I made a sigil for self love/healing then activated it with.. self love, *cough cough*. I cried so much afterwards and let myself sit in that space, allowed myself comfort and safety. It was actually extremely helpful and the moment that I think really kickstarted my journey of being much kinder to myself.
When I was younger, I began using the rune to write note to my friends in class. That was until a teacher took one of the notes and read it. He took me on and taught me that the runes were more than just an alphabet. Over the years I have used them in divination and magick as well as writing my notes. I even have a personal combined rune that I have used since I was 16, now 48. ❤ I love sigil magick.
I am trying more and more connect with all these things that I used to do when I was a kid and I was completely free and intuitive and just like you I loved to do sigils even though I had no idea of what I was doing back then.
Sigil Magick was one of the first practices I was able to start incorporating into my craft as a closeted witchling! I find drawing sigils is really a beautiful way to allow yourself to relax, especially if you include mediation into the the practice before you start. It is ideal for broom-closeted witches! So subtle, easy but yet such a wonderful way to work some magic 🙂✨ I find it very relaxing too - especially when doing the morning meditation intuitive sigils in nature 🌱
Sigils are my favorite type of magic workings! Being a closeted green word witch, sigils are easy to quickly write on a napkin and either burned or ripped up and tossed, and I often anoint them with lavender oil. The method I use is the first you mentioned. In fact, I find the creation of sigils to be a fine meditation. Next to learn, magic poems as incantations!
Depending on the purpose of my sigil, I do enjoy drawing it on myself with henna. As always, love your videos. Was having an anxiety day, and youthful disposition really helped. Thank you x
Loved this video. Thanks. I use sigils as well. One way was when we got new flooring I painted sigils on the subfloors before the installation. I also used to have severe foot pain. So I composed a sigil to aid in this. Then when I was hiking I found an old leather shoe sole. I took it home and drew my sigil on it in with a white charcoal stick and placed it on my healing altar. These days my foot pain is almost nonexistent.
Absolutely love the idea with the sigils on the subfloor! Do you rent? Hihi in that case I would love to see the faces of the person redoing the floor in the future 😄 how wonderful that you were able to work your magick on your foot ❤️

Sigils seem like a fun and interesting way to start out with spellwork Update~ I made 2 sigils: one for fater subliminal results and one for love and beauty in my life. I designed the sub one with the sigil wheel and the other one just by using symbols I associate with those themes
make sure you’re specific about what love you want (self love, romantic, platonic) same with beauty (self beauty, beauty around you in nature, art, beautiful people/feelings)

I use a Dremel to carve my protection sigil on the back side of the little metal tag that is required here (the USA) for dogs. I also have them for my cats. Thanks for another great video!🥰🤍🌈

You are SO talented in so many ways! Your sigil bread is wonderful. I purchased dried eggwhite( powdered) at a local witchy shop and use that to put protective sigil on my doors. It's invisible after a bit, but I know it's been drawn there and active. Hugs and best wishes!

I make sigils to protect my property by painting them on rocks that I then place at the corners of my property, face down. I sometimes write them in pencil on my paper money to return to me, for prosperity magic…stir them into my hot drinks….drip them in white wax (it turns clear) on the sidewalk where people will walk over them and disperse them, or the sun will melt them…. So many ways to use sigils! I use the chaos approach of making, charging, then forgetting them….

This is perfect for me thank you. I already did my research on sigil magick. I am a baby witch I’m following the path of an art witch that wants to do dream work, sigil magick, tarot readings, maybe psychic readings, connect with my dark side. Because I feel like I am already connected to my good side. However, I feel strongly drawn to the occult, underworld, dark side of things. According to my natal chart in astrology I’m a Mercury and Pluto dominant my Pluto is in my first house, moon, Chiron, and Lilith in Scorpio on twelfth house. I feel like witchcraft, tarot, and the interesting things about the occult draws my attention and speaks to my soul. I’m good have having manners although I want to be connected to my dark side. Because everyone’s good side originates from darkness. I was thinking of someday connecting to dark goddesses, and I feel strongly and spiritually attracted by Persephone/Proserpina goddess and queen of underworld, and spring, rivers, and flowers. I wish to work with her as long I continue studying and practicing witchcraft, tarot, and magic. By the way, I’m a fine arts student I want to do mix of digital art. But then I felt so drawn to traditional art it’s more aesthetically pleasing, hand made, personalized, and pleasing than doing it with technology.

Wow I was searching for a Sigil video and I can't believe this is such a recent video and such a fantastic quality. I love the feeling of finding a gem of a TH-cam channel
I have found that drawing knots helps with concentration. They have to follow a pattern and connect. Over and under with the infinite thread. They can be really complicated and force you to figure out how to weave them together. Perhaps they could be used as sigils too. Also, I've implemented an "extraction" method with making sigils. For each letter, make another word that relates to your desire. Think of ways to strengthen it so-to-speak. Repeat the inital process of elimination and make a sigil out of the remaining letters. You will still have the initial letters with some extras! This idea came to me recently. Alchemy probably assisted in forming that idea. I thought how the letters could work in an alchemical way by extracting the most from them. Funny how you find use for this "alchemical process" in cooking as well!

Honestly i have drawn symbols in many many way I even remember some memories from childhood of drawing symbols for wishes on the ground of a forest while hiking, your bread sigil us bEAUTIFUL, I like drawing sigils while baking or making teas or whatever.

I haven't done much sigil magick myself, but one of the few times I attempted it, I actually improvised a sigil and drew it onto my fogged up shower door while I was showering. Not sure if it worked, but thought it was a cool idea.
Well you certainly don’t look like it!! Baby is using up all your stores of energy, oxygen and nutrients. It is so hard on our bodies and souls, I believe, because pregnancy and childbirth are the very highest magick a person can perform… It takes SO much energy to create a whole new person!!

The come to mind method is great too!! When I was younger I once dreamed of a sigil and when I woke up I drew it on my wall (because I couldn't find a paper in my messy room) 😅
I just started studying Hex signs and there seems to be a connection here. I am excited to find out more. The sun was very important in Hex signs. The sun was closely connected to farming and hex signs are usually used on barns. I am guessing Hex signs are similar to sigils.

I knew only a little bit about sigils (kinda sad considering how long I've been practicing) but this really helped me understand more on how they work and why manifesting with them worked so well for me. I tend to tie things to symbols or images to start with due to my poor memory and I never fully understood how sigils worked, just that they did. Been meaning to start sigil magick once again and while scrolling in TH-cam this video popped out, helped me a lot actually I had watched this last year but it somehow appeared on my recommendations again lol, downloading this now XD
When I was about nine I made a sigil, without knowing what those were because I was in a Christian school, that i gave to people i liked to symbolise a strong friendship bond between us. Many years later, I discover witchcraft and stumble across sigils and the memory of that image came to my mind.
Delightful, educational, and relaxing, as always, Bex! My first recollection of sigil work was when I was rather young. We took a weekend trip to the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area where there is a large community of Amish (Pennsylvania Dutch). On the sides of the barns and at the markets, I noticed what I later found to be "Hex signs". There's much debate as to their origin and if indeed, they are meant for warding against evil and crop/animal protection. I fell in love with the artwork and symbolism and took to secretly, reading up on sigils and symbols in ancient civilizations at our library. Side Note: You would probably find the ethnography rather interesting since they are descendent of German ancestry circa 17th/18th century and yes, we Americans bastardized the word, "Deutsch" and ended up calling them "Dutch". Insert facepalm here. sigh.

I am just starting with sigils and I've hidden a few protective ones here and there around my home. when I'm nervous, like for a test or presentation, I draw them on the tips of my fingers because I find it helps me.

I have found that drawing knots helps with concentration. They have to follow a pattern and connect. Over and under with the infinite thread. They can be really complicated and force you to figure out how to weave them together. Perhaps they could be used as sigils too.
Also, I've implemented an "extraction" method with making sigils. For each letter, make another word that relates to your desire. Think of ways to strengthen it so-to-speak. Repeat the inital process of elimination and make a sigil out of the remaining letters. You will still have the initial letters with some extras! This idea came to me recently. Alchemy probably assisted in forming that idea. I thought how the letters could work in an alchemical way by extracting the most from them. Funny how you find use for this "alchemical process" in cooking as well!

I've just taken an interest in sigils and want to start integrating them into my practice and this is a wonderful crash course on them while I wait for my books I ordered to arrive. Honestly i have drawn symbols in many many way I even remember some memories from childhood of drawing symbols for wishes on the ground of a forest while hiking, your bread sigil us bEAUTIFUL, I like drawing sigils while baking or making teas or whatever.

I haven't done much sigil magick myself, but one of the few times I attempted it, I actually improvised a sigil and drew it onto my fogged up shower door while I was showering. Not sure if it worked, but thought it was a cool idea.

Well you certainly don’t look like it!! Baby is using up all your stores of energy, oxygen and nutrients. It is so hard on our bodies and souls, I believe, because pregnancy and childbirth are the very highest magick a person can perform… It takes SO much energy to create a whole new person!!

The come to mind method is great too!! When I was younger I once dreamed of a sigil and when I woke up I drew it on my wall (because I couldn't find a paper in my messy room) 😅
I just started studying Hex signs and there seems to be a connection here. I am excited to find out more.
The sun was very important in Hex signs. The sun was closely connected to farming and hex signs are usually used on barns.
I am guessing Hex signs are similar to sigils.

Then I either let the breeze blow away the ashes or I help them along with a puff of breath. I release them to Mother Nature with love. I knew only a little bit about sigils (kinda sad considering how long I've been practicing) but this really helped me understand more on how they work and why manifesting with them worked so well for me. I tend to tie things to symbols or images to start with due to my poor memory and I never fully understood how sigils worked, just that they did. When I was about nine I made a sigil, without knowing what those were because I was in a Christian school, that i gave to people i liked to symbolise a strong friendship bond between us. Many years later, I discover witchcraft and stumble across sigils and the memory of that image came to my mind.

My first recollection of sigil work was when I was rather young. We took a weekend trip to the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area where there is a large community of Amish (Pennsylvania Dutch). On the sides of the barns and at the markets, I noticed what I later found to be "Hex signs". There's much debate as to their origin and if indeed, they are meant for warding against evil and crop/animal protection. I fell in love with the artwork and symbolism and took to secretly, reading up on sigils and symbols in ancient civilizations at our library.
Side Note: You would probably find the ethnography rather interesting since they are descendent of German ancestry circa 17th/18th century and yes, we Americans bastardized the word, "Deutsch" and ended up calling them "Dutch". Insert facepalm here. sigh.

I am just starting with sigils and I've hidden a few protective ones here and there around my home. when I'm nervous, like for a test or presentation, I draw them on the tips of my fingers because I find it helps me.
