In this video I am replacing the mower deck belt on a Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 Tools Needed 3/8 Ratchet 3/8 Socket 9/16 Socket 9/16 Wrench Parts Needed Mower Deck Belt
The biggest problem I am having is putting the belt on the front pully, I can't release enough tension to get it on the pully?? You skipped that part lol.
Sorry I skipped that part when I was working with the front pully coming off the motor I bent the rods that make sure the belt doesn’t come off. And once I got the belt back on I bent them back into place. I only bent them enough for the belt to come out. Sorry for skipping that part.
I just figured it out when the belt slipped the tension bar ended on the other side middle between the rear pin mounts had to lift and pull forward And Wall ya that spring to get back on the s mount I used a pull rope Remember Iam on a concrete floor 4” above ground No wonder the pros lift these waist high
The only thing that I can possibly helping you with is trying to get a diagram of the mower deck to see if everything is in its correct place. If everything is in place like it’s supposed to be then I’m not sure what it could be. Something else I could tell you is to possibly try and find other videos of guys doing the same thing I did but with removing the deck. I hope this helps and if not I’m sorry I couldn’t help.
Thanks for showing how to do it without removing the deck. Every other video shows you have to remove the deck and I figured you could do it without.
I thought I was gonna have to remove the deck too until I just started just messing with all of the things under the deck and went from there.
Lol! Thank you! Just did this and the fellas around me thaught, that more thaught had to happen! To make this happen!
got this exact same mower...love it! but the belt has never been changed and I know the dreadful day is coming but this looks doable. thanks!
Helpful as buttons on barn door
Thanks for the post! Helped.
@@mick58kc72 Glad I could help!
@@mwggarage1968how did you get the belt between the pulley and that metal tab
@@RyanCrego-ie2nq if your talking about the pulley on the deck I loosened the pulley which gave enough room to get the belt on there.

I even pulled the deck same problem had to push it back against the tensioner and missed the pins 3”
My tension spring arm hits the bracket ? Stops not enough to get the belt on ? Came off the clutch pulley
