    That was a nightmare to get back on. I'll never make that mistake again!
    There's no reason in the world to take that off, unless you were replacing the brake.
    I'm surprised they're even was a video about this. Thank you for posting it and for all your hard work producing it.

      Not a problem. I had someone to ask me how those go on because one of my earlier videos when I replaced the brake flag I didn’t do well enough with my camera angle. I try to do a lot better video in this time, so I actually took it back apart to put it back together. Thank you for watching.

    Dude I am so glad you made this video. I got a PM610 for free and the brake was seized or otherwise very stuck in the on position, got it apart and the whole thing flew apart and I had no idea how to get it back together.

    Oh Maan! Thanks for this video, I have a 610 and it has the same chain brake system but I couldn't figure out how to put this together!! I've been looking for someone to show me how and where to put that spring and finally (I hope) I found your video!! I'll try to do it tomorrow!! Thanks again!!!

    Them Ol boys had it good back in the day before hand brakes🤣

      We would separate the men from the boys if we still had the old heavy stuff.

    I put a PM700 chain brake together the other day, same setup and it wasn't too difficult. I did a 610 one a while back but I can't remember how hard it was.
    If the spring comes out of the notch I recommend taking the flag off and trying again from the start rather than trying to fight the spring with a screwdriver.

      I’m going to try not to do that very much. That is a remake of a video that I made when I first started putting videos on the channel.

    I've got three 610s I'm going to combine and make two. One runs good, but is pretty rough. All I have left to do now is put the oil tank off of the burned up wards saw,and the fuel tank off off the parts saw with a good engine, then I'm putting the good engine in the wards saw.

    the brake i repaired years ago would jump out w use due to coil spring moving up. seems to need a spacer to keep coil spring down tight into dog latch.worked ok then. i filed a v notch in an old screwdriver to allow me to push spring end back and down, still difficult but better.

    • @JKSawShop
      @JKSawShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was no bushing in the original that was broke that I took off. I didn’t know that it had one. Good news is it is still there where it is supposed to be. That spring has a lot of tension.

    The spring falls down after putting in place. It won’t stay centered. Do you think the spring arm that engages the handle is bent. It was working good and the screw that holds the handle on came loose.

      I fought with that thing twice. I put it together once and somebody told me that I didn’t show good enough, and then with ahead and made another video doing it again.
