hmm, you might have changed my mind about this now, I can see lots of uses for it, 800seems a lot but some good office chairs are much more, still too much for me, if it was £500 I might have been in.
As a seated and physically disabled VR player this looks AMAZING and now NEEDED! Hard to find good chairs that have flexibility needed and range of motion for VR gameplay!
As someone who plays seated 95% of the time, this is the most practical version of this type of VR accessory I've seen to date. Still too expensive though.
I have the original. and its worth it. You totally get your moneys worth out of it and then some. its VR on the next level. Trust me, I am an experienced user of the RotoVR. I have had the original one since 2021. I won't play anything without it.
That's a cool tech. I bought a really cheap rotating chair with adjustable height and a slightly heavy base. I use it for shooting games and other stuff all the time.
Interesting. I've never heard of this thing before thanks for sharing. The wheel and gas pedal Edition sounds like something I might be interested in depending on the price and features
Here's a neat idea you can suggest to the company. How about a standing up version for us who prefer to stand. I'm imagining some kind of platform you stand on with some kind of support system on the back of the unit (in back of the player) that probably goes around your waist to keep you from falling. And just like the chair, the platform spins while you turn your head.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 You know what would be kinda funny. If the unit knows your tipping over, and quickly spins you 180 degrees to cancel the downward momentum. 🤣But more practically, I agree, a heavy base on wheels perhaps. Perhaps the ability to add your own weights.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311thanks so much for your coverage. We are delighted. If you like, we will send you the following accessories at the end of this month: Controller holders Headset Holder Advance PC Cable Magazine (allows multiple USB 3.1 devices through the chair to PC) Pro Seat Pack We're adding these items to our website next week. Racing, flying and desktop accessories are next year. Regarding standing up: it's something we looked early on, and came to the same conclusion as you.
I have had the original Roto VR for a long time. It is the best VR accessory ever. I would recommend trying out Subnautica or even a simple game like Population one with it. The flight suit is amazing with it. I have my new one on order and can't wait for it to arrive.
I've been waiting for this one! Personally I don't have motion sickness very often as I always play standing up and physically rotate instead of using the controllers for the camera. But I have several friends that just dont have the space to pull that off. Will be sharing this video regularly I feel.
Nice!! You really convinced me that this is a good product. I was curious about it. But you're right, the price is definitely the downside. There's other things I'd rather glhave for that price right now.
Matteo, thank you for sharing this. It really is cool. I agree the $800 is going to be too much for me at this point. I'd rather not pay for rumble either. I am curious to see what they add for racing/space sim support. That would become more compelling.
"Final Destination scenario..." Oh my God, Matteo, you made me laugh out loud! 😂 The chair does sound pretty interesting, but yeah, that price for an accessory approaches eye-watering territory. Then again, with my (possibly) soon-to-be surgeried right knee, and my sister's disabilities that force her to do most things while seated, which has definitely effected how much she can enjoy VR, this still might be something we could use, if we pool our pennies. Thanks for a great discussion; we'll definitely be checking this out further.
Can you imagine using this chair playing the gun turret on the bomber plane in Medal of honor ! I should say that some of my most immersive experiences has been due to sitting down playing because its less demanding.
This is actually a great idea. Out of my price range tbh, but I'd definitely pick it up if it was closer to like half of the current price, that's just me though.
Being a disabled VR gamer, I currently have no choice but to sit down to play. Playing in my wheelchair has quite a few disadvantages though and often restrictive with movement. Something like this seems ideal! Maybe when I'm a big enough content creator like you I will be able to afford it 😅👍Great video dude
it's a good option for those that have limited space to do full motion and if they have a little more space they can swing and not worry about leaving there play area.
I am an over 50 yr old gamer, well I am 60 and I normally play using my gamer chair, I can spin around but it's a pain to move, no wheels, but I do like the cup holder, which this does not have, I can live w/o one. I do like this but the price is a bit much. My knees ain't bad, I just hate standing lol. Will there be a price drop
I use a office chair with whells that turns 360º with my feets. Thats already perfect for my FPS games. No need to auto turn the chair with this good for nothing device. I will never spend my money with this thing. Sorry. Although I am a great fan of your channel! Keep showing us this things! 🤟
But half the time, I don't want to rotate towards the direction I'm looking. Part of what makes vr good is that my view is separate from my direction. I can check over my shoulders, hold my gun forward and look to the sides, etc. This completely defeats that.
To be honest with you, standing in vr gets old fast. I usually only play for about an hour because it just gets physically tiring after I worked all day and come home to game. But at $800, idk man, thats a lot.
If this works with virtual desktop I'm sold this is how I play most of my pcvr games with virtual desktop streaming to my meta 3 and I turn myself around using my gaming chair with my feet because it's smoother than reprojection I get when using the controller to turn
I play everything seated in a $20 barstool with stick turning disabled if possible and I really don't see how this products adds anything for anyone who doesn't have physical disabilities preventing them from spinning around physically.
You nearly had me until you said the price. I understand why it costs so much but I feel it just won't sell well. I have really flat feet and standing in the one spot like you do in vr is pretty hard on them so this would have been awesome..
This peaked my interest cause, I'm fat and out of shape lmao and after a couple hours, my back starts to hurt so I've been looking into seated options but ultimately I slapped myself and said "what are you doing fat ass! get in shape dummy!" lmao so that's my plan but for those with actual conditions where standing isn't an option, this looks viable. I'm not thrilled with the "turning with your head" choice as I like to turn with the direction of the controller so my head is free to look around and then dang! that price tag!! I guess this is something for the whales among us lol :)
Just get a swiveling bar chair. It will be at least and equally immersive experience, and you will stop smashing into things and be able to play for longer. What about if you want to turn your head without turning your body? A swiveling bar chair will let you do that, but this won't or will it? If you turn your whole body, everytime you turn your head it makes absolutely no sense. The price is extreme too. I have lots of expensive VR accessories, but I am not sold on this one. I need more reviews and more in depth info if I am to get hyped. I am all for it if it serves a purpose, but I don't see it. But the price...
I can't get a lot of games I want to play seated to work well enough for this. I just stand and take the pain. The issue is. That if I want to play something like Onward, or Tactical Assault VR, then I set it to that seated mode. If I drop something, I'm screwed. Can't just go crouch everywhere. Certain actions like sprinting are useless crouched. So then you have to go slow. Which as someone partially crippled. It's kind of a kick in the dick honestly. I think this chair has uses, but i can also spin my pc chair for free.
As it's based on your head direction and not the vehicle you're in this holds little interest. If it could be bound to what you are sitting in and not your viewing direction I would love to use it for things like VTOL VR or Kayaking.
And how is this good for motion sickness? I got very interested when you said that at the start. But it wasn't explained or mentioned any further. Can you please explain this? And did you really have someone that suffers from it try it? I think you are unable to test that aspect yourself as you will have some vr legs by now. After many years of VR I still can't play a game without teleporting. That s....s
So I stayed purposely vague on the motion sickness claims because I don't experience it and I have no way to test but it is an aspect the manufacturers promote. Physically moving via their rotation helps offset the mismatch of sensations your brain is receiving
Wow you are fast! Thanks For now I usually play on a normal swivel chair so also some movement only powered by my feet instead of a motor. Still motion sick unfortunately. Send it over, I will test it for you😂@Gamingwithmatteo311
