By screwing around wherever the game seems unstable. I should know, I’ve been searching for glitches ever since I saw this video! Haven’t found anything useful though.......
People probably randomly found certain instances of these glitches, then tried those same glitches in similar places elsewhere, and then refined a setup for those locations in order to make getting them to happen more consistent. These boundaries are so poorly done, it's not hard to imagine someone just diagonally walking into a wall and accidentally discovering that it's possible to just pop through.
For once I can say that you are wrong. You're not softlocked and it's very easy to get back in bounds. Move the trio left until the camera lines up in the middle of the room. Then move downwards whilst continuously jumping. You should now be able to see the trio. Finally, simply walk back in bounds without touching the exit and then you can leave the Lakitu Info Center like nothing happened. I figured that out on my OWN! I expect more from you. I'm looking at you Aurum.
Fun fact: After you get stuck in the Lakitu Center after the credits screen, you can ACTUALLY escape. All you need to do is trio plane which would allow you to walk on the side so walk toward the back exit door and use trio plane again to the left, if it doesn't work just fidget around a bit and you'll fall from the roof. If you actually go back to the area were you fought the Bowsers the platform that took you to them is gone and walking to it crashes your game
purseit/Marioplaysgames Thank you! It worked! I was a little dissapointed when I did all of my glitching for a softlock, so I'm glad you can actually escape! Also, the game crashing thing is true! It's SOOOOO weird, but so cool!

@@andrewderrico1500 well that's what she goes by when she's inside Bowser's body since she tells him that's her name to hide who she really is so Bowser doesn't know what's going on even though she almost let's it slip sometimes that Mario and Luigi are in his body with her
Also when u enter neo bowser castle after the credits roll by the platform that takes u to the Bowsers has moved on and approaching it will crash the game as it tries to play a cutscene that's no longer there also once u teleport to the Lakitu Info Center where you initiated the glitch you can escape but the Mario Bros are off screen so wiggle the circle pad and they will eventually escape. Somehow I managed to get out of the post-game softlock. It turns out it puts you or I somehow got myself right above the building and by walking away from the camera everyone fell out. So that's cool!
i have so far onl6 find some minor glitches like they keep floating in water instead of sinking after a battle and you can clip in a block by spamming high jump to punch it
Well I found a basis for a possible glitch in SSDX. One of the rooms in Gwarhar Lagoon has a certain spot that makes Mario stutter in place. I'll research this some more.
I once got paper Mario and Luigi stuck on a log in gloomy woods. I could run around freely as Mario. It only lasted in the room. It was fun, yet I couldn't recreate it. I have tried.
I got a run in under an hour, but if this shows how broken this game is, I used a completely different route and somehow even ended up in the castle without trio grab. Also there is a tree blocking the way to north gloomy at one point that you can super easily clip past by just holding torwards the wall.
Mario & Luigi: We had to give up Collision to program in Paper Mario.

It's not actually softlocked. All you need to do is align the camera with the center of the room and then jump while moving forwards a few times
they should put the Dash Socks in every M&L game from now on

After the credits when you're spawned in the lakitu center, you aren't soft locked. Just move around and eventually you'll return to normal.
Imagine someone following this step by step and being absolutely crushed when they realise their save file is softlocked at the end.
