Society Traumatized Us

  • Commentary on how systems of society have created a domino effect where they have socialized us to be apathetic which will in turn create less emotionally developed people who may traumatize you. I also talk about how society's forceful pressure to make us give up our dreams may have caused extreme pain or trauma in the process of making us conform.

I'm convinced that the reason I "can't hold down a job" is because I am an intellectual/creative who has been forced to work in terrible low wage jobs that are extremely ill-suited to my skills/abilities/talents. I don't have any friends and the few family members I talk to are not supportive of my dreams. A professional music talent scout talked with me recently, but I had to keep it a secret from my family. I told my mom that I had been "thinking about becoming a wedding singer" and she just laughed and said that I "can't do that" because I'm "not a good enough singer." Just so rude and dismissive. I'm going to become a professional singer anyway!

do it!! i feel you, i couldn’t stay in jobs either😂 i’d be like “this is a bunch of bullshit why is everyone acting like it’s normal” and then i’d quit.
and i agree with keeping it secret because if you tell them, you run the risk of them knocking down the confidence you need to go for it. like my family has no idea about this youtube channel (and they ain’t GONNA know😂) because it protects your mental and emotional health to keep things secret from those who doubt you.
and it’s your life to do ANYTHING with. if you want to be a singer, then you will be. that’s your free will to choose.
actually fun fact, i originally wanted to be a singer too (i probably will do that again eventually)! but i was trained in musical theater, pop, and then classical/opera (didn’t like opera that much but trained in it 5 days a week for 4 years😔) and my biggest suggestion is to prioritize getting lessons. even the best singers have weekly lessons just to preserve their voice and keep it healthy since their career depends on it. OH and my second biggest advice is whenever there’s an audition FOCUS ON YOUR BREATH cause usually when a singer gets nervous the first thing we forget to do is breathe and support properly
best of luck to you and remember to do vocal warm ups every single day even if you’re not gonna sing/practice that day (unless you’re sick or your voice is too tired, then rest it)!
      i believe in you!!

@@SunnieTree I used to mainly quit jobs because of moving back and forth when I was in college. Then, for the past decade and a half or more I've been getting fired every few months for no legitimate reason.
Some things I have to keep secret from my family because they are against it morally (like smoking weed). Other things I have to keep secret because they don't want me spending money. So, they know about my TH-cam channel and even seem happy for me whenever it succeeds, but they don't think I should spend any money on it.
I just wish I had people in my life who I didn't have to hind everything from. I wish I had friends who I could share my feelings with and who I could trust to be positive.
Thanks for the advice! I've never taken vocal lessons before. I only practice by singing karaoke (usually alone). I definitely should practice more often, though.

hey... this video was amazing and it rly helped me a lot today, it's so hard sometimes when i feel worthless in this society but today at least i've got to know someone that made me feel like i'm worth something. i'm just another person on the internet but even still... thank you so much ❤

@@Carolz-k423 this made me cry actual tears (in a heartwarming way, you didn’t upset me). i’m so so so glad you had a moment of peace and understanding of how wonderful and gracious you are. omg i wanna hug you through the screen, you’re not just another person in the internet, you’re Carolz-k423! i have good memory i’m not even joking i will remember you and think about this comment throughout the week because your words and presence are such a pleasure and leaves such a positive impact.
just one interaction with you and i see you are full of worth and so deserving of happiness and love.
i don’t know why i feel so strongly about this, like GIRL SOMETIMES MY 6TH SENSE GOES OFF RANDOMLY but i seriously truly feel like i need to emphasize how special you are. like you are such a gift to this world and you being here has made me personally happy. like you literally just popping in to comment can bring another human so much joy, you are so incredibly special in that way.
you just have this energy where you’re literally just a bundle of joy. even when you don’t feel happy, you just seem very good at making others happy without trying or even knowing that you do so.

I'm a game dev working towards building an online game. I work long hours in warehouse general labor work > exhausted, and come home to program/sprite/produce/write/develop and rinse and repeat. I barely socialize anymore.
My goal is to build a game that can build a community for people to form connections, bonds, friendships and love again. I'm so so so tired. I have so much luck in a lot of ways and as a child I spent so much time being perpetually online. Leaving the online world I've learned we're all so hurt we just hurt each other more and more, and I'm probably the same way too.
If you're reading this I'm wishing everyone peace. That deep kind of peace with no worry about when it'll end. That deep kind of joy that won't end. That stress that's fulfilling and that worry will never last long upon your fingers. Healing that's sustainable. The sensation of your nervous system relaxing. I pray I could contribute any bit towards that and community in whichever means possible.

Hey Sunnie Tree, and thanks for another great video! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my channel re-launch video ready for the end of the month, but I'm working on the script and hope to get it finished this week, then do the recording and editing over the weekend. I'm hoping to then great straight on with the next, and aim to get a video out every week or two. I am to cover how the patriarchy emerged within cultures that had previously had a focus on worship of the divine female. I think a big factor in this change was an increase in violence as populations grew and conflict over resources started.
