I think I know what happened with the bean mixing. People were probably scooping different beans into the same bag. If the different bean types are all sold in bulk by weight and each type is a different price, it would make it impossible to ring up for the correct price if they’re bagged together.

@@stanleyhape8427 - Not with beans, but I’ve seen this sort of thing before. People mixing bulk goods, thinking they can just get one bag and somehow the cashier can psychically discern the right weights and prices for the hodgepodge they’ve thrown together. I used to go to a shop that had bite size candy in bulk (like Hershey miniatures, and bite size Heath bars.) They weren’t all the same price, but occasionally some dingus would try to throw together a variety bag. Never went well for them.

2:57 it's likely that the internal charger components are arranged in such a way that the connection point between the earpods and the charger is in a place where contact can only be made with the earbuds in this arrangement. Could it be designed differently so it doesn't do that? Most likely. But that would require redesigning the internal components layout, and that's work and as we all know, work sucks, so let's just let the customer deal with it.
