "The civilizations of galaxy call it .. MASS EFFECT" All that with the epic theme playing in the background: "The Normandy"
Yes the opening was simply amazing to me1. Well 2s opening beat it and 3 opened and no one was not affected by leaving earth. Best opening in any game ever.
Noticing this conversation was between Udina, Hacket and Anderson only makes me realize something : Nihlus is not in the vocal. Yet he was the one to put Shepard's name forward. Meaning the call Udina speaks about is actually to Nihlus. Probably for insuring peace between Turians and Humans, Nihlus actually contacted the Alliance asking for their best candidate to be a spectre. What a bro !
Mass Effect is so good that it needs to be remastered every 8-10 years or so to make sure it is up to date with newer technologies and so we can pass it down to next generations 😎

I'm a new fan that played through the series after the Legendary edition release. I've got to say everything from the characters, the plot and the vast amounts of lore has me head over heals for this series. The music does such a good job of drawing you in and the world building always leaves you wanting more. I know its a long shot, but I hope we get to see a return to the Shepard story someday, but hey isn't that what this series is about: hope?
Same here. Couldn’t get into ME1 cause it’s so old, but I really liked ME2, and ME3 just blew me away. I’m already a diehard fan and can’t wait for the next game. Sounds like they’re trying to get back to their roots with the next one. I don’t think the music was anything special until ME3 though.
@@russellmxnia ME1 felt fine to me, only issue I had was the size was so massive it felt like it would take a century for me to even get it done. The amount of planets you could explore and the side missions, felt like it would take too long.
@@Horrorpleb I’m on my second playthrough of ME1 and it’s much better the second time around now that I have an appreciation for the series. And that’s how I felt about ME3, but I loved it. Late reply but there was a teaser trailer put out a few months back for ME4. Liara is in the trailer, so it is possible Shepard might make an appearance as well.
Yeah... When it plays out during the ME3 ending, I can't help but to shed a tear as I recall all the fun I've had when playing the trilogy once more... But then I realise that I can replay it again.

The Mass Effect 1 OST is the only OST of anything I have ever bought in my life. I was still in high school and lived on my own. All I had at the time was Mass Effect, and everything about it suited me perfectly at that time in my life.
I just completed the trilogy for the first time and this is now one of my favorite series of all time, the music, the characters, the story, everything is incredible. I feel like a fool for not playing the games earlier buy better late than never. I really hope Bioware makes things right with the next game.

00:17:09 Specter Induction is my favorite part of the game. The dialogue from the council decree, the bystanders gathering to watch, and this music in the background. Epic.

@@lukemchief1174 If you play all three games in order and make the right choices while importing your character across all three games, neither race has to die. You can save both. If you want to try this on your next playthrough, I recommend following your instinct and paying close attention to the consequences your choices will have, but not too much attention. What matters is doing what you think is right, even if in that moment, and in the lingering moments after, it feels wrong. Still make the hard calls. Trust your instinct, trust yourself, and you should be alright. Remember that the game isn't as black and white as paragon and renegade. Just choose what best fits your instinct in the moment. Good luck.
Ah the legendary Virmire Ride soundtrack 43:57, as you're driving alongside the coastline and beaches of Virmire battling collosi and armatures while the Normandy SR1 flies by to land and meet up with Kirrahe and his STG men. Can't believe that was 14+ years ago, but the sight is vivid as ever, especially when that theme plays. It had more of a Daft Punk feel than the whole other OST but boy did it fit well in the game.
@@kingaragornii9940 I'm not hearing it YET, but according to the track list, it's a full trilogy OST - which I know is absolutely amazing;)) there is one new track, apparently, so that's the only one I haven't heard. Your english is alright, don't worry :)
There are a ton of OSTs out that are as good or better. There is a ton of filler in MEs OST. The big name tracks are great (the ME1 theme, citadel, etc) but a lot of the other stuff is fairly average. As mainstream as it is now, O'Donnels work on Halo is legendary and was a massive trend setter, and more recently Borislav's work on Divinity Original Sin 2 is masterful. There are plenty others as well. Me's OST is good, but it has stiff competition.

@@fuster5003 Там только за композицию "I was lost without you" плакать можно)
А вообще, лучшая трилогия на данный момент, не считая светофор в конце. Стабильно перепрохожу трилогию и сейчас, уж очень все родное)
Точно
Suicide mission and Leaving Earth still give me goosebumps.
This trilogy's soundtrack is godly.
We have the same avatars, ha ... this is a twist. You rarely meet people with the same avatars.
@@m.o.r.d.o.r. Ha it seems we do. You have good taste, my Garrus loving friend.
@@juliusn.6922 Hehe, thanks. Granted, Garrus is a great friend, as well as a sniper. Josh Mass Effect 4? I don’t know if they will spoil the sequel? And what will they do with Shepard? It is not known yet, it remains to be hoped that they will make a good game, and not another failure.
Andromeda also had some good tracks, like the ending theme ("Under Stars") or the remixed map theme ("New Worlds of Heleus").

00:17:09 Specter Induction is my favorite part of the game. The dialogue from the council decree, the bystanders gathering to watch, and this music in the background. Epic.
I'm a 30 yo man, but to this day the ME soundtrack still gives me goosebumps
Age has nothing to do with it mate. The soundtrack is incredible
I’m 40. I listen to it occasionally.
I'm 68 and it never grows old.
Same, man. I'm 31. Played and beat every ME. Still get goosebumps replaying it

The music is so good and iconic, I can picture every mission, every cut scene as I listen. One of the few games where the music doesn't get turned off.

@@lukemchief1174 Nope. I made peace between the two.
Good luck.
Keelah Sa'lai friend and yes It will be good again
52:14 to make your soul transcend out of pure nostalgia
Yep that's the one I immediately skipped to!
"You did good.... I'm....proud... of you...."
"Thank you Sir. Anderson?"
Jesus that hit so hard the first time and still does...
Seeing all the little animated clips reminds me how much a ME animated series would of been awesome. May 14th can not come fast enough.
The best OST in history of everything.
The best videogame series in history of everything.
How you hearing this? It hasn't started yet, it says 11 hours...
Sorray, England not 1nd lenguage
@@kingaragornii9940 I'm not hearing it YET, but according to the track list, it's a full trilogy OST - which I know is absolutely amazing;)) there is one new track, apparently, so that's the only one I haven't heard.
Your english is alright, don't worry :)
Not the best but absolutely one of the best.
Re-hearing it, it feels like the music alone made half the game. One of the best soundtracks ever composed for sure.
can't listen to half of these songs without getting emotional in nostalgia, happiness, or sadness. this story is just incredible
Mass effect is more than a game, it's truly something to experience. Can't wait to fall in love with this beautiful series all over again on May 14th!
Музыка в Масс Эффекте неверотно атмосферная душевная и настольгичная

Mass Effect brings people together. One country - Earth. One race - humanity.
One galaxy
Except the reapers. Ever seen the size of one of those things?
Indeed. When I was seeing last titles in ME3 I thought... What's wrong with you, humanity? All this fights? For what? We are one people, ONE RACE. And we can't live in peace together? That's what you're doing, BioWare! 😍😘 Too serious thoughts in my head 😳
@@Sunny-zz4ip this is fantasy. In reality some races contribute more than others

54:10 I got goosebumps after hearing this part, that one small part of the series was probably the creepiest out of them all and made you feel so helpless against something like it. It was definitely the best anyone has ever done to make a single character seem unstoppable
The illusion man has always been one of my favorite tracks. It feels as if he is a man haunted by all the chaotic secrets of the universe and rather then being overwhelmed by them, he instead forms an order amidst their chaos. He harnesses his mysterious curses to serve his grand and personal melodic purpose.
Man I’m so freaking stoked for the remaster I can barely contain myself.
Im stoked!!! Going crazy waiting
3:03:54 - tears start droppin'
First I was like "Hey, how nice that they did this soundtrack video for us."
Then I realized it is the best marketing. Boy I got nostalgic listening to these tracks. I want to play the legendary edition so badly.
Love Theme and Reflections are beyond beautiful as romances music. Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, and the entire sound team outdid themselves on the score.
"Virgil" is a motif that sets the tone for the Mass Effect. The tracts for Virmire are also epic. Jack Wall knocked it out of the park
And when Leaving Earth hits, goosebumps it’ll be 😫 Can’t wait to play it all over again 😭
Everytime I even see a picture related to mass effect I think I get tears
