This guide came right on time. Just got Game Pass and I’m playing all the Fallout/Elder Scrolls classics. I just started playing Oblivion this week. Haven’t played it since 2006-2007, a game that introduced me to RPG.
Azura's Star is also the only Soul Gem big enough to contain the souls of Almalexia and Vivec in Morrowind. So if you want to take vengeance upon those wannabe Gods by turning them into some magic common panties here's your chance ✌
It is, indeed, possible to use Oghma Infinium to complete the Blood of the Daedra quest. You don't need to complete the quest to start Mora's quest, just proceed to the part where Martin asks for an artefact. The line from Martin is "Not many could resist the temptation of Oghma Infinium. Now it's my turn to be put to the test!"
I never once decided to go after for all of the shrines, nor completed the main quest mostly I spent more time exploring and never done either the dark brotherhood or thieves' guilds quest line mostly due to the knights of the nine armor, but knowing there is a ring that specializes in stealth really helps.
Bro your missing out on so much, I’d suggest create a new game and play the dark brotherhood, and thieves guild then so knights of the nine. The thieves guild and dark brotherhood is what makes this game bloody brilliant
@@nicholausstevens1262 sure, but its still outclassed in all-around damage by weapons like Goldbrand, Chillrend, and literally any other weapon that you enchant with a sigil stone, or custom enchants
@@cardboard255 yeah, I wish the game had actual unique items like Morrowind did. They need to bring back Artifacts and Daedric Artifacts being separate things, they were all really cool and had a use for something. The uniques in oblivion and Skyrim are laughable at how much better you can make a basic weapon.
For real, I would love to get all the artifacts in Morrowind it's just a hassle skimming the wiki for information. Also I would love to just see him lose his mind getting Eltonbrand lmao.
@@thebotdestroyer852 honestly, if you have a good levitate/speed spell then yeah it is. The only ACTUALLY tedious part is not being able to fast travel from vivec to ald ruhn. The 11k gold and vampirism is pretty easy to get.
My favorite thing about Sheogorath's daedric quest is the dialogue changes depending on your progression in the Shivering isles the first and biggest change is the voice changes the instant you install shivering isles to Wes's performance as the daedric prince of madness in the dlc and after a certain point haskill talks to you that could be an interesting video to do also fun fact Umbra's armor is technically leveled if you grab it before when ebony armor normally spawns (level 20 iirc) it'll be orcish in stats otherwise it'll have ebony stats
It actually changes in various ways, I'll list them below (Put in read more because it's a long comment) Never visiting the Shivering Isles "Another mortal dares to summon me, and already I am bored. But enough about me. Let's talk about you. I could turn you into a goat. Or a puddle. Or a bad idea. I could make you eat your own fingers. Or fall in love with a cloud. Perhaps I could make you into something useful. Let's find out." Not visited Sheogorath yet, but entered SI "Does my Champion summon me? Before I've even told you what to do? That's not very Champion-y. Not at all! This is when I should smite you. Give you a serious smiting. Completely smitten. When I tell you to do something, I generally mean it. I suppose there's something I can have you do while you're here, though. A little errand. And a lot of fun" Not started "Cold flame of argon" "A mortal? Wait... a mortal I know. MY mortal. What are you doing here, mortal, when I've given you things to do? This is when I should smite you. Give you a serious smiting. Completely smitten. When I tell you to do something, I generally mean it. I suppose there's something I can have you do while you're here, though. A little errand. And a lot of fun" (I'll just condense the "Smiting" thing to [same as above]) Doing "Cold flame of argon" but not completed it "You would summon me? Wait... why are YOU summoning me? You've got things to do. Things I told you to do. This makes me frown... [same as above]" Doing "Ritual of Accession" "Mortal! You could have just stopped by to see Me. Would have saved you some lettuce, you know. I believe I'm displeased... [same as above]" Not started "Symbols of the office" "This hardly seems the time to summon me. Not when Order is busy invading My Realm. Your mortals are just a hoot. I hate hoots... [same as above]" Not started "Prince of Madness" (Haskill speaking) "You, of all people, should realize this is an inopportune time to be in Cyrodiil. Perhaps I've misjudged you. Order is at our doorstep, yet you felt it necessary to offer some yarn to... yourself. An interesting choice, to be sure. Time is a strange thing in the Isles, so this may not set us back, and there is a task that needs to be performed." If you've started "Princess of Madness" (Haskill) "Praying to yourself, my Lord? That's not a good sign. Or perhaps it is. Prince of Madness, and all that. While I believe that you should be attending to your duties, it is, of course, your prerogative to spend time wherever you wish. Your predecessor did have one task He wanted performed, though He never found a mortal suited for the task."
This is easily the most fun quest line in the game. And the reward for completion (Ogham Infinium) is better than any other quest reward. The value of a permanent +10 for two attributes and three skills is beyond measure.
If you're on PC and you've finished the Shivering Isles questline, you can just sacrifice the Wabbajack and then console in a new one. It's YOUR artifact, after all. 😜
I like making a custom reflect spell item, reverse pickpocketing it onto an NPC, quicksaving, and then using the Skull of Corruption on them until I get a clone of myself. Seems like it'd be a convoluted way to have a good time.
Well I did the mages guild questions first and had several unlock spells going all the way up to very hard locks so I decided to give away the skeleton key
I just can't bring myself to do the really evil quests so I'll never complete all these. Spell breaker is insane when combined with that amazing ring which has 50% magic resist and 35% reflect magic. I just love Azura's star though.
I wonder how these regular people keep managing to steal a daedric item from daedric princes. Like seriously how do you steal the eye nocturnal uses to see into the mortal world
Azura’s Star is actually one of the worst artifacts to give away because it has such high utility throughout the whole game. If you want to sacrifice an artifact, sacrifice Volendrung, the Masque, or that doppelgänger staff, those are arguably the least useful I think
Yeah I don't know what's up with the tournament of ten bloods. In my recent play through, the High elf literally walked her self backwards off into the lava.
I was reading the wiki when I found out you don't really need the main quest to find the book to trigger the Daedric Shrine topic, so that there are marks in your map You can just buy it from a book store like First Edition if you are looking to avoid doing the main quest at all
I usually use the Rose, mostly for the lore with Martin but also because a random Daedra summon isn't all that useful and you can always just summon your own.
Before giving Martin one of the artifacts I just use a duplication glitch to make a copy of one of the items to give to him so I have all artifacts in my collection.
guys, im dark elf warrior sign battlemage. Unless i take the path of shadow i will get multiple levelups from this book and 1 will have doomed stats? is there a fix?
Anyone still doing the malacath quest for Volendrung don't forget to kill the guards. If you don't they will follow you at weird times if you don't and attack anyone
No. It really should have been recovered as a part of the main quest though. During the brief period where your a mythic dawn agent. That way you can get out of their reach and use it on Dagon himself.
Could someone please tell me what to do about the creepiness of these dungeons, caves and ayleid ruins? How to make them look less uncanny/sinister and more comfortable to roam on? Is there some kind of mod that will not prevent me from playing this masterpiece?
What's up my brother? Do you know about efficient leveling in Oblivion? Depending on your build you just get high lvl without getting strong, if you level up "wrong"
The inclusion of Martin’s dialogue is S tier.

For Azura, will o wisps can be found right down the hill from the shrine, at lvl 2. Just did it yesterday

I have re-discovered this game since I got my steam deck. Some wonkiness in menus aside, it's very playable on the deck!
I started my first playthrough 1 week ago. It has been a long time since I have been this invested in a game
I recommend making downloading NorthernUI and disabling steam input
I did this in my last playthrough, got all the artifacts.
Feels good man.
Goldbrand is the best sword in the game. Umbra is used for recharging Goldbrand.
Not when you're basing it off of base damage. Umbra has the highest base damage of any one handed sword.
