Due to a health scare in 2017, we decided to start enjoying life more outside our business. We bought a Lodge on the east coast of England and started vlogging our daily adventures

My mum passed away in 2022, we had planned to visit New York in march 2020 but it was cancelled due to the pandemic, unfortunately we had other things going on and never got to go. I’m going on my own in a couple of weeks time. So excited and wish she was still here to come with me. ❤

We usually stay at the Radisson but they totally priced us out for June. Now that my son is 19 they wanted £564 for a room for 3, not a chance. We booked the new Holiday Inn which is also just a walk to the terminal and for less than £200. Hope you managed your upgrade. Looking forward to travel day! X

Love staying here but got expensive the last few time so stayed at the Clayton. But staying there this November. CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

Always used Radisson Blu when we travelled to Orlando. The last time I went with my late husband we were on the 9th floor and the rooms were more or less the same as the one you were in but you did get the guest lounge with loads of treats. We had the same view as you . Last year I went with a friend and stayed there and treated ourselves to a nice massage in the Spa to help us sleep. Love the hotel.
So excited to see what you guys get up to. I was there with my daughter early December for the first time. Going back for a week thanksgiving with my 3 kids would love some tips and money saving ideas
I love a bit of in-room dining. Who needs tv with a window view like that. July 2023 Edinburgh airport hotel was £256, Hampton by Hilton, the Doubletree was £350
We really liked that room, loved looking out onto the planes
Just stayed here tonight. Upgraded to exec suites on the 9th floor. Appears to be identical to the superior on the 8th floor.
Added bonus was that the Virgin Atlantic Twilight check in service is back so we’ve got a nice easy start in the morning (no cases now and we’ve already got our boarding passes). Especially with that nice short walk from the lobby to T2.

We had 3 rings made with my dads ashes, they only used a teaspoon for all three! And we have just come back from a road trip where we took Dad with us and scattered some of his ashes around his favourite places.

You should have told them you were travelling for Nicks 50th, we went to Florida last October and stayed there, told them we was going for my 40th ( which wasn’t for another 8 months ) got upgraded to a executive runway view room and a balloon and bottle of Prosecco. Tip for next time.

We stayed at Radisson Blu last September and love the location with just a 5 min walk to the terminal. I have already booked for next May got a really good price too x
It looks like your trip got off to a good start, at least, as far as getting to the airport. It is quite an interesting view from the window, though I would have to close the blinds before I went to bed to keep the lights from bothering me.
We normally stay at Claytons it's gone so expensive but still pay as I prefer to be at the airport the day before , we take a walk to the pub at the end of the runway called "the airport " and watch the planes before heading back , the radisson blue looks amazing 😁safe journey and looking forward to your vlogs 😁😁

It was all a lot easier with travelers cheques!! We had a great meal in the Phileas Fogg restaurant there before our flight to Barbados the next day.
Highly reccomend the executive class as you get free drinks (including alcohol) in the lounge and canopes at lunch/dinner plus breakfast. It doesn’t give you an airport lounge though it’s the lounge on the 9th floor of the hotel. The view is amazing

Oooh this is getting me giddy 😂 we’re off to Venice in 2 weeks & staying at the brand new Holiday Inn at terminal 2 the night before our flight. We got the hotel free! Hubby works away a lot & collects points, we once had 5 nights free at Crowne Plaza, Times Square 😊 the holidays start at the airport 😊😊

I've stayed at the radison blu before my holiday to florida it was amazing and did the same just sat and watched the planes lol 😊 such a lovely thing taking your mum with you as well ❤ I'm taking my dad with me on holiday in July as well we went on holiday every year together 😢 xxx
We loved the hotel. Think we got a really good price as its usually much more. Hopefully we can get it again one day
We stayed there last year, it's a huge convenience being walking distance from check in. The lift scenes were cracking me up though 😂

Stayed at the Radisson Blue last time I traveled home to the UK in 2019. Was so handy for the airport good breakfast too. Im planning a trip home to UK again in August and have booked the Clayton this time, not stayed there before but I will need to catch some ZZZ's after traveling from New Zealand prior to driving to my mums, two flights one over 13 hours and the other over 10 hours with a 9 hour stop over in Singapore. Love planning the trip but the thought of all those hours in economy is already making me wince as too have the flight prices which have doubled. But it will be worth it to see family. Listening to you speak about your mum made me get a wiggle on and plan a trip home sooner rather than later.
Can't wait for the vlogs! Woo!x

Always stay in the blu it’s ideal if you goto the airport on the train short walk to hotel from train and in airport. We also got upgraded a few times

We got a fab deal for RB in 2019 . Hubbie got up for loo around 1.30am and the loo had leaked all over bathroom floor. They swapped us rooms . So at 2am there's us a 2 kids in PJs carrying all our stuff to similar room you had. 4 in bed couldn't sleep so just laid and watched airport come alive .
Raddison Blu looks such a lovely hotel & being able to walk into the terminal is such a big plus. I don’t think I’d stay at The Clayton again as the last time we stayed there we were next to the railway lines and were kept away all night long as they were repairing the tracks. Reception didn’t want to know they said they were full & they hadn’t been informed of the rail works.
Stayed at the Clayton in January, never again it was grubby and needed refurbishment. Have booked Radisson Blu for next trip, looking forward to staying there.
We booked Executive club room but you don’t believe you get airport lounge. They have an executive lounge in the hotel that serves drinks free of charge and snacks until 9pm. Mini pies, meats and cheeses etc. it’s worth the upgrade when you take into account cost per drink in my opinion.
We got shouted at for filming the shop, we’ll done for escaping the grumpy man 😂

Have you ever been to the ‘Manchester Airport Pub’ ? It backs onto the Runway . You can watch the planes take off and land whilst having a drink in the garden . You have to pay for the car park but if you go in the week during Term Tine it’s quiet and can get a window table .

Nice one ! Be interested to see if they let you upgrade your companion flight as we've got them for September going Orlando , tho I know the points value is more to there . I didn't know you could share the extra companion as such ? Anyway good luck , hope they accommodate you . Would love to know more about the curve card for currency and gaining points that way . I've heard revolt a bit ... not so good ?

We really enjoyed the Radisson Blu for how easy it was to get to. We come by train so it is off the train and straight to the hotel then straight to the terminal in the morning so easy but a bit expensive which is a shame.
I was a bit worried about customs finding your Mum and thinking it were drugs.... Really happy to see you travelling again.

Stayed there a few times, far to expensive these days . We now stay at the hyatt in Orlando Airport as a treat when we arrive and the night before we fly home . Rad blu wanted 600 pound for 1 night this year 😮!
We stayed last May for our trip to Italy. £186 with 15 days parking onsite. Off to Florida early December and it’s £332 with parking. Ouch!

Nick, i think I tried a similar trick to top up my Revolut, linked to my curve, linked to my Hilton credit card. Unfortunately it tracked as a cash withdrawal on the credit card and charged me a fee on it. I’m not sure if this is exactly the same as you were trying? Good for earning points still but wasn’t worth the cash withdrawal fee for me
Also, I'm not sure if you're keen on the idea but I know of some people who have had tattoos with their loved ones ashes in them. I've always said I'd never get a tattoo unless it was something really meaningful, so I'd maybe make an exception in that case, even if I am a fanny when it comes to needles.

Hey guys great vlog as always its made me excited as we go to orlando in 4 weeks!! For cremation jewellery I would highly recommend Chris Parry he has a great website. We lost our 20 year old daughter Amy 5 years ago and I had a beautiful ring made by him. Excellent communication with him and the finished ring is amazing now Amy is with me wherever we go. It was a very difficult decision to send even a teaspoon of Amy’s ashes off to a stranger but we definitely made the right decision picking Chris. Hope this helps. Looking forward to the next vlog. ❤

We’ve stayed there twice, the last time in November last year when we had a Superior room. We had a fridge which was empty, no Netflix and a less fancy shower over a bath. Apart from that, it was the same. We love the convenience of staying there. Have an awesome trip. ❤️❤️❤️

Last time we stayed at the radisson blue we had terrible service, charged twice for the room had to get them to refund one after an hour of discussion, the restaurant put nuts on my sisters meal despite her askkng about her allergies and being assured her steak had no nuts on the plate. Asked for alcohol free beer and they gave us alcohol version. Shocking tbh

We always have our Orlando pre travel day stay at the Radisson Blu Heathrow, a very elegant hotel! It also has an amazing Steak & Lobster restaurant. Highly recommend. Our next visit is in a few weeks time! 🥳🥂😍
