Due to a health scare in 2017, we decided to start enjoying life more outside our business. We bought a Lodge on the east coast of England and started vlogging our daily adventures

It is with a very heavy heart we have to announce the very sad news that my beautiful Mum sadly passed away peacefully around 2 weeks ago and heaven gained a new angel. To say I am devastated does not begin to express how we both feel.
We have spent the last two weeks having some time to ourselves, coming to terms with our loss and dealing with funeral arrangements.
My Mum wanted her journey shared in the hopes that it helped open up opportunities for trials & treatments etc. On that subject, we would like to personally thank Julia, Leanne, Kerrie and Amy in particular for your tremendous support and help you gave to my mum and thanks to our larger community for your kind words and support during the last few weeks. It has been hard to vlog and we know sometimes hard to watch but the help and support we have received for my mum have been worth every moment.
Our vlogs, as you may be aware , are ahead of real time by weeks.This has given us the freedom to take time away to arrange things, be with family and grieve.
This means there will be a few more vlogs which my beautiful Mum is in still to come. We discussed not releasing them but decided to continue to share my mums story as she wished. To us they are treasured memories before this terrible illness took her from us.
Whilst the last 4 months have been the most difficult of our lives, we chose to focus on the positives. Spending as much quality time with my Mum as we could. We have had laughs and fun taking her out for day trips. Up to the very end we all hoped for a lot more time together and a more positive outcome. Unfortunately my mum's health declined quickly towards the end.
We would also like to extend our thanks to our social media moderators for keeping things running while we have been busy.

The vlogs will continue on our usual schedule. There are a couple of specials at the end of my mums journey which we filmed (a Florida vlog and a filming location vlog) before we look at going back to normal vlogs.

I’m so so sorry to hear this news. The last few vlogs Nick was so happy because she seemed to be doing so much better. Cancer is a horrible disease. My mom passed when she was 52 from colon cancer. Thank you for sharing her with us and her journey the outcome isn’t what any of us wanted. Again I’m so sorry sending love and prayers. Rest In The sweetest peace 🥰
Losing a parent is so painful. I lost my Mum to Pancreatic Cancer-13/02 is her anniversary. Sending so much love,you're in my thoughts, there are no words which convey the anguish, I know. Lots of love to you both and the family.xx

I’ve watched you two for years and you’ve got me through some really tough times with your ready wit and lovely banter. It’s why it’s so difficult to know you are hurting so bad and I can’t do anything to help you. Please accept my deepest condolences and my thoughts are with you and your wonderful family.
Our hearts go to you all. In the last 4 years my husband and I have lost both our Mums and my Dad. Your journey for us was very real and to include the public on this journey with your Mum must have been difficult. Guys this is one of the most difficult things you are going to have to go through, but together you will get through it. No matter how snappy you get at each other ( and you will over the coming months) remember its you both against the problem - cancer is a horrid disease but together you will help Gail fight it. Pals are the first point of call for complaints but you can escalate to the patient experience team who report into the board of directors for the trust. Seeing the weariness and hurt on your faces just broke my heart so sending you all love and support xx
I love your videos so much. Thank you for sharing the journey you guys have been on with all of us. You guys are an inspiration and are in my prayers and you grieve such a difficult loss.
I just want to give you both a hug. It must be so hard for you both. I am going through something very emotional at the moment with family and am still vlogging as I feel it takes my mind off it at times but do whatever is right for you. Sending my love xx

So sorry you lost your mum. Losing a parent is so hard. You made some lovely memories and took care of her so well. We give those we love and care for most a tougher time when we are ill and in pain and shows how much she loved you. You have both been on such a hard journey. I feel so sad and down on todays news. I lost my mum during covid and know how you must feel Nick. It made me cry when you were pushing her down ASDA Isles as that’s what I did with my mum. 😢. Sending a virtual hug but deep down 💔 for you. Xxx

When you put you ladder against the wall put socks on the ends at the top to make sure it doesn’t scratch or dirty the wall.
It's one of the most heartbreaking things to experience as you feel your doing all you can but nothing helps. I'm so sorry for your loss Nick and Leah. I'm praying for you both. 💜

My heart goes out to you. I saw your sad news on the anniversary of my Mum's passing. I understand your frustration with medical delays. My sister and I looked after my Mum in the last few days of her life at home with no help. She had breast cancer that had spread to her liver and lungs. She also had dementia. It was an awful time, for her and also us. We felt so helpless and alone. I'm so glad you were able to take Mum out, spoil and help her. Sending lots of love to you all. ❤️

Hi nick and leigh. Hope your both keeping well. It's always worrying when a loved one is unwell so sending lots of love for you and Gail. I always think of food and Disney when I watch you two . We just had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the gray ox at Clifton near Halifax. Its was delicious 😋 😉😊.take care ❤️
You guys are both amazing, your having so much to do and sort and be there for nicks mum that I'm surprised you've lasted this long before having an off day! Leigh and Nick your doing such a great job looking after Gail, you cant do any more i loved it when you took her out for new clothes it shows how much you love your mum when she gets better you can have more time to your selfs and i know where you both will be going FLORIDA.

Pataks has a butter chicken kit that looks a lot like the one you were using from a different company, and I’ve always had lots of success with it. I do strictly follow their instructions and don’t add anything else, and it turns out well. I’m probably too much of a rule follower, but when the results work for me, I’m fine with it.
I feel I can't comment after hearing the sad news of gayle, we just had a passing inbetween Xmas / new Yr, & last week said goodbye

I really feel for you both of you it's not easy what your going through two and a half years I was in your position my partner had bladder cancer couldn't have treatment as covid set in I had him at home and nursed him it's what he wanted still hang in their but please make time for yourselves don't feel guilty sending love and hugs 💖
So sorry Nick....I lost my Mum suddenly at age 23 and it's just the weirdest feeling isn't. Hats off to you both for putting in all of the hours going to see your Mum so much whilst she was poorly, even on days like this where its physically and emotionally challenging. It all counts - give each other an extra hug every day, because every day is best :) :) :)

Just watched this video, sorry your mum is in so much pain. After listening to your mum’s problem Iv have L2,L3,L4,L5 the tablets your mum is taking are normal tablets,she needs proper nerve pain tablets, Tramadol pregabalin or anything where nerve damage is. This is what I have and yes tablets are designed for different areas spinal damage is very painful also causes sciatica in leg, groin area. Hope since this video has gone out your mum has better news on her op. Hope this helped don’t mean to but it just I like others who have this can feel for her, if I get 3hrs straight I’m lucky. Iv lost both my parents in the last 3 years they lived with me and my husband and our kids for there last 10 years and losing them has been the hardest thing that’s ever happened to us. I really feel for u as I can see how close u was to ur mum like I was ,much love to u as always xxxx

I feel for you looked after my sister who was 48 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer sadly she died but keep your head up guys and try and stay strong hope your mam gets sorted soon

On another point no wonder y’all are loosing weight that breakfast🤢 plain yogurt must be a British thing because my mother loved it too! It’s hot to have some flavor for me. 😊
