OK, let's face it. It's very difficult to match up weather in both games. In Forza we have overcast weather with sun, because overcast weather on Bathurst in this game it's pretty dark tbh. Because of that we used in GTS overcast weather. We could go with clear afternoon, but it was to bright, plus sun position was different compared to Forza's and we know that they're some people who like to complain about minor details.
MotoGamesTV doesn't matter, all that counts is that you put effort into this video 👍
It is too dark because the lighting system is primitive and inconsistent in Forza. They don't have the sophisticated lighting engine of GTS to light up the darker corners of the scene. That is precisely why you should not have chosen an alternative setting. Observe carefully the steering wheel and you will see the red bounce off the seat and onto it.

i like how in forza the cam is angled so that you can see the drivers foot is Actually not moving
but in gt the foot is moving. you can see it in some cars when you move the cam down
but yet the rest of the graphics are just meh...

The lighting in GT Sport is just superior and thats why it makes the image look better overall although Forza has the better resolution if you compare both enhanced consoles. I also think that overall detail in GT Sport is higher when it comes to assets or attention to detail in general. For example, like in real life, when you drive in Monza too far on the right along the start/finish straight, then dust gets up in the air. That effect is recreated in GT Sport, i noticed that when in multiplayer some dude went to the far right. Those are the moments where you realize how obsessed Polyphony is with their work. I did not have these moments in Forza 7. Number of tracks, cars and resolution and dynamic weather. Thats where Forza 7 shines. But purely from the joy that driving provides i like GT Sport more. I mostly play Forza because i got used to a native 4k presentation and because of the variety of cars and tracks. But my heart says that GT Sport is the better game when it comes to striking your nerve.
guess we just have to disagree here :). it's a nice thing there are racing games out there for everyone and everyone can pick their favorites.
@AndreVD Very good comment, I am about the same general opinion as you. I have both, and I find that GT Sport feels more engine mechanics. Graphically GT Sport has a more realistic lighting, but the last track modeled on Forza 7 makes me say that it is still a notch above in graphics, like the race in the desert in the Arab Emirates.
The cars are more beautiful in GT Sport, there is no picture. But it's true what MrGlass says, we feel the bitumen better on Forza 7...
In fact I am bored with these 2 games. With Forza 4 on 360 the choice was easy, it exploded GT 5 and GT 6. Except that GT Sport returned to the level of the first 4 gran turismo. And if I don't have Forza 7, I will miss him, but if I don't have GT Sport, I will miss him too ... I need both, there are things better done on one , and others better done on the other. It's boring...

Both games are amazing.
This is why I've never went to Forza from GT, if you look at the car in GT looks realistic while the Forza is like a toy or a replica. Yes for me graphics are important. The details of the tail lights, the lightning. While Forza add details where there not should be any, dust after 1 laps in the rear bumper, shaking mirrors... etc

Cars in Forza 7 look natural, get dirt and dust... not to mention the huge difference in the stages... everything is more detailed and animated in Forza 7
If you want intense racing you play Forza. If you want casual laid back driving you play GTS.
And if you have an XB1 you should at least try Forza 7 for a few hours to decide if you still like GTS more. If you only have PS4 just be happy with GTS then.

Edr 45 Depends on the cars you drive. It can be extremely intense. If these 2 cars are identical in this video you can easily see that everything is moving faster in Forza.

Well, I think FM7 and GT Sport are graphically superior in different areas. Graphically, cockpit view looks lots better in FM7 compared to GT Sport. The cockpit view in GT Sport, almost looks flat to me. However, GT Sport has better graphics from outside the car. Also, it looks like GT Sport has better bloom and reflections compared to FM7. However, the colors in FM7 looks more saturated, vibrant, and poppy compared to GT Sport. I think that both games are graphically same. Just each game excels graphically, in different areas to each other. Also, another thing, the graphical scenery in GT Sport is definitely superior compared to FM7. Trees are actually 3D in GT Sport where they're 2D in FM7.

The seat is higher. That’s why you can see the road in front of you better. I drive my own car like this and this is what I see. 1:29 look at how much road is between your car and the wall ahead in FM7 vs GTS.

GT Sport was more detailed , the car behaved more realistic in GT vs kind of arcade in Forza. The dynamic weather was the only edge on Forza. GT Sport wins here

gt is not more realistic than forza. it's the same shit. both have shortcomings when it comes to realism, they're just distinct shortcomings. you'll have fun in either of them.
also gt sport was less detailed. there's a LOT of missing sidetrack details and objects all around the track. you oughta get that eye checked. (it also has no shadows, although that could be due to it being fully overcast. still looks weird and still no shadows in practice regardless)
@@GraveUypo why would there be shadows in any of them? look at the sky. its mid day and fully overcast. there shouldn't be shadows at all or reflections in the cockpit view as was done in forza. Also, who cares if the track is empty in gt sport. it is made to look like real life and it does. this is how the track regularly is. Additionally, there is no question that gtsport is more realistic. the handling is distinct and more accurate to life in gtsport and not even close to real life in forza.

One thing about the sound what PD needs really to improve is the sound when stepping on gas. There is some disortion in sound on mostly all cars.

Could you tell us what times you made in the games? I used to play both GT and Forza on ps3 and 360, and my times were always faster on Forza (same car and same track)

I love the fm7 sound but in third person, it kinda sounds like a vacuum cleaner which is more realistic but I would prefer to hear less wind. In cockpit view it sounds awesome though, wish GTS would fix the offset shifting sound..
There is something wrong with the engine sounds in gts that makes it unrealestic.. there is no gradation in the sound of the engine when you release and push the accelerator between gear shifts like in 3:46 .. unlike forza 7 you can notice the difference @ 0:12

Exactly what I’m thinking.. GTS sound really sound straight up good and too clear for my ear because of ‘lack’ any other sound, but when I listen to forza sound, I actually think “i guess that popcorn sound is needed to be there”. Same with the chase-cam view, the forza has the wind sound, the echo bcs of the environtment, it sounds like it from real camera from behind the car. The GTS sound is really pleasing to the ear but it feels like inside the studio with the car in it. Both are sounds good depends on what perspective you want to choose. This is only sound-wise from both game.
Shame they used a rainy day in GT Sport. Its lighting engine is blisteringly realistic.

Audio in forza is better. Also u get the fire crackling from the exhaust in forza. It also looks a bit flatter and wider screen then gt sport. The road physics look like they might also be better In forza. Having said all of that I'm a Gtsport fan and don't play forza. It's not as fun in my experience but it has some things going for it that for whatever reason, polyphony can't seem to get right.
They both look amazing, but GT wins it for me. The windshield reflection in cockpit review really bothers me with Forza. It's such a distraction and also the contrast is really low. Gt seems more vivid and colorful. If I had to decide between the two I wouldn't, I'd just buy both lol

Świetne porównanie dwóch czołowych symulatorów na konsole. Widać podejście twórców do wykonania gry. Forza może graficznie jest uproszczona (liście na drzewach) ale podczas gry tak tego nie widać. Za to przeszkadza chwyt kierownicy przez kierowcę (w GT bardzo profesjonalny) jak również nogi kierowcy w Forzie (wg nie ma ich aktywności).
Tak to oba tytuły są świetnie zrobione.

Cockpit view (and animations) suck a big one in Forza 7, but its chase cam is so much nicer. Still, GT Sport's cars and lighting are miles ahead.

Well, I really like the GT Sport F40, and the cockpit sound is incredible, Forza's cockpit sound is the same thing as the exterior sound, GT Sport has a really great ilumination, but FM7 has a really good resolution (FOR THE FANBOYS, PLZ, CAN U JUST MAKE A CONCRETE OPINION ABOUT THESE GAMES?).
I kinda like the evening graphics in Forza, i feel it is more pleasing to look at. The camera angle in GT to too far for my taste and the car is overly glossed. Albeit realistic.
Gt sports trees look like from 2002 game. Look at 1:42 and compare. Not even close. Clouds also much better in Forza.

Idk I've never been a hug fan of Forza but it definitely looks better in detail. Reflection and dirt on the windshield, detailed surroundings...idk man...I'm still partial to GTS though. Had every game in the series.
I've never liked forza's cockpit view, you're too far away. When driving you aren't going to see the a pillars, sunvisors, and steering wheel in your FOV. They did do a steering wheel cam which helps but forza 7. I've always found forza's overall lighting to be too dark unless you are staring right into the sun (highly annoying). GTS overall lighting looks much better IMO. In the sound department there is no comparison unless you are deaf.
why do the engines in gt sport sound muffled or something?
Cockpit view, if you drive a car in real life (unless you have the windows down or its a convertible) the engine sounds are always muffled, Forza doesn't do that.

Hate the FOV and camera shake in Forza. Although it may add to the sensation of speed, it just distorts everything.
I’m a bit late to the party, but you are correct, it does add to the sensation of speed. As much as I love GT Sport, going 150mph feels almost no different than going 50mph.
You can take that out camera shaking effect in settings in forza, i personally take it out to feel more like gt
Play gt sport on a loud system ....upgrade the f40 to the max...drop it's weight....now go for a drive in cockpit view ...now listen that sound as the turbo kicks in at 5500 rpm....now that's real simulation .......
I think that the low RPM tones in Forza are better, more metallic. Overall GTS is better.

I didn't recognize the first straight in GTS was from Bathrust...where are the buildings and the crane and general population? The straight felt too empty in GTS, in Forza I easily knew which track we were racing on.
