A note from Mr Ferguson.
@20:54 WEST, not East.
(I feel I am partially to blame for cooking poor JF's brain with back to back cursed CoD weapon recordings)
Could you ask Mr.F please if the irl QBZ95 can fire in 3rd burst (via the selector)? I know that the irl QBZ97 cannot fire in 3rd burst but is COD partially correct, just copying the wrong variant?
Does this mean you will do Homefront: The Revolution next?
YEAH I was confused, thinking "did Israel really collaborate with one of the communist country in Cold War?" 😂
@@MihaelGeng for a short period Israel use military help provided by Czechoslovakia back in 1948. It save Israel in its war for independence. But after that eastern block realized that Israel would not became another socialist state and end it.
Makes sense that they at least made an effort to wait and see. Socialist groups were a significant part of Pre-1948 Zionism @@jakubkopecky9878
This one seemed to hurt Johnathon, and I feel for the poor man.
Also continue to love the style of the conversations we've gotten recently
Punished Ferguson.
Not as bad as Vanguard, and I don’t think anything will top that
@@TheDarkForce187 That Godforsaken Garand...
Im gonna say that having David and Jonathan is actually really nice. Having someone who has the skill/ knowledge for the video game part bouncing off of the real world experienced on is very cool.
The grenade launcher was nerfed so badly over time that people using it skillfully jokingly ccalled it the Pro-Pipe.
Yeah it's downright useless outside of HC mode now, pretty sad
Ha!
Lol?
@@jonathanferguson1211 Oh hi there Jonathan
I really want to see Jonathan break down the guns from The Order 1886
Hahah! guess there is never going to be any Order 1886 after all 🤣
Keep on singing it baby!
o7 Keep up the solid work
I love the idea of Dave kept refusing to cover that game
I hope they give you a shout out if they ever cover it
Please Jonathan, break down the weapons from *METAL GEAR SOLID 3* before the remake comes out.
So many weapons in MGS3 to react and comment on like the Patriot's infinite ammo magazine, the EZ tranq gun, Snake's customized officer M1911A1, Snake whittling the pistol grip to use a knife for CQC, Ocelot's SAA juggling skills, The End's paratrooper tranquilizer Mosin Nagant, the Davey Crockett recoil-less nuclear launcher and Eva's chinese mauser clone.
There are so many more other interesting trivias and weapons in MGS3 so please gamespot and Johnathan make a video for the game.
Oh you mean the best game ever? Yeah I agree he should do it 🎉
I need Jonathan to do a word for word breakdown of the M1911 that Snake did. "Incredible...the feeding ramp has been polished to a mirror sheen-"
PLEASE
I think they’ll do this one either right before the release or a special video comparing the original and remake
mgsv would also be cool
Imagine being a texture artist and getting called out by Jonathan Ferguson because you couldn't be arsed to properly mirror text
Type 97 is the civilian 556 version, the type 95 is the chinese military 5.8mm version. The two guns are similar in internals function but they are more different than people think. Once the type 95 is fully replaced I wouldnt be surprised if Jonathan's Chinese counterpart in some museums in China could lend one to the Royal Armoury museum.
Yes, quite right - QBZ-95 rifle and QJB-95 squad automatic (which I stupidly confused for the '97 5.56 rifle variant. I knew I should have paused to remind myself of that 😊
They both keyhole just as nice
Chinese counterpart in China, huh? The comment kinda trips over itself there
from earlier videos of Royal Armoury Museum, a Norinco Type 86, considerably the extremely rare, highly valuable prototype or testing forerunner of QBZ95 series, can be seen in their collection.
With the gloves Jonathan could be in the newest Payday, they should add him into the game as the armourer xD
The Cor 45 is named differently and looks different because it's an in-universe Glock clone. It's made by Corvus rather than XRK.
lol that's kind of funny actually
But.....why tho?
@@dragonbornexpress5650glock probably wouldn't license it to them
Bro X-12 (made by XRK) and COR-45 (Made by Corvus) is basically the same
A note for the “cursed guns” - please have him critique a normal version as well, otherwise the commentary becomes “gun that’s wacky is wacky”
I'd rather have him focus just on the normal version and maybe have just one that is so cursed that he has to guess what it is instead of these examples that just kinda go halfway with it.
The last time I played CoD I made the winter soldier minimi (short barrel, coffin mag, combination scope/red dot, skeleton or no stock)… it rapidly became my favourite gun build in that.
That would have been Modern Warfare 2019, it's very viable to build it again in MW3 this year. One of my favorites in 2019 as well, very mobile for an lmg in CoD.
Glad I am not the only one who remakes weapons from movies anime and other games (mainly gacha like girls frontline and blue archive)
@@Katsudon96 oh god the Blue Archive guns are so cursed
I am once again asking to see Jonathan check out the weapons from Black (2006, Criterion Games).
Such a good game
Pretty decent game, but the guns are horrific from a realism standpoint, he'll have a field day with them.
@@devindalton4688 That's exactly why I'm asking!
@@stoops187 Yes it is. And a great soundtrack, too.
Look at the guns in Enlisted. There’s a lot of guns in the game that aren’t in other WW2 shooters, like the Carcano & Volksgewehr. There’s also a lot of experimental & prototype guns like the Pavesi & AS-44.
It could also supply enough content for about two years of this series.
Finally an enlisted recommendation
Gotta love me some Enlisted.
You know I’ve just been getting into Enlisted over the last few weeks, and aside from the expected frustration inherent in all multiplayer games it’s really fun. I am a huge ww2 nerd so its a perfect fit for me. Oddly I’ve been seeing way more talk about it since playing than I ever did before. However, seeing all the rare and weird things like the owens gun, madsen, ampulomet (a weird russian anti tank weapon which was essentially a crystal ball yeeting molotov cannon) and so many more is dumbfounding and awesome all in one.
Enlisted is a F Tier shooter, Call of Duty is A+ Tier and successful. Nobody is going to look at Enlisted.
My girlfriend did the weapon modelling on two of the Uzis you looked at today, thanks so much for reviewing them! She also did a bunch of the other attachments and made countless tweaks (and yes she's aware of plenty of small bugs like the shotgun ammo shells being ejected and is fixing stuff atm)
I may not entirely love the game but she does a good job alongside the others who work(ed) on this, give her this random internet commenter's compliment
For all the "questionable" design and gameplay decisions of recent AAA games, their cutting edge visual assets are always a treat to examine when given the opportunity, as well as something often overlooked or taken for granted when the conversation is pivoted away from the visuals and towards the problematic areas.
So bless her and her colleagues for all the work they do.
TELL HER TO MAKE IT LOOK MORE REALISTIC
Im guessing it wasn't her choice to make on the realism side of how they look?
“X to doubt”
On Battlefield 4 you could use the integrated bipod on FAMAS
You should have him look at the base guns before the cursed weapons.
Only showing =the cursed weapons or heavily modified weapons sort of muddies the critiques.
I'd also love a series where Jonathan gets hands on MW3 and does his best to create more realistic versions of the guns based on the attachments given.
For the record, Insurgency : Sandstorm from 2018 has a FAMAS with useable bipod
Pretty sure BF4 from 2013 has a Famas witha usable bipod
When I was in the Army, I had to go to the range. I was going to be changing duty stations pretty soon and I was friends with the armourer and I did what I could to make the dumbest build for a M249 I could manage with parts he had. So we put the short barrel on and took a spare long barrel, I put a trijicon 4x ACOG on it, where it sits on the feed cover and can't hold an accurate zero, and then put a foregripe with the internal bipod on it, just under the actual bipod. It was also the day my 1SG and company commander decided to come visit us at the range. Good times.
i actually cackled at the Quadropod joke. Well done.
That Patrick “Booo” was a great edit. Cheers. lol
Fun Fact: MCW is based on the ACR from the original Modern Warfare (2011)
It has a different model and name because of what's recently been happening to triple AAA firearms with the whole name and model change.
Original modern warfare was 2007. The mcw is indeed the ACR from the original mw2(2009)
@@Mm-vr8ssHe ment the original Modern Warfare 3 but forget the 3. It's not the "ACR" from MW2 as that was modeled after the Gen 2 Magpul Masada prototype.
It would be nice to see Jonathan reacting to the guns of Warframe
About the FAMAS with a usable bipod. Battlefield 3 and 4 had usable bipods for the gun, 10 years ago.
The much more in depth and conversational style is far better than before, It allows Jonathan to bring out the stranger and more unique perspectives, rather than just a commentary on looks like before.
Some of the best content on the platform. Hands down. I love JF, man is a treasure. Dave is cool too
Regarding the haymaker (origin). Yellow shells are traditionally reserved for 20 gauge. There may be yellow 12 gauge shells, but as far as I know, it's exclusively reserved for 20 gauge to prevent clambering in a 12 or 16 gauge
The yellow in CoD games is to distinguish the ammo type your using. They’re the color for frag rounds, which Dave said he’s using.
To those not familiar, a 20-gauge shell is just the right size to slide down a 12-gauge barrel and get stuck, so it's important some way of visually differentiating your 20-gauge shells at a glance, so you don't mistakenly load one into a 12-gauge gun and have to punch it out with a ramrod.
I always like watching these because I love shooters. I love guns in games.
I also love hearing the perspective and the, I guess opinions, of an actual firearms expert and the breakdown of my favorite guns in games, as well as the history and what the more sci-fi-esque guns are based off of (looking at you, beloved BR-55 Battle Rifle from Halo)
Those double-uzis have the classic Golden Eye style reload, love it. Absolutely great animation, glad people are still doing it…
G36C easily one of my favorite in-game weapons to use its so good looking too.
It's basically a flamethrower in real life though. Not great ballistics either. The K model is probably the best.
@@Frozen_Thorn any gun is a flamethrower if you put 300 rounds through it consecutively
I got so excited to see that Evo 3. Favorite firearm ever. Hands down.
Interesting visual bug with the WSP stingers, seems like at some points the casings are coming out of the persons gloves just behind the thumb (saw at 24:31 just before the right hand reloads) took a double take as something seemed wrong with it (also has a case phasing through the magazine)
PS: love the longer discussions between you two
Honestly I really like the Dave and Johnathan duo in the newer videos as he explains what is not evident from a simple clip of a video.
I hope you keep making CoD analysis videos. I love these.
I'm glad the videos are showing more of the dialogue between Jonathon and Dave
The Patrick boo absolutely killed me 10:08
Me too Dave, I also love how COD brings out a certain side of Jonathan in these videos too:)
Would love to see you breakdown the guns in the socom games.
Did anyone else notice that with the Rival-9 the shooter sticks his left thumb right in front of the muzzle while shooting?
I guess they used the same forward c-clamp grip like you would have on a Scorpion, but made the front end much shorter both in length and height...
I believe with the MG36, HK only made 20 or so dedicated MG36s for German Army trials. So thats likely why you're never seen an MG36 receiver.
Always a great watch👍
20:54
I assume you meant West German? Didnt expect East Germany to have Uzis.
Why not? Outermost USSR countries pretty commonly engaged economically with "the enemy" because trading with the countries on your border and their neighbors is easier than waiting for Moscow to bring you something
@@Brian-tn4cdWarsaw Pact, not USSR
Our MG Gunner (Negev) using STANAG magazine during peace time like city patrol or boarder guard in my case is artillery ammunition plant.
5:17 had me busting out laughing but laughing to hide the pain because it's so true
You 2 should break down SCP 5k, it is a tactical based horror shooting game with weapons and customization
17:43 Idk if they changed it but the riveter from the previous video for me was ejecting the correct 410 shells.
YES I WAS WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE
Been waiting for this. Jonathon is the goat of whatever this yt thing is.
Id like to see Jonathan look at the weapons from 007 Agent Under Fire and 007 Nightfire.
G36 and MP7 are my favorite guns. They are just so cool looking. Hearing these two talk good about the G36 made me happy.
The reason the akimbo micro UZIs are firing so slow is because the attachment is currently bugged. By default the gun has 1000 RPM in game, and when running them akimbo, the game basically halves the fire rate. So it's technically still 1000 RPM, but just because there's two guns firing at 500 RPM.
I'm amazed you didn't let him look thoroughly on the 1911 and the shotgun and the AK and the VSS on Starfield
Review about it and it is hard to unsee it
The CoD guns are modified for legal reasons, but not for copyright. It's to cut ties with the gun industry and take themselves out American tragedies. Especially after the revelations about Remington and MW2.
Mainly for legal liability purposes. They don't want to be sued by anyone after a tragedy
Yea especially with the whole remington and activison deal. Even if they want to you cant anymore as its illegal at least in california
that’s exactly what i was thinking
@@smileyr Struck down months ago.
@@kanrakucheese If thats true great news then. I mean I dont keep up with news esspecially in California so.
Correction the stock thats on the Fostech Origin is an MFT Battlelink AR15 minimalist stock. Which is not its own design but an off the wall stock you can purchase.
sideways weapon holding irl is used when
1. you are moving trough really enclosed enviroment and want to make you weapon shorter basicaly you put butstock on your shoulder for entering doors in pair etc. and/or fire in point blank range
2. when using nvg with ir pointer then you do not need optic sights to be in you line of sight
1:33 thank you, finally someone said it out loud
I remember when MW3 gave us the option to put a sight on the side of the guns that to me was the first time CoD made an attempt for doing that close quarters turning the gun by the side. If any of yall remember the mission in MW3 where you, Price and Soap were sneaking in the dark town pass Makarovs men, you are issued in the game is a RSASS suppressed and a red dot on the side for close range shooting. Then it never came back for a while. I thought it was a cool idea should’ve kept using it with the next CoD games after MW3
Love where the evolution of this show has gone, especially the CoD episodes.
Love this dude!
Makes me wanna visit the place he works and hopefully meet him one day
Give us some weapons from MWII introduced in all those 6 seasons. Also maybe show some blueprints. I would like to see J. react to Geist, FFAR Avancer, Victus, Iso Hemlock, Iso 45, KV Broadside, Coronen Squall, Intervention, and Mx Guardian, 9mm Deamon with inspect animation.
And do it please in MWII not III so J. can see and hear this glorious art design.
11:03 for unholy reasons you can put a stilt optic on the guns with carry handles, which makes them remarkably tall.
You can also put a masterkey on your shotgun with a secondary shotgun that also has its own masterkey
that's up there with one of the games letting you put a scope on your akimbo pistols.
It's always nice to see the Scorpion Evo3 get some screen time.
Another week of asking for Jonathan’s reaction to Killzone weapons pls🙏
Love that Jonnathan wants to show the Skorpion because it's a new acquisition
2:05 "he took a left on Albuquerque" killed me
I think this episode might be the funniest one so far in the series 😂
Comment from a Belgian, the way Jordan says FN Minimi is the correct way to pronounce it. Thank you👍
There’s a part two. Things is starting to get SPICY 😂😂😂
Always look forward to these videos. Even if I don’t always enjoy the games. Haven’t tried out MW3. But I will at some point.
mw3 is pretty fun! they seem to have ditched realism and stuff for gameplay, which means there’s a lot of wacky stuff going on but it feels good!
@@ando2421Good realism doesn't belong in CoD
@@mikeyplayz8438 ah it should to an extent IMO, that’s what the series started out with. they go a bit overboard these days with the skins, i’m tired of that half invisible tree woman running around
@ando2421 she's getting nerfer though which is good. Took them long enough
Its got some glowing reviews it definitely seems like its worth trying out for 70 dollars
"I think my torture is probably your entertainment at this point" M8, you caught us lol
Thank you as always
2:40 I believe the long grip and flared base is to increase positive grip when wearing thick gloves, especially if the user has large hands. Gripping it would, theoretically, squish the hand upward into the trigger guard, for a more solid feel to the grip, through gloves. This will allow the use of the weapon with higher efficacy in frost-bite conditions. (such as repelling a Winter Invasion along a Russian Boarder... likely from the Russians...)
I still want to see Jonathan react to Generation Zero, the guns of the player and Robots would be interesting.
Also Saints Row The Third Remastered would be nice too.
I am continuing this request in order to challenge myself to keep something going.
Could we have Mr. Ferguson react to the guns that have come out in Tarkov since the last time he’d seen the game
Seconded - there's been a bunch of new guns with the last couple of wipes, including ones I've never seen Jonathan cover
Hearing what you have to say about the XCOM weapons would be fun!
"Of course, of course you did Dave"
Shots fired on that one 😅
Pretty cool video mate.
The MG36 was supposed to have a heavier barrel, but after they found out that it has no positive influence they ditched it - it's basically a G36 in a LMG dress. And the short commings of the G36 regarding accuracy was due to the sight mounting our army used, they switched to rails as temporary fix till we get new rifles
Are you referring to the three screws that hold down the carry handle?
@@Frozen_Thorn Don't know which part of the assembly exactly causes the issue, but substained fire can wiggle the sighting components loose
@@TotallyNotAFox Ah, okay. I probably won't have to worry about it with my sl8 then. Thanks.
I would prefer showing more stock versions of the guns. Very fun video as always in this series
Ground Branch would be a good game to examine. It's a realistic tac shooter with a lot of attention to detail
Nice shirt. Good to see C&Rsensal getting some love
I really want to see Jonathan break down.
Thank you for noticing the reversed text, that's just EVERYWHERE in Modern CoD now...
10:05 the level 100 colonel from battlefield friends unlocked the bipod for his bipod in this game
@21:37 "Thanks Florida!" I would love to see Johnathan go to a range in the US and go HAM
I feel like after watching this, I realized that the devs don't just rip the guns from some asset library that makes them look perfect, and that they make the guns from scratch with reference pictures. Also it probably has something to do with the fact that the gun manufacturers are fictional in the cod world. This is very much different from Vanguard.
I think they intentionally make the guns look just different enough for legal reasons
Infamously devs often use airsoft or even toy guns as reference, either in person or unknowingly using screenshots. It's led to some funny errors, and is part of why you're told to never use someone else's work as reference but most game devs don't have nearly enough time on their hands to get in range time, or handle real firearms.
@@lukerichardson2404 Yeah, but for most guns there's no a real reason to do that. One example where this applies, as Jonathan often points out, is ArmaLite, because there's a copyright on the designation AR15. For most other models and manufacturers they just do it for plausible deniability, but for example, for the AK47, there's no reason because officially there's no gun model or platform that's actually called "AK47" (not to be mistaken with the AK74). Nevertheless, Copyright law is scary, so they do it anyway. Other games will model and name guns correctly, so this is mostly a CoD thing to do. What I really don't understand is changing countries of origin. That's just insulting in my opinion
Imagine being killed on an actual battlefield with a "Call of Duty limited edition CZ Scorpion"
I take it we’re not getting an analysis on that p90 ar-15 hybrid we got in the flash back mission with Makarov
2:17 this makes me wonder, does this series have any influence on what guns the museum ends up getting? (I assume minor if any)
You would think the Soap tribute gun would either be a G36C or an MP5SD3, not a Chinese gun that never showed up in any of the original Modern Warfare games.
Bf4 had a usable bipod for the famas
Continuing to enjoy increased Jonathan-Dave banter.
The DG-58 is an amalgamation of QBZ, Civilian Type 97, and Canadian aftermarket furniture.
9:47 we just aren’t gonna talk about the two bipods on the g36
If I get the chance I'd love to visit the Royal Armouries Museum, just to look at the guns (and maybe say hi to Johnathan)
I really want to see Jonathan break down the guns from Postal 2
I thought you said portal 2 for a second and honestly that'd be funny
I wish you could use the thumbhole stock of the DM56 on other Holger/G36 variants. I want to put it on the MG36 so I can almost perfectly replicate the AR from FEAR.
previous CoD's have had usable FAMAS bipods, MW2019 definately did
CoD's bipods do go on the surface you mount on. they don't normally hover, but I think they can at certain angles due to limitations
the "COR-45" is canonically not a proper in universe Glock, the actual Glock 21 equivalent is the X16 from MW2019 (made by "XRK"), its a clone produced by another company ("Corvus Defense") which is why it looks so different
Seems like the Jonathan got his C&Rsenal Shirts earlier than I did
So we dont Talk about the fact that in 19:55 the chamber was checked with a Blue Shell in it and ejected a green one
