there's a word for that...accomplice.
Corrupt police officers. I've yet to met an honest one.
“We don’t have all the answers” - so why did you arrest him?
The incompetence of this police force is amazing.
This is proof that the system ultimately failed the victim again. Arresting the home owner wanting his property repaired and giving the scammers back their equipment on a silver platter. What a disgrace this country has become.
What a disgrace cops have always been, they’ve always been scummy. Racism is also majorly apparent.
This country is doing amazingly well.
The police are badly trained and protected by conservative leaning police unions.
They aren't even scammers, they didn't even want money from the homeowner. They just did it to antagonize/upset him. There's something way bigger going on.
This happened in Canada.
@@kori_snwthank you I was wondering which Ontario this happened in. There are many. I freaking hate Local Yocal news stations who don't identify where the location is.

I’m no law expert, but is that roller not evidence from a suspected crime? Why do they get it back right away? At the very least, isn’t it part of the investigation?
*IF* they could be bothered to investigate.
It seems the police were too busy supporting the rights of 'businesses' and not the public.
Because cops are just protection/thugs/criminals for business owners. Their other duties are for show.
What crime? It is a civil matter.
@@Tugela60 again, no expert, but wouldn’t they have to be hired for it to be civil? If a random company destroys your driveway with no consent or permission from authority and leaves a scene without explanation, pretty sure that’s destruction of property, among other potential crimes.
@nbarealtalker If could be a mistake, wrong address or whatever, it is still a civil issue unless done with malice. That is something that would have to be proven. Regardless, if the equipment in question is rented, the owner can recover it. It can't arbitarily be siezed by the house occupant, it is not their property and they have no authority to do so.
Lawsuit!!! Lots of money from police and the bad company. Ontario should be disgusted that police didn’t do their due diligence before acting.
So the cops helped the criminals. Got it.

They had not try to bill the owner yet, so there was no fraud.
In Ontario it is easier to sue the police in small claims court. Although the damages are only up to $35,000.

You arrested the victim wtf 🤬 typical of Peel
If the police didn't have such fragile ego's and there was oversight over law enforcement as a whole, maybe jurisdictions would communicate more and things like wouldn't happen with more information being dispersed to various law enforcement agencies. Criminals have exploited the regional nature and 'respect-my-authority' ego's of policing for far too long'. All you have to do as a criminal is cross a regional boundary and suddenly your crimes aren't worth the police's time because it would require co-ordination, paper-work and for them to humble themselves enough to approach another division.
This is how auto theft proliferated, and when police temporarily swallowed their pride, they were able to save 598 stolen cars from being exported.
*Wow, you know those scammers were laughing their heads off when the so-called cops were helping them get their equipment back.*
Incompetent cops too lazy to actually investigate.
So we where is the update on any charges for the scammer? And why was their truck and trailer not towed away if it's coming back unknown? That means they have an inside person who works for a car dealership or ministry, how exactly do you have a vehicle w no attachment to an owner on the road? And when they reported the roller stolen they should have been arrested, 50% chance they are from Brampton.
