    Carnivore diet makes sense in that it is naturally regenerative. Grasses grow, cattle eat them, fertilize the land, and as Dr. Chaffee stated, their hooves create divots that rainwater collects in & seeds blow in to start new growth. This all feeds soil microbes & creates topsoil for healthier growth of grasses.
    I love seeing our fields spotted with new growth around cattle patties. Cattle are sustainable because of their ability to fertilize the land they graze on. They will walk miles for water and salt licks to maintain their health and not overgraze land if managed well.
    It's a science we are learning from Savory and others that is well overdue. We need to support this movement as I now see that cattle and grazing keeps us alive and healthy. We need more small farms to raise cattle. It's for their well being and our own health to get away from the vaccines etc. in commercial feed lots, because of unnatural food they are fed and overcrowding that not only makes cattle sick, but us too. Find a nearby farmer as they do not typically inject their cattle, but asking is ok. If they get upset about your question, walk away and tell them you will think about it, and find one that will tell you.

      @@anthonychaffeemd Sometime could you talk about the connection of the liver, brain and eyes on a carnivore diet? I am seeing a lot of respiratory problems in the news lately (enterovirus). So, that would mean intestinal since its an enterovirus, right? You talked a lot about cows in this interview. When cows get vaxxed w coronavirus shots (like they have been since before the pandemic), it gets passed down to their offspring and milk. If our immunity is in our gut, I would think that gets passed to us too. But because cow stomach tissue is similar to human lung tissue, it expresses as a respiratory problem to humans, even tho it was thru the digestive system. Would love to hear your thoughts on this along with the connection of liver, brain and eyes. Some issues arising from this enterovirus have to do with the liver, neuro and optical. Also - what are your thoughts about BSE with cows? Btw - I like your science-y parts of your shows the best. ❤️

    Hi, Dr. Chaffee! My seven-year-old son refuses to eat meat and insists on being a vegetarian. He can’t stand the idea of killing an animal in order to eat. I’m very worried about his health. He already has heartburn because I know his stomach acids are weak from digesting carbohydrates all day long. I would LOVE if you considered a coordination with someone and together produced a children’s video, explaining how fundamental it is that humans eat meat. 🙏🏻❤️

      That's a good idea and I can try and put my thoughts together to see what would be appropriate for a kids learning video.
      As to your problem though, he has clearly been indoctrinated by someone kids don't think of that on their own the happy told that by teachers or someone they love and respect. And whether that is has scared the hell out of them it made them feel awful for eating animals, which is extremely unethical. I did you start by re-educating him and tell him the fact that it text for land and kills farmer animals to grow crops in it does to just raise animals give them a good life and then eat them. You have to kill 25 times more Scentsy and animals just a grow 1 lb of vegetable based protein than you do to grow 1 lb of animal protein for instance. And then try to convince him to at least eggs because you don't have to kill an animal to do that. You can exclusively feed him eggs and he will thrive, though not as much as if he was on beef. Cook with a lot of butter to get the fat up, and eggs should carry him until you can decondition him from whomever brainwashed him in the first place. Probably his teacher, as they are pushing this hard in schools now

    Good afternoon Dr. Chaffee my name is Mike Gaub. I live in California and I have bene a firemen in the Sacramento region for the last 10 years. I once had Ulcerative colitis. I was diagnosed about 8 years ago, but that was also after probably close to 20 years of having GI issues starting when I was young and into my teenage years. I did not go on medications and did the traditional plants and animal diet for a few years, and things got better, I lost weight...I was about 195 at 5'9"...my weight dropped to about 185 over that first year, but I still had GI issues. More so of bloating, gas, and acid reflux. I still cheated, especially when I was at work in the fire house...I will be the first to tell you that, we are not the healthiest people by any means, even though a lot of us look lean, and fit. Anyways, fast forward a few years. I switched to a ketogenic diet in '18, and then full carnivore in '19 and have been ever since. I still find myself eating raw dairy, red meat95% of the time with occasional free range pork. My gut has been healed since going keto then carnivore/ sapient diet over the last 3.5 years. My skin is great, and I am more fit then I have ever been. I have weighed between 165-170lbs since this change and have a six pack, which I NEVER had while playing college football or in my younger days and I am 38 years old. My wife follows the same life style along with our daughter for the most part and we are all thriving and so happy we found this path. Would love to talk to you about this sometime.
    Thanks for reading,

They do not consider themselves as human, but as higher lifeforms above us human slaves or "cattle", as they like to call us! This is why they utilize various tools (plant diets is one of them) to kill us off and reduce our population to under 1 billion.

    OMG Dr. Chaffe I am so thankful for your research. I have been having horrible bowel problems since being carnivore and I couldn't understand why. Thinking back constipation started back about 6 years ago when I listened to those misguided souls and increased fiber & veggies. I got obsessive about green drinks, all of it. My Dr. kept trying to get me to go vegan and I fought it for a year. When I finally gave in I lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks but I became so ill. I literally couldn't eat enough to sustain me. My hair started falling out. I switched back to keto after 6 weeks then carnivore after 2-3 months. The first month of carnivore was divine but over the next 5 months the constipation got worse. The suggestion I got from a well meaning coach was to eat more salt but too much salt gives me palpitations and I have been even doubling the magnesium with no real results. Not until I started adding more and more fat has it started to get better. I was diagnosed with leaky gut about 7 years ago but was also told to eat more fiber. I am so thankful for you and you are now the only one I want to watch. I've watched and even liked dozens of people but you are the only one that really seems to really provide the help I've needed. I believe I totally destroyed my bowels through accepting advice from other uninformed professionals. Until now I've had to try and figure everything out myself because 95% of the proffesionals I've been to my whole life were clueless in how to help me and I've always been against drugs even though I've been forced to take a few for pain and blood pressure. It's been a slow process but I am seeing little changes, cut down on meds and even more after forcing myself to eat more fat. I have been resistant to fat my whole life, grossed out by it so it's taken me over 5 months to increase it. And I have to tell you I eat it till I'm grossed out and still never get diarrhea so I know my body has a way to go. I have about 20-30 more lbs to get where I want and I haven't lost a lb on carnivore yet but I'm holding my current weight and all I care about is healing my body and hoping at 71 I still have enough years left to be even sort of superhuman like you. I have always been young for my age. But only you have given me real hope. Bless you for coming to us. 😘

    Interesting stuff. I'm enjoying your videos and they're helping me get going to just stop eating plant foods (March 1st through June 5th for a bit over the 90 day challenge I took up). I did a couple of weeks of "zero carb" in February. I really don't even know how much or how long since I was getting so much brain fog with my fibro in recent years. But I had had my health really well regulated for the first time for several years in my 40s. So I already knew and sort of stuck to it that I needed to be grain free, I needed to be very low carb, ...and lots of bits and pieces that seem to matter to my own health experience. But somehow the huge traumas and stresses I had to live through from 2015 through the world going crazy in 2020, and covid in March of 2020 which I at first thought I had handled really well and had a pretty smart time with since I had just come off a long fast and was eating only real food, drinking tons of homemade broth, no sugar or refined carbs or any grains, etc. then the death of my brother and living through a house fire and losing our home in a moment, I ended up with a ton of just spiraling problems and less and less ability to even think straight to make reasonable decisions that I know about throughout any given day. So for a year I had been struggling with the psychology of it and the brain fog knowing that I desperately needed to go back to much more strict and repeat the GAPS diet or try carnivore or something. So in February I got part of the way back to the level of strict I knew I needed. And I used up my homemade dressing I usually have in the fridge which included some plant oils. (NOT hexane oils, but sometimes olive and/or coconut and/or a smaller portion of sunflower or avocado) Huge props go to the D.O. I finally found after over 30 years of doctors. I'd been in a slow decline since birth. Dr Im, D.O. helped me make my first huge leap forward in my health at age 38. I was no longer practically an invalid. I was building up to be able to be useful and loving and good to and for my family, with getting on B12 shots, going gluten free, and working on recovery for my adrenal glands. Huge props go to Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride for my GAPS experience and how great my quality of life became with that and after that for several years. And thanks to so many people who are waking up and spreading the word about how bad the standard American diet is in so many different ways.
    It is notable that I do not share that foundation of your paradigm that everything has to be explainable through macro or generalized evolution. Usually in life such evolutionary arguments make perfect sense to me and I can talk to anyone. The thing that makes sense to a true believer humanist or follower of Darwin style philosophies will also make perfect sense to a true believer in God just as easily (or anyone who is repulsed by Darwin's overall philosophies of bigotry or just feels a good bit of intellectual push back against the reasoning and arguments involved in generalizing from specific evolution to macro evolution. If we wouldn't have evolved that way we also wouldn't have been created to be that way either or vice versa so that no matter what I think of, or hear from, someone else I can convert the wording back and forth to speak to anyone or to listen to anyone. But a few of the more in depth arguments take a lot more thought and sometimes cause me to end at a bit of a push back thinking that there could be fallacies in it because our reasoning is never going to be perfect but always needs to be open to the continuing discussions and challenges. Really appreciate your in-depth discussion! Thanks!
    Here's hoping for the future. I am already getting lots of good clues that this 90 day challenge was a great idea to take up. Like I said, Huge Thanks! Back to my breakfast of beef and lamb. Do you think it is ok that my body seems to always want raw for now? Just curious what you think. I am comfortable with it. And I am assuming that if I'm healing, as I seem to be, eventually I may not have random trouble swallowing. My throat hasn't really seized up badly in a couple of weeks now. But it did sort of threaten to while I was eating some deli roast beef while far from home and unprepared for lunch yesterday. (I usually manage it by having extra fats with every bite, like my homemade dressing, and knowing I can NEVER eat overcooked meats. I'm a bit of a bloody meat kind of girl. I always at every age liked medium rare and rare and eventually even got to try thinks like carpachio and liked that too. "Well done" is already overcooked for sure. The cow was already dead people. You didn't need to kill it again in the oven. lol

On the good side I am 54 with no grey hair, perfect eyesight and the same weight I was in college. For a short time in my 20's I was convinced to be more into "healthy" whole grains. The idea to replace butter and lard with processed oils was another disaster I was talked into. Both gave me chronic diarreah. Going back to meat and eggs as a major part of my diet fixed that. I find that eating select fruits actually gives me more energy and disease resistance, I do believe that plants want us to eat some parts like fruits but not their stems leaves or roots. Currently, I'm 100% carnivore, with the one exception of an 8oz cup of fresh ground organic Costa-Rican coffee (black) in the morning, down from 3 or 4 about 2 months ago. I'm considering doing a 90 day challenge andeliminate it, but for some reason, i have an emotional attachment... which, probably is the best reason to eliminate it, now that I actually verbalized that...

    Really fascinating content Dr Chaffee. Thanks for always providing an eye opening view point! I have a few questions that come to mind.
    1) We have such an abundance of bacteria in our colon, do you think this is there because we used to consume more fibre and it is not beneficial to humans to completely lose this ability?
    2) Through the breakdown of fibre we produce SCFA in the colon. I don't understand where they go from there? We are taught that they are used as fuel and maintenance of colonic epithelial cells. Do they get turned into ketone bodies absorbed through the epithelial lining, transported to the liver and then back to the rest of the body? If so when in ketosis and producing ketones readily we would synthesize the ketone body β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) in the liver from fatty acids anyway so does this make the SCFA argument for eating fibre redundant?
    3) Are there any studies that you know of that follow the traditional Inuit?
    4) What do you think about the argument that evolution doesn't care about longevity, it only cares about getting to a reproducible age. Some argue that yes, meat is evolutionarily consistent but that doesn't make it a food for longevity?
    Thank you for your time! Will definitely continue to support your work

    • @anthonychaffeemd
      @anthonychaffeemd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Hey thank you for the questions and support! Our gut bacteria charges based on what we eat, and we certainly did used to break down fiber, but this was millions of years ago, and if it was of benefit to keep this trait, we would still have a large, working appendix. Some SCFAs can be made this way, though I'm dubious as to how much of this can cross our colon. And either way, this would be a tiny amount that shouldn't make much difference. There are several studies looking at the inuits, but be careful because some doing distinguish between those living naturally as carnivores and those living in cities eating garbage. Read Far of The Land for first hand accounts and insights from a Harvard Professor of ethnology who was a polar explorer and loved directly with them for years and years. That's one argument, but having a lot of elders with knowledge and experience to share to younger generations can definitely be seen as helping the survival of the species. Also, why would meat be good for you, and optional for health and performance, but then not be optimal for longevity? No one has given a good explanation of that from what I've seen. No, meat is the optimal diet for humans, for all values of health, performance, and longevity. Plants containing poison and toxins that damage you directly or cause various diseases are not going to help you live longer.

    I eat a fairly strict carnivore diet, and it has improved my health immensely. I really appreciate Dr. Chafee’s comments geared directly towards that. Some points in this video are just plain false, however. The Mongolians of the famed Mongol Empire weren’t tall, and averaged closer to 5’4” in height, rather than 6’4”. Also, most soybeans harvested worldwide are used for animal feed. The soybean plants aren’t used for animal feed. They’re plowed back into the soil. There’s no need to use blatant falsehoods to promote eating carnivore. The excellent results of the carnivore diet speak for themselves.

    • @anthonychaffeemd
      @anthonychaffeemd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I guess it depends on what you mean by excess fat. Your body can only absorb a certain amount of fat and the rest of that will go out of your intestines in the form of waste. What that other person is probably referring to is excess fat as in excess calories. That in your diet doesn't get utilise as simple as that however and it goes through multiple different biochemical processes. People have thought that excess fat or eating fat turns to fat and get stored as such, but it's really carbohydrates that get stored into fat right away because your body's trying to desperately lower your blood sugar as quickly as possible. And then the insulin forces energy into cells and doesn't allowed to come back out so the bad that you stored cannot be used until the insulin wears off. So it's really carbohydrates it cause you to get fat not eating dietary fat.

I struggle to get 0.2mg a day on carnivour- well below the 1.8mg AI, and I'm wondering if this could lead to deficency over time unless we include carnivour foods like mussels. I know you primarily eat beef, have you found that you have needed to include high manganese carnivour foods, or its not an issue?
