Not really beyond just making it easier to find the folder. In truth, folder management isn’t even really necessary in the same way as it was historically because the search facility is so good in outlook. For me, a combination of using a few favourite folders that I interactive with often and the search facility seems to work well enough.
Yeah, frustratingly, new folders can only be moved manually from within the favourites list. Usually, Outlook will try to order folders alphabetically, which might explain why yours in the middle. A workaround might be to place sequential numbers before your folder names (e.g. ‘1-‘ followed by ‘2-‘ etc. Hope this helps!
