I'm a 74 YO female. Received care from an ND for 10 years, then moved. I've been carnivore for 13 months since moving. No problem going cold turkey. My arthritic hip (the one I had PRP injections for every 3 months) is pain free. I work out every day. I would respect each patient, as I know you do, but I would not say to deter the highly motivated patient The carnivore WOE is miraculous in its efficacy.

I’m kind of peeved that I believed for so many years that low fat, high fibre would equal a healthy body. Especially the bit that eating high fibre would stop me being hungry because I would be fuller for longer. This never worked for me..... I just had a bloated belly and still desired something more. Carnivore has given me satisfaction beyond belief. People ask me if I miss the salads and veges, but it’s been fairly easy to give up something that made me feel bad.

My Mum is 66 this year, she lost a load of weight following one of these stupid low-fat-diets, but now she's suddenly started going grey. Frankly I think she lost too much weight. She WILL NOT LISTEN to me, it's extremely frustrating. All her friends comment on how well she's done, but here I am watching her eat 0% fat yoghurt and loads of rough veg... Really winds me up.

The mental clarity that you both show while speaking is so impressive. If I needed a specialist, I would now ask if they followed a carnivore diet for this reason alone! I think of all of the times of seeing a doctor who seems to have the inability to explain things to me. I assume now that they suffer from brain fog, like the rest of the veggie eaters. Thank you Dr Chaffee for all of the great interviews. I am on and off carnivore, struggling with emotional eating, but I definitely am eating more carnivore now than before. Every video that I watch of yours inspires me to keep trying. Thank you! Dr. Solt, you are amazing!!! Thank you for sharing all of this knowledge and for your bravery to go against the grain and advise carnivore. Your sincerity shines!

I am eating keto June, July and most of August 2022, now 90 percent carnivore with some cheese and onion. Gained a lot of weight on keto not restricting my amount of eating- eating when hungry and haven’t lost any on carnivore. But I decided to not worry about the scale. I feel happy and healthier eating this way and my body is recomposing and I lost 3 inches waist. Hoping in a couple months weight will follow. When I hear people not overweight dropping weight I can’t believe it- I’m over weight and gaining or now stalling-somewhat discouraging but I will stay the course. Oh yeah - no aches and pains now.

    • @anthonychaffeemd
      @anthonychaffeemd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

Yeah that's the right approach, just focus on how healthy you feel, and realize that if you're losing inches, then you are losing fat. But, you are likely replacing that fat with muscle, which weighs more than fat. So, don't focus on the scale, focus on everything else; the scale will come eventually

Your body is your friend. If you have been unhealthy for decades, it has so much work to do ‘under the hood’. Keep feeding it real human food and it will reward you. This is about the long game, not the first inning.

Unfortunately, when a person is really in pain, and suffering, they are susceptible to following the advice of the top solution from their Google search. I did try a plant-only diet, because, when searching for dietary remedies for rheumatoid arthritis, that's what comes up as the best diet. I even bought the Medical Medium's book. The diet just made me worse. Carnivore has been my life-saver and I have to thank Jordan Peterson for talking about Mikhaila's healing journey through the carnivore diet.

Ordered fajitas, so I ate the steak, cooked onions, bell peppers and guacamole. Left the beans, rice, chips, and tortillas. Hey, close enough. You don't have to be perfect to do this. Dr. Ken Berry is a good source of information on this. BTW, good luck with your decision.

When I talk about keto and more recently carnivour to usually sick fat and unhealthy people, and get the "you don't know what you are talking about" type responce, a great way to deal with this is to say O.K., so is what you are doing working for you? And if you ever cheat or fall of the wagon just remember that you can just get right back on straight away. And if you are going to drink just don't drink with any sort of carbs sugar wine beer anything like that just stick to something simple that doesn't have all the sugar or additives

While I've enjoyed eating the carnivore diet the last year, I have added a small helping of veggies into my diet, mainly for dinner. I just don't seen enough substantial evidence that veggies are bad for the body, especially since my family has a history of eating them and all my family members have had great health, aside from when they died of old age in their 80s/90s that is.... I stay away from sugar based fruits though... The veggies have also brought my high levels of energy back that I had lacked, and I love carrots and fresh green beans, peas and also avocadoes.....

Well the sugar etc is definitely a good one to get rid of, so well done there. If you would like the evidence on the harmful effects of other veggies, brand, etc then you should watch my video called Plants Are Trying To Kill You, which I will link. You can also study horticulture and Botany and see for yourself that this is a very commonly known thing in that field of science. Also if you consider the fact that genetically we are designed to live 120 years, then dying in your 80s and 90s is actually dying 30 or even 40 years prematurely. So, something to think about.

Constipation in that you have dry, hard stools is from not eating enough fat. If you're just talking about infrequent bowel motions, that is normal. On carnivore you will absorb around 98% of the meat that you eat, so almost no waste will go through. And so you will only defecate once or twice a week sometimes. I've done a video on it that you can watch:

Also the Eskimos fed there dogs the lean cuts and they favored the fat, which the early explorers quickly adapted for themselves. Just an FYI, Sargent Charles Floyd was the ONLY member of the Lewis and Clark Crew that died on the Expedition! It is generally believed that his symptoms indicate that he succumbed to Paritinitius caused by a ruptured Appendix! It is noted in the daily entries of the Captains on many occasions that the People of the Expedition were eating POUNDS of meat a day when they could get it, but they ate a great deal of other forage as well. Game meat was not always forthcoming, so they ate what they could find.

They do eat meat, and live off saturated fat. They have stomachs that ferment and they eat the bacteria aka animals. The grass itself does not have the amino acids or energy that cows and horses need to live.

How to cure a nosebleed - the blood can taste sour and that means after all those carnivore diet meals you wonder if the blood can be acidic - like burning fire - the solution: go on an all fruit/ fruit juice diet for fast healing as the body craves for vitamin C and antioxidants. You will be surprise how effective fruit can be for fast healing, especially when having fruit juice together with cold refrigerated water and some lemonjuice for that extra boost in vitamin C. Sometimes I wonder if we are part carnivore, part frugivore diet consumers /*

Message to Dr. Sabrina Solt, from my personal experience: an older person changing to a carnivore diet will be lacking the ability of glycogenesis after years of eating carbs. All their bio marker may improve but they will be suffering from weakness and brain fog. I found that a 1/2 teaspoon of honey twice a day helps tremendously. I have read since than that after a certain age being 100% carnivore may never get an old person to feel healthy and strong. "Life without bread"

I agree about seeing what your body can do on it’s own for menopause. Was on HRT. Could never get the levels right! Gained 13 lbs! It was awful: went keto-high fat- carnivore-no veggies. Tablespoons of butter every day! Feeling better than ever on no HRT. So happy that all the bio identical hormones are out. 53 yo. Also another huge issue is sun exposure! A huge miss in the medical community! Stop wearing sun glass during the day! Let the sunlight reset your Pineal gland!!! Get natural sunlight at least 20 mins. God created us perfect. Women’s hormones switching from her ovaries to her fat cells! We need to be in Ketosis to keep the estrogen production up!!!

I agree that meat is the optimal nutrition for humans. No indigenous person is going to say they prefer a plant over meat. But stop the nonsense about "our ancestors/indigenous" people not liking plants. I have been with Native Americans and Polynesian people and they LOVE eating plants. Stop spreading this false idea that they don't. Native Americans viewed plants as very sacred for both nutrition, healing, and spiritual purposes. Plants would always be a part of their meal even when they had plenty of meat. Carnivores are no different than vegans in that most become dogmatic and cultish.
