LWC is clearly a respectable business, and you are a great presenter. I'm struggling to understand why this channel doesn't have more subscribers than any other watch channel.
I've heard a couple of horror stories from dealers about watches picking up scratches while with ebay and also a sound watch failing ausntication without any reasons given.
Yes I have heard the same too. I’ve not had this experience yet and hopefully never ! Its hard having a third person involved in our slick service we offer direct to clients.
Right. People underestimated this. I’ve been in a collectible community (not Rolex) and it happened once a girl claimed she spent $1000+ on a rare item and got a $5 package. She made a big deal out of it but later on she was exposed to be a scammer. Unfortunately the platform (Mercari) trusted the buyer so the seller lost $1000 😔
Fraud is a lot less prevalent on eBay, it’s now the buyers that need sorting out, I had two perfectly legit high end guitars (£5k) returned damaged by customers, who claimed they were fake. eBay made me take them back.
ive bought a good few watches but nothing over £500 , now looking to spen double an i was worried ebay was not the place . now i feel a little more confidant so thanks.
Thank you for your reply. I have been looking into the service more and opinion seems divided as to whether or not the authentication involves opening the case to inspect the mechanisms. Do you know what they do in that regard? Most sources are ambiguous on that, which already makes me nervous.
Hi how much do they take out for ebay fees ? If i sell a watch over £5000. It saying 12.8 + an extra 2% or 3% over £5k final value so does that mean 15% fees that they take out from final value?
I got an older rolex for 700$ (I got ebay authenticity) the person said he had box and papers so i just said yolo. Imma take it to an AD when i get it tho.

My issue with eBay is the scam buyers.

Could possibly be just 3% of the value over £5000.
So 12.8% of 5000 + 3% of what is over 5000.
Would need to look into it though
@@thehonestwatchdealer youre right i just confirmed it with them ty . Love your vids
