this never happen to me. i just thought i had to find the killer who was an dark elf that turn on everyone. i think i knew it was here or something but ya things got out of hand. i dont even think i talked to everyone before their was magic flying everywhere. crazy times crazy times indeed.
zerokura So what you're saying is that basically, you didn't kill or talk to anyone and they just randomly started killing each other? If so how long were you there until that happened? and more importantly did you steal anything? lol
My favourite bit about Whodunit is how re-playable it is. The order you kill them in creates such different reactions and there's some pretty tragic outcomes (like the Dunmer killing the Nord even though she reminded him of his daughter). I also remember a Thieves Guild quest where you have to break someone out of jail but it turns into this really creepy mystery when you find out all the prisoners are being abducted one-by-one by "The Pale Lady". That really caught me off guard.
Oh man, i gotta share some funny trivia about the Sheogorath Shrine Quest. So, if you start the Quest with the Shivering Isles DLC while supposed to actually be doing a Quest for Sheogorath in his own realm, he'll comment on how you're not doing what he told you. Also, if you start the Quest with the Shivering Isles DLC AFTER completing the Main Story inside of it, his Butler will ask why you're praying to yourself, before giving you the quest instead.
To add to this, if you don't have The Shivering Isles installed, there's a different voice actor than the one used for Shivering Isles and Skyrim, which sounds much better suited for "The Prince of Madness" IMO.
love oblivion quests and fun fact: in the party quest if you kill guests secretley one by one, and Neville is the last one left, he will approach youi in his old imperial guard armor and speak some unique dialogue
I've only played Oblivion once as I got it quite recently and it took me a while to get into it, but I've played through most of the quests now. I did Shivering Isles right at the end, and went in knowing only two things about it: Sheogorath is involved, and it seems to be regarded as possibly the best DLC from Bethesda Game Studios. I expected to be disappointed, but it really lived up to the hype.
Reflect damage. My character is level 37, heavy armor, quickly capped on endurance, dozens of health potions crafted by himself at 100 alchemy with expert equipment. And he has the Escutcheon of Chorrol. I walked into the Imperial city and started a fight. 4 or 5 watchmen attacking me at once, i just walked around taking no damage due to the over time health restoration from the potions, and they slowly died from the damage reflection. I only lost when my armor eventually broke. Eventually like 13 watchmen were dead I still only have like skill level 60 in block, so I'm thinking of just blocking atatcks from now on in fights, and let the reflections do the work. Most OP character I've had.
The strangest quest for me was the one with the "Pale Lady" in Skingrad prison. Apparently she was a vampire and used to come once in a while to drain the blood of the prisoners. In the meantime the count of Skingrad is Janus Hassildor, a vampire himself, who despite being a vampire himself, he claims that he despises his kind because he fears that a vampire clan would attempt to make everyone in Skingrad vampires and he wanted to protect his people, yet he apparently seems to have to problem with that "Pale Lady". Although a connection between that "Pale Lady" and Janus Hassildor is never stated, or even implied, it sounded really logical to me since guards didn't seem to mind that a random "Lady" was "visiting" prisoners the moment the prison itself was restricted to the public. One more thing: After killing the "Pale Lady", Janus Hassildor enterer the same cell, but didn't do anything, he didn't even spoke to me. I assumed that the developers removed the part that was connecting that "Pale Lady" and Hassildor because they wanted to make him seem righteous, despite being a vampire. Anyway, I just wanted to point that out. PS: I read somewhere that Bethesda stated that Hassildor was alive and well by fourth era (Skyrim timeline.) but never appeared or mentioned in the game. Wonder if they will mention him in future releases...
Well, there's some dialogue implying that the Pale Lady was collecting blood to feed the Countess, who was in a coma from not drinking any blood despite her Vampirism.
I honestly respect your love for oblivion and it makes me happy to see how much you favor the magical older game over the newer game. I personally share this love of oblivion myself as it may not look better but I like the graphics style and the way it is played!
Love these, the voice acting range of the Grey Fox made the Thieves Guild even better than it already was. I wanted to hear him talk all the time.. CAPITAL!
It was so good that you had to go to many cities to progress the guilds in Oblivion and Morrowind. I also really liked the story. However, there is a major problem with Oblivion's mage guild: You did not need any magical abilities at all. Only in one quest you ever need to use spells, as far as I remember (Fireball and healing on target). And I'm sure they could come from staves.
@@hopium5699 I read somewhere that College of winterhold quest line was gonna end with some time travel shit and you being the cause of the great collapse. If that was true it would be dope I think

The best i had experience playing Oblivion is Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood. Best reward i got was Skeleton Key and The Gray Fox helmet, i still love it. Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim wasn't good at all but the armor at end of quest was good, and you couldn't get Skeleton Key after the quest.
My only complaint about the Thieves Guild quest in Oblivion was that there was *a lot* of lockpicking, which meant I made *a lot* of quick saves before each lockpick attempt, yes Thieves would revolve around lockpicking but come on, and I'm pretty sure you get the Skeleton key from a Daedric quest not from DB or TG, trust me, I have every achievement so I know this, and if you mean the SK in Skyrim, you do realize you can keep that as long as you want, as long as you don't give it back, and since it counts as a quest item it can't be removed from your inventory. The Cowl of the Gray Fox is ok if you're good at getting hidden from guards, because if you're seen taking it on and off you get in trouble regardless
If you are able to level up your acrobatics high enough you actually don't need to use the boots of springheel jack to land the fall without dying. When this is done you are able to keep the boots of springheel jack and essentially be able to jump from any height without dying. Oh and the best part is they don't break or disappear from your inventory. Only the prompt after the fall breaks them completely. Happy Jumping!

The Great Heist is my most favorite quest of all time. All that build up, the arrow in the keyhole, and the nervous wreck I was in front of the moth priests, only to fall to what should be your death. Then you get the resolution with the count/countess of Anvil. Best quest in any game to date I've done.
Some of my favorite independent quests are Where Spirits Have Lease (getting Benirus Manor), Order of the Virtuous Blood (ironic Vampire slayer quest), A Shadow Over Hackdirt (Lovecraftian quest), and Zero Visibility (Dead Town, disembodied voice).
There IS actually a murder mystery quest in Morrowind. It actually is in Seyda Neen, if I spelled that right, the town the game drops you in when you start a new game. You hear rumors about a tax collector, which not many liked, has gone missing. You can find his dead body just a little to the north of town, and bring the news to the town’s head guard. You talk to a few people, and eventually you’re led onto a path and find the murderer then kill him. It’s not very long or interesting, but hey, it’s a murder mystery.
the 3rd one has to be the most memorable quest for me. I tried to be all sneaky and smart about it so I talked to the people first and got these dudes to be really protective over this elf girl, i could've used that to isolate them but instead i chose to kill the old lady and the guard first because i didn't like them, however when i came back to the other guests shit broke lose, the elf chick went bananas and started attacking the other guys, the guys, infatuated with the elf started attacking each other to "protect" the chick but she ended killing both of them, i was hella confused so i just stood there watching, once it was done i went to speak with the girl and she... she had the fucking nerve to suggest that i was the killer, since only the two of us were remaining WELL IT HAD TO BE ME RIGHT? SHE TOLD ME THIS AS SHE HAD 2 BODIES NEXT TO HER AND A BLOODY DAGGER IN HER HAND i just... anyways killing her after that wasn't so hard. I'll always remember fondly that assassination quest where that one bitch went crazy
Best thing about the Sheogorath Shrine Quest if you do it after The Shivering Isles instead of Sheogorath talking to you from the Shrine, it is Haskill who contacts and tells you that the previous Sheogorath had some unfinished buisness that was cut short by the Greymarch and Haskill asks you to complete the prank as a sign that you are begging to take on the role as the New Sheogorath and that the rain of fiery dogs was your doing.
I love oblivion so much. I remembered all these quest and all it does is make me wanna play it again. It has no where near as many quest as skyrim and you can actually do everything in oblivion in no time but its quality over quanity. I think the dark brotherhood quest where you play out who done it at the dinner party is probably my favorite because you can turn people against each other. I remember sneaking into the bedrooms when one would go to sleep and slit their throat and watched others blaming each other lol
@@bleepbloop6234 Yes didn't know that worked there. Now I know a second quest where that happens. So thanks. The other that I've always used was the daedra quest where everyone gets naked. When you get your clothes back at the shrine at the end of it the same thing happens. Same with the attributes to the Amulet reward for completely the Pale Pass quest. You get permanent 15% resist magic I think it was and some permanent Agility points as well.
Oblivion's quests are always a number one bet for me. The battle for Bruma where Martin helps defends Bruma as the great gate open still give me the goosebumps.
I think anybody with any sense would. Oblivion failed in a lot of areas but fuck did they do quests right. I mean if they took the good from Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim and put it into the next TES game it would be perfect. I mean just get all the teams together and do the next game with all of them there. lol
@@Scorchcast The problem is: Why would they take the good from those games? They didn't take the good from Oblivion and Morrowind or Fallout 3 when they made Skyrim. At least what good they took from those games, they made it worse.
A good piece of consististency is that if you do the shivering isles before sheogoraths shrine quest Haskill will answer instead of him. Im relatively new to the game so you probably already know but still a cool thing to me.
There is a crime solving quest in Morrowind (more with the expansions) where you find out who killed Ralen Hlaalo (sp?) in Balmora. It's short but you can be rewarded no matter what house you're in. In Bloodmoon you can solve who stole hides within the Skaal and in Tribunal you have several mysteries. It's seriously fun to do the one where you are an actor in a play.
I LOVED all of the Thieve's Guild missions, I was bored and started killing a few guards in the imperial city and I got a letter. From my knowledge in Skyrim I figured it was the Dark Brotherhood. But it was the Thieve's Guild. I decided to build my char on stealth and security from then on, and all of the missions brought excitement and a desperation to pick a lock without breaking your last lockpick, and not get caught! My favorite mission had to be the Bravil castle robbery, when you had to retrieve the ring. Remembering the guard's patrol patterns and sneaking thought her bedroom (Insert joke) was to fun, and then either quickly rushing out or sneaking out of the castle felt so accomplishing.
Some of the best quests are from the Dark Brotherhood. I don't usually do DB quests, since I never play sneaky characters and am usually a "good guy", but some of them are really fun. There's one called 'Whodunit?' where you're locked in a mansion with 5 other people, and you have to lure them into secluded areas and kill them off one by one. They all get paranoid, and start accusing each other. It's pretty fun.
Doing the Shivering Isles first, then the Sheogorath quest would make it even more mad. You ask yourself to go collect a lettuce and yarn, and offer them to yourself, and begin talking to yourself about how to fuck with a town of cats...
Wow, I played this game every single day through and through (or so I thought) as a kid. And the first two quests I had no knowledge about. Just goes to show you how in-depth Oblivion is.
great list of quests, Oblivion had so many different and varied quest compared to Skyrim, some other good ones that werent on this list is the one where you have to go into a painting and help the artist come back, and a quest ive never heard anyone talk about is in a little village close to the Imperial city where you have to find a night and he has a neverending pitcher of water and you have to find his frozen tears loved that quest!
When you exit the shaft on the Ultimate Heist quest there are ways to land without destroying the boots of Springheel Jack! It was quite some time ago but I believe I used a Scroll of Might gained as a reward for helping a crazy man find another place to sleep besides his own house (because he was afraid the walls would fall on him) from a Shivering Isles (Oblivion Expansion) quest. I miss these games.
Whodunit was fun and hilarious as hell how they all trust me and don't suspect a thing it's so fun getting them to turn on eachother and never suspect me.I was hoping you said that quest.
I'd like to mention the quest with Glarthir, the paranoid Bosmer in Skingrad. That was when Bethesda still had the courage to troll the player. I remember spending a whole ingame day hiding in bushes and watching some harmless woman working her vineyard.
I hear ya. As enjoyable as it is replaying it, it is never like the first time where everything to see and do is a grand adventure and an amazing wonder.
Oblivion has amazing intricate quests as the norm. Skyrim is lucky if it can get a good one. Bethesda opted to add radiant quests into the mix. Which turns out to be fetch quests and kill this guy with a different name. Rinse and repeat it gets old quickly. It kills me how much Bethesda was bragging about their radiant quests. As if they were the holy grail of gaming. They however turned out to be the bane of gamers. They either need to improve upon then or get rid of them. Personally I'd prefer if they removed them except for post guild line quests. What good is it to have a game never ending if the player isn't going to sludge through most of it? Hell they design their games that way. Hence why their games lack meaningful choices and classes. That is counter intuitive to these kinds of games.
Well it seemed implied. You say how awesome the quests are that oblivion made and then you say they brag about how great their quests but in a way that implies they don’t have the right too.
part of the fun of the ultimate heist is the quests that all come before it. obtaining all the items that you need for the quest, the arrow, the boots, the glass ball
I got to admit oblivion quests were the most fun I've had in a TES game

You hear rumors about a tax collector, which not many liked, has gone missing. You can find his dead body just a little to the north of town, and bring the news to the town’s head guard. You talk to a few people, and eventually you’re led onto a path and find the murderer then kill him.
It’s not very long or interesting, but hey, it’s a murder mystery.
And Ralen Hlaalo in Balmora and a serial killer in Vivec. Morrowind actually had quite a few murder mystery quests.
the 3rd one has to be the most memorable quest for me.
Wow I have certainly never had that happen during the quest, sounds pretty crazy!!!
one of the greatest and funniest thing in a bethesda game is when things definitely don't go as planned :'D
That is for certain. Bethesda games are pretty good at that.
1000 bees in a trenchcoat iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikikiiiiiiiiii
great video man keep uploading :P
Love your content!
Thanks I am glad you guys like it!
Oh shit I didn't think I'd see you here metagoblin.
I'm everywhere.
MetaGoblin ok I'm scared now
I’m so glad there is a TH-camr who plays oblivion with some actual quality vids oblivion was my favorite game since I was like 8
2016 and someone beyond me play and like Oblivion, haha. Fantastic video, success !
You better believe it!
Im my opinion, Obivion is the best and most replayable Elderscrolls game. Its amazing.
You have a pretty good opinion.
ViriZie I completely agree with you, Oblivion is a splendid game that will never fall into oblivion.
Well said.
The Bloated Float was literally the first inn I slept in upon reaching level 2, what an amazing introduction to Oblivion
Am I the only one who enjoys the persuasion wheel?
It's corky and fun.
All of the quests you mentioned I agree with!! They were so memorable I got a nostalgia rush watching this.
Just started playing Oblivion.
It's a great game.
Love your Oblivion vids man, brings me back. Makes me want a remake.
oblivion rules! thumbs up if you be playing it in 2017!!
Can't thumbs-up comments on mobile.
you can...
+iTz ExoBot
Well for some reason every mobile device has a different layout for TH-cam, on this one I have to go to Google Plus. eugh.
Dumb mobile devices!
Expose1Ne Productions its the best TES game
Best thing about the Sheogorath Shrine Quest if you do it after The Shivering Isles instead of Sheogorath talking to you from the Shrine, it is Haskill who contacts and tells you that the previous Sheogorath had some unfinished buisness that was cut short by the Greymarch and Haskill asks you to complete the prank as a sign that you are begging to take on the role as the New Sheogorath and that the rain of fiery dogs was your doing.
Still playing oblivion in 2019
I love oblivion so much.
How have I not found you sooner!? The springheel jack shoes bit had me dying!
Haha, ya that part was pretty great!
Oblivion did have some amazing quests. Morrowind had interesting quests but Oblivion was hands down the best when it came to quests.
+Aditsan ya I absolutely agree with this.
Im relatively new to the game so you probably already know but still a cool thing to me.
i subscribed because of this guy's eyebrows
There is a crime solving quest in Morrowind (more with the expansions) where you find out who killed Ralen Hlaalo (sp?) in Balmora. It's short but you can be rewarded no matter what house you're in. In Bloodmoon you can solve who stole hides within the Skaal and in Tribunal you have several mysteries. It's seriously fun to do the one where you are an actor in a play.
This is great you deserve way more subscribers
thanks man.
An unexpected voyage is actually one of my favorite quests along with the dark brotherhood quest line and the shivering isles
I had to skip the thieve's guild mission in the video, didn't complete it yet.
Ya that quest is definitely worth experiencing first hand.
The Cantina Yeah, I feel like Oblivion may be the best Elder Scrolls game, at the moment, although Skyrim is still really fun.
Skyrim is definitely good but Oblivion is easily the best. The story just isn't there for Skyrim.
The Cantina Yeah! I hope the new Elder Scrolls will be as great, or even better than Oblivion, but we'll just have to wait and see.
"The wabbajack!..bet you werent expecting that were ya?!"
Do Shivering Isles first, then do Sheogorath's Daedric quest =]
I have lol Shivering Isles was one of my favourite Elder Scrolls expansions
Doing the Shivering Isles first, then the Sheogorath quest would make it even more mad. You ask yourself to go collect a lettuce and yarn, and offer them to yourself, and begin talking to yourself about how to fuck with a town of cats...
I liked "Through a Nightmare, Darkly" where you inception to save a guy by solving dream puzzles
in the bloated float if you move the cup in your room youl find the treasure
+Pessimistic Bunny wait what!
The Cantina do it
is that the "Hidden Bag" with gems in it?
I loved that Dark Brotherhood quest you mentioned, and the one where you dropped that animal head on a person.
Wow, I played this game every single day through and through (or so I thought) as a kid. And the first two quests I had no knowledge about. Just goes to show you how in-depth Oblivion is.
When I went back to make this video I discovered some quests that I had never played either, there is just so much to this game.
great list of quests, Oblivion had so many different and varied quest compared to Skyrim, some other good ones that werent on this list is the one where you have to go into a painting and help the artist come back, and a quest ive never heard anyone talk about is in a little village close to the Imperial city where you have to find a night and he has a neverending pitcher of water and you have to find his frozen tears loved that quest!
Oblivion>Skyrim. Love both games btw but Oblivion will always be my first TES
Agreed. Morrowind was my first and I love it, but Oblivion just had such amazing story.
Great stuff, really funny!
Just finished canvas the castle and loved every second of it.
At the beginning I was like bitch that's not oblivion
Haha I am amazed more people haven't commented about that.
Indeed the best oblivion quests in oblivion
Whodunit was fun and hilarious as hell how they all trust me and don't suspect a thing it's so fun getting them to turn on eachother and never suspect me.I was hoping you said that quest.
+Sedeanimugamez ya that quest is definitely great. Never gets old.
The great thing about Sheogorath one is, if you do it AFTER completing the Shivering Isles DLC, the intro is a lot different in a hilarious way.
every time i watch a video from this channel i for some reason expect to hear the cantina theme from star wars >.
The Ultimate Heist was easily my favourite. I still go back to the game just to play that quest
i never use the persuasion thing i just go make a charm spell
I'd like to mention the quest with Glarthir, the paranoid Bosmer in Skingrad. That was when Bethesda still had the courage to troll the player. I remember spending a whole ingame day hiding in bushes and watching some harmless woman working her vineyard.
Lul, lockpicks? 75 alteration.
Haha that works too.
My favourite quest was the one you go into the painting then into a new world. Thought that was really really creative.
simply said oblivion is the best game ever made imo.
That's a pretty accurate statement.
Uka Uka My fav elder scrolls game of all. I've sunk so many hours into this game
You spelt Mass Effect 2 wrong.
You spelled 'spelled' wrong.
Mass effect 2? Almost as bad as Deus Ex, portal and half life.
This is such a throwback and I never even watched this video before.
"He's a fraud!" xD
I realy liked Hackdirt quest. I feelt like I was in some horror movie.
Hackh!
I'VE FOUGHT MUDCRABS MORE FEARSOME THAN YOU!!
@@misspopcoin2204 I'VE FOUGHT RATS MORE FEARSOME THAN YOU.
Good list! Another really good one is the quest where you go around trying to find all those old Alyied trophies
I agree with that.
I played oblivion once, then became a vampire and couldn't be in daylight without dying so yea.
You know that there's a cure right?
I had an ultra character and got stuck outside as a vampire i kept i had to delete my save to save my sanity because i kept dying 😣
Samsid Yes but my lockpicks broke at the vampire's chamber and I never came back.
The Ultimate Heist is a good quest. It's puts you're thief skills to the ultimate test. I also love the Whodunit quest.
Bought oblivion 2 weeks ago. 60 hours.
Sounds about right.
I wish I could go back and play it again for the first time, it's so much fun
I hear ya. As enjoyable as it is replaying it, it is never like the first time where everything to see and do is a grand adventure and an amazing wonder.
The Cantina what's your favorite build?
best elder scrolls game in my opinion
I like how when you fight the statues, in the ultimate heist, that their weapons disintegrate when you try and pick them up.
I have a real quest for you sheogorath needs cheese for a cheese party he is throwing
I will take this quest and sheogorath will have the cheese for his party!!!!
I liked the quest where you help the bosmer guy uncover a conspiracy, but he’s actually just really paranoid
Joe Kelso or was he o_0
fafnir is a reference to the greedy dragon
Fafnir is the Nordic name of a dragon in Germanic mythology.
The Giant Club and massive throne were most likely used by the Minotaur Emperor that ruled for a little while, he was Saint Alessia's son I think.
You do realize that Bethesda made every single one of the elder scrolls games right including oblivion and Morrowind.
@@azazeraazymoto6520 Duh I never said anything to the contrary.
Well it seemed implied. You say how awesome the quests are that oblivion made and then you say they brag about how great their quests but in a way that implies they don’t have the right too.
@@azearaazymoto461 Huh? I was praising Oblivion's quests and vilivifing Skyrim's radiant quests. So yes what I said did make sense.
part of the fun of the ultimate heist is the quests that all come before it. obtaining all the items that you need for the quest, the arrow, the boots, the glass ball
when you go down the fireplace without the scroll :( it suck's belive me
Indeed it does.
yeah and thare's no way back in cuz the door with the arrow close's
Ya if you don't have a recent save doing that mission over again is pretty disappointing.
i actually love the persuasion wheel minigame LOL
Oblivion quests are so good. Skyrim quests fucking suck.
I re-watch Cantina videos over and over. I just love how fun they are!
Have to agree. Ultimate Heist is probably the best quest ever from ANY RPG that I've played!
