For me, one of the greatest benefits of my Hamskea Peep, Clarifier and Lens is that it lets me shoot without glasses! I was forever looking through or over the rim of my glasses but it just by chance turned out that I can see perfectly through the yellow clarifier and 4X lens combo. Unintentional win!

Great video but you missed a section.....
If you run a lens on your sight & you use a clarifier you need to take account of 2 things. You covered changing the power of the clarifier which will clear up the target but you missed changing the apperture which will clear up the pin at the same time.
I shoot a #3 clarifier at 1/32 with a X4 lens and can see both the pin and the target clearly at the same time.
There are of course trade-offs with this, the smaller the apperture the darker the sight picture (not great for hunters), you probably can't ring your scope, it takes a while to get the combination right and it can get expensive!

Where does a clarifier go? In the peep, behind the pins, or in front of the pins?

I'm new to archery, so all of this stuff is a bit confusing. When someone says "lens", does that mean its a magnifier that fits on the sight housing? If so, does it go in front of the lens or back? So, the verifier makes the pins more cleat, the clarifier makes the target more clear, and the magnifier "lens" makes the target bigger so you can see it better,, correct?
Also, you use either a verifier and lens together or a clarifier and lens together, correct? I know some people only need either a verifier, clarifier, or magnifier, but I just want understand this stuff.
I've looked at the Hamskea Peep system. Seems high end. Anyone had experience with it?
Thanks for any and all feedback.

I bought a TruGlo lens for my range rover this year and my target is now very blurry. The packaging states that it is +0.5 diopter and 2x magnification. in my research i found that this configuration requires your eye to be about 40" away from the sight lens (meaning this is not a well designed product). I guess I need a clarifier to clean up the picture, does anyone have any advice?

I’ve seen comments from folks that wear glasses but none have specified “ bifocals”. A lot of times I am split between pin clarity and a fine line of target clarity due my lenses. Reading distance for me is terrible longer distance is not as bad. Any ideas??

In short, a verifier is for farsighted people (v and f) and a clarifier for people who see well close by, but not at a distance--nearsighted.

But what exactly is a clarifier? I was hoping you would show me: this is a clarifier and this is a verifier; and this is what they do.
I want to see the actual product, because I'm thinking both are basically a peep with a lens.

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  ปีที่แล้ว

They are but a like I say in the video, a verified is used when your target is clear but your pins are blurry ( usually for far sighted people). A clarifier is only used when you have a lense in your sight (like a target sight).

Many archers really could benefit from using these products. One major problem is nearly all shops don't have these in stock where you can try different lenses etc. It's basically trial/error spending lots of time and money to find what you need. Also, the shops believe they can't waste time with you on these for such a small sale IMO. I had to order products from Lancaster 3 times to get what my eyes needed to vastly improve my seeing ability. And about $200 in products and high end mailing charges.

@@longshotdiedtired1582 I have the green painted peep lens from speciality archery and a Doc’s 5x magnifying lens in my scope. Scope distance is at mid slide distance out ( 4 notch) about half the 6” slide length. 20/20 with eye glasses. Use Cryzal eye glass if u wear glasses. Those cheap glasses like 2 pair for $89 is junk IMO. The Cryzal glass quality is clear near the nose where your eyes will be looking as you shoot. It so much depends on your vision, draw length and how far out the scope sets. My pin and target are clear at all ranges

If they seem to be blurring together then a verifier would probably work better. If they're just too bright but still clear then cover the fiber wrap on the housing with one of those rubber bracelets that bow companies always send the bows with!
